Slime pack good job good channel, I have always desire to go into trucking world but ever since I watched and subscribe to your channel you inspire me a lot and I have gotten my permit and DOT physical trying to enroll in a trucking academy.
Nightshift and night driving is the absolute best and so much more laid back. I work 12 hour nights driving Tri Axle tanker and the night flies by. Couldn't pay me enough to run days.
Just a heads up, just had to bring my truck in for a misfire and Peterbilt flushed the injector system and told me I need to run diesel kleen with every fill-up. They say it's because the fuel is bad in the US but basically they are getting clogged up. Just thought I'd let you know so you can possibly avoid future problems. Stay safe out there!
@@cold0eroclean fuel. The best one in my experience is 76, chevron, and shell station. But not truck with trailer friendly. Most are just dirty with sands
Great video!! Stay safe out there. I loved the part where you got to the company's booth and the lady was so friendly and told you that you look like Jasmine Sullivan. It was so funny and refreshing considering some of these places have rude and/or angry employees.
I enjoy your videos, however I would like very much to see more of on the road with your trucking so I can do a bit of sightseeing being that I 've been confined due to a recent hospitalization! Thank you , precious trucker! ❤😊
I like night driving. I’m currently having issues. My def indicator went bad and I been on breakdown pay for two days now. Thankfully I’m in Illinois where I have family.
Ay that shirt is hard, and I felt that “bruh what” all the way over here in Kentucky 😂😂. And lastly that shoulder shrug had me dying😂…drivers know they don’t be trying to stick around for any mess lol 💚🩷❤️
✊🏿I can appreciate the realness you display. If only Mopar still made a semi in sure you would rock that too my sister. Stay safe and stay between the lanes ✊🏿 4:31
Hey slim I wanted to tell you a fee things about the 579 to look out for. I was in a 23 for a while. If you see on you screen it says to stop so not to cause damage to the transmission its a Sensor in the stock that you put in to drive. You have to stop then kill the truck let it sit for a minute then you can drive again. That's only if they didn't fix the issue before you got that truck. Another thing it's if you hear a loud vibration humming sound coming from the top of the roof. It's the black rubber pieces on the back of the cab. They are put on by glue and sometimes they get loose and make a loud vibration sound. One more in the cab around the window all across the top part where your cb and Cubby holes are it can leak when you get a wash or hard rain. But hopefully you don't have any of these issues.
How are you doing Jasmine, I enjoy your content and I also enjoy watching you grow in trucking. I had a question for you, do you exclusively use the GoPro or do you also use your phone for filming?
Yes the new Peterbilt seems they have a computer problem I didn't lease one in 2021 and it was a 2022 with 2.000 Miles and less and a month i get towed to the shop lights paping up in dashboard def on exhaust problem fix and in two weeks it's back I just return it to the company so watch out
Sweetie sometimes you have to make people wait in order for you to get in and out of a dock, it teaches us patience , being a trucker teaches us patience and many other things in life,
I drive nights on intermodal and that shift flys by like a mf. Don't miss those grocery pick up, delivery times and these receivers having 100+ trucks bumping a dock at the same time. Intermodal has it's own shit but, every time I think about driving all day then checking in at a grocery warehouse at 3AM....it ain't so bad lol.
You're the first person i ever heard say Americold. There is a new one down the street from where i work and nothing is going on there. Rows of new reefers, 4 yard tractors. A few employees but no action. Never seen a truck drive in or out. Place has been open(?) for a year
Girl we must be the same. I like to dress cute is what I say when going to shippers and receivers. Yes I drive trucks but when I step out I don’t look like one. ❤❤
Hey it’s Jacob I talked to you earlier today at the Prime Millennium building. I have picked up at that Kens before there in Georgia the staging yard is tiny. Like the longer videos
For the fuel issues people are talking about in the comments, check out the FASS fuel system. It'll replace the paccar fuel filter entirely and do a much better job of filtering out all the riff raff in fuel these days. Know a lot of cats running that with the cummins in place of the fleetguard and I've heard nothing but good things about it.
Hell go park in the fuel island u just going to the bathroom and getting cup of ice snd your scald ticket thats about 30miutes right there of your time
If it ain’t a Cummins or Cat 🐱 with a Manual Transmission it ain’t a Pete or KW😂😂 I’ve owned a automatic and they are JUNK DERATED COMPUTERIZED JUNK😂😂😂 My advice is if are planning on owning that Paccar Mesh buy u a Scanner and a Program for a Paccar engine usually a 1000$ a year for a subscription but you will be happy u did 🫡🚛🚛💨💨💨
Just wanted to give you a word of advice because I’m not sure you have been taught how to properly weigh on the CAT scales. Don’t set your brakes! Put the truck in neutral and then weigh the truck and trailer. If not when you weight your weight will be off and CAT will pull video to see how you weighed your truck and if you set the brakes your eating the overweight ticket not CAT. Ask me how I know… Yeah let’s just say Prime Inc failed me there as well. But I Got my CDL at prime in 2018 been driving since. Hope that helps. Next time you pull on a CAT Scale it says on the directions do not set or apply brakes. This so the scale can move under the truck to balance it and the trailer and then provide you with an accurate weight.
I want you to understand this unfortunate reality A new truck doesn’t mean it excludes problems from happening it’s the opposite from cars in some ways The old truck are literally better in every way
