We shouldn't have to watch RU-vid to see Durant's performance! CBS should be ashamed of themselves. 10 seconds, a split screen, or whatever to show the ASL performers in action.😢 (BTW, I am a hearing person.)
Daniel’s performance was outstanding, sadly no one got to see it on television. I cannot understand how in 2024, the networks completely blocked off the interpreter. They even made a special announcement that there was going to be a signer for the National Anthem. What a real bummer.
Totally agree. The technology is in place for the interpreter to be in a box with signing so all can see the signer and the singer. The majority of the Deaf population are watching the Super Bowl from home…not in the stands. I wish theM NAD would require this.

Beautiful performance!!! I’ve never seen a song signed before, it was just beautiful. I hope the networks will understand the value of including this in prime time performances, it’s so valuable for the deaf community, but also every community!! Bravo Daniel Durant.

The only Super Bowl news I got before seeing this was from my ASL professor who told us how this year the ASL preformers were basically just introduced so people knew they were inclusive and then got zero(0) screen time. If you wanted to see them you had to go to a different site that was not openly promoted. Which is a huge shame bc I watched the guy who did the national anthem(Daniel Duran) and he slayed big time. (You can find all the performances on RU-vid, even if you don’t know ASL they are still amazing to watch)

I just watched the other two performers and I have to say out of the three he was the best. Nothing topped the young lady last year, she gave everything she had within and you could feel it. The other two this year was okay but comparing the three, this young man was the best.
