More power, not less as with the U.K. versions. Better economy More U.K. variants. I want a wilderness but not available in the U.K. not even the Sport come on Subaru.
The only thing that stopped me from upgrading to a new Crosstrek was they don’t offer navigation in the wilderness that was an absolute deal breaker for me especially with the wilderness being the most off road capable model where navigation would be most helpful
Just purchased a 2025 outback limited. While at the dealership, I noticed a bunch of cars parked in basically a field next door. I asked the salesman about that. He said a hailstorm took out over 150 of their new cars, so I asked what will become of them. He said they will mostly be wholesaled. I ended up also buying a 2024 Crosstrek sport for 18 k. Only thing is it had to be paid for in cash, which was fine as i paid cash for the outback. It does have some hail damage on the roof and hood, but not all that bad really. Not sure yet if I am going to get it repaired. Might look into and see what it would cost, but probably will just leave it.
Have a 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness and it should have a front camera as standard. Can't see the nose of the car at all. It's not an option, either. Otherwise, I love this car so far.
You are so lucky. We don’t get many choices of models in the UK, we only get the 134bhp 2 litre hybrid over here but it’s still a great all rounder. It is a shame we cant have the 2.5 the same as we have in the Outback, weird really if we can have one but not the other. The Outback obviously passes EU regulations, and although it has 167bhp as opposed to the 182bhp you get in America, it still doesn’t make sense why we cant have the 167bhp 2.5 in the Crosstrek. If you want a good solid, reliable and comfortable car though for all seasons and don’t expect it to be a sports car, it’s a good purchase. Too many speed cameras, too many other drivers with dash cameras recording everyone and reporting people for tiny little errors because they are sad losers with no lives, its not worth driving like an idiot these days. Relaxing progress, let everyone else get on with it and enjoy your own driving.
Had my '24 Wilderness for about three months and 1700 miles. Cannot sing this thing enough praise although I haven't taken it on a trail yet. Sold my lifted '00 TJ to get into this dad wagon.
when does the UK get their 2024 version? UK/EU are still called XV, but understand it will be Crosstrek globally now. Need better engine power/torque though (2.5), need to really work an NA engine in Scottish highlands, we only get a noisy 2.0L e-Boxer engine option currently, with only 150PS/194Nm, which uses a lot of fuel. Eyesight system is brilliant, love the new version on my Outback Touring!
Needs front parking sensors and a 360° camera. Helpful for city and off road driving. Wished my 2019 Limited had those. I spent $2,300 after a family member hit a car when parking. Front sensors would have prevented that. Considering the current gen. A hybrid would make it a sure thing!
The Touch Screen is not good in my option. Give me a option that does not have a Touch Screen or a screen in general. The Touch Screen/Screen is a Deal Breaker for me. The Touch Screen/Screen is a huge Failure point that could total the entire vehicle. Give me buttons that do not move as they do on a touch screen.
@@mindfullymellow2323if you had a disciplined budget, why would you spend $25,000 on a brand new car with bare minimum features when you could spend $15,000 for a different car that works with also bare minimum features. for just 1-3k more you can get SO much more quality of life improvements.
My family used to love Subaru, but their vehicles have become boring poser vehicles bloated with creepy nannytech. They have like 8 physical buttons for highly specific features like auto vehicle hold, auto headlights, lane assist, etc, but presets for seating positions apparently require a camera to scan the driver? That’s just creepy. You’re a creepy company, Subaru. You’re creeping everyone out. My family will look elsewhere for our next vehicles. Try not to stalk us about it, creep
