This is a new Himalayan from Royal Enfield for 2024. It has a completely new engine and it it is a great looking ADV bike. The styling is really attractive. For the price it offers a lot. We can say that this is the first truly modern Royal Enfield. It is for the first time liquid cooled... and a lot more.. Here is what I think of this bike. Watch the video for more. Hi Gregor, I'm not an adventure bike type fancier either, but I have to admit that this machine looked rather handsome (i.m.o.). If I were in the market for a new bike, I would definitely take one of these for a spin. You mentioned @ the very end of the video the color "kaza brown". I would like to see this color in person as we in the U.S.A. usually don't have many motorcycles in brown. So yea, I thought that you did a top notch job in your presentation with this bike. Honestly I didn't expect that much from the RE. :) They made a really good job with this one. Last year I did a short ride on the Interceptor and it felt a very traditional English bike without any thrills, just very stylish. Instead this one is quite the opposite, with a lot of tech and thrills. :) To be honest I like it and I have to admit just like you... that I am not into the ADV bikes with the front 21 inch wheel. :) You can see the Kaza brown on the official RE page. :) It looks great, but this one is better in my opinion. :) Tomorrow will tell them (Motobox) that the video is out. OK It shows up finally on my computer today. Yesterday I sent off 2 comment's to Derek & they just vanished. I have been experiencing computer problems for @ least 3 mo. now. I only have a browser ; Trisha has the main computer. The problem is that I have opened/closed my computer so many times that it's messed up in the hinge area. She is going out to get me a new browser soon. Thanks for checking. We will address this other in the near future.

Very well covered Gregor. I am still not tempted and will stay with my 411. But this appears to be a better built bike and has improved in many ways. Great job 👍🏼

There are lots of firsts for Enfield on this bike. Personally, I think it looks much better than the previous model. As a road rider, I still think it's underpowered, but I'm sure it will appeal to many.

I agree on the look. A great step ahead. The power is OK for a 450 cc, but it is certainly not the bike that would have the power to spare. Thanks for stopping by. I hope that you are happy with the panniers. :)

Enjoyed your review. I test rode a one two days ago and I found exactly the same issue with the gear lever (Im 6 foot), i.e. having to turn my foot in towards the bike. Really nice bike - light handling and very manoeuvrable and a surprising amount of power. A deal breaker for me is the pressure pulses it seemed to generate in my ears going over bumps with ear plugs in (I alway use them)....very similar to buffeting from a screen, but this occurred even at very low speeds on bumpy roads. Seat doesn't have a lott of padding and I think it could've been that as if I eased my weight off the seat it stopped. Tried a bullet straight after and novsign of it.Very strange 🤔

I was hoping to ride one soon, but the importer wasn't able to supply me with one. Probably later this year. Or I will visit a dealership. I wonder how it feels compared to the old engine. Waiting for something like a Scram 450.

Thank you or sharing what you think of the boek Gregor. My knees hurt seeing how bent you knees are on it! Here in the USA there does nto seem to be much interest for this bike, despite all the obvious work RE put into a dressing the previous versions shortcomings. - Frank

The seating is quite comfortable, but I felt more natural on the Himalayan, because I am more used to it. The ER bike are quite popular in Europe, but I dont have any data about models sales. Thanks for tuning in Frank. Appreciate it. Take care. Cheers.

Royal Enfield definitely upped there game with this on they should of but the scram out just this one by the that’s the best colour in them also the most expensive one in that range👍😎🏍️

Riding modes with so little power is not necessary. And they could have put cruise control instead...

the riding mode is only an economy mode though. Great for saving petrol on long trips. Thats all it does, limit power and fuel consumption. The other 2 modes are the same as the first two but with rear abs off. Dont know why people moan about these. Its good to have an economy mode to save fuel when you need to

@@NooBiker “riding modes are not necessary on a bike with so little power”, sounds like complaining to me.. they aren’t real rider modes anyway. It’s not like it has rain and sport etc. it has normal and economy mode that halves the hp 😀

Da, nešto novo kod RE. Modernije ali nije za svakog. Ako si naviknjen na 650 i više... i putuješ u dvoje... onda bolje gledati nešto drugo. Inače... super mašina za male novce. :)

Isto misljenje imam. Verujem u agregat iako je za njih nesto novo vodeno hladjenje... Kazu da su oni stari bili neunistivi. Ali bih ipak voleo provozati makinu,bar jedan krug....
