Nice seeing new DR videos out here. Looking good, I also have same color but its a 2023. Finally put on the seat concepts seat. What a difference! Was hesitant because of price but wish I had it on 8,000 miles ago 😂.
One of the things that I did to my 2024 DR650 is put on the valve covers with cooling fins on the motor. You can get them from Shotcraft. Relocating the tool kit was a good idea. I picked up the GIVI S250 tool box that I am going to make a bracket for and mount where the factory toolbox goes and relocate the factory toolbox for extra storage.
Funny I’m going through this right now. Waiting for the kit from bush pig performance to come in. Definitely something that could have been fabricated but it’s one less thing for me to stress 😅
After market tanks have evaporation vent too, i guess because any fluid evaporates enclouding gasoline. they just have hose to blow it in the air. You can connect the vent hose from any tank to the canister and save the gas from getting in the air.
Thanks for the tips. I just did both things, pair valve and charcoal box. Did you cut the gas tank vent line or leave it full length? The one that goes to that little 90°valve. Great video.
I did leave it full length temporarily, I believe I only did two rides and then changed tanks so I didn’t leave it running down behind transmission for long
The carburettor has lots of connections and my bike isnt working i dont know if i did something wrong. there is one tube under the carb that must be closed(i have the acerbis 20L tank), one tube that comes from the tank that feeds the gas, is there any other that must be closed? or all the others must be open, please help, your video is very well explained BTW, i already did the charcoal cannister delete, now im following your tutorial for the Pair Valve
Thanks for following along with my videos The bottom of the carb does need a cap or a plug in the existing line to seal it off after canister delete. Do you have your bike running now?
@@baydayz9399 I did the pair valve delete tutorial, and mounted everything back again. bike was stalling when accelerating, i suspect one of the spark plugs wasnt very tight now the bike is running fine. i used the bike for several miles without sealing off the vaccuum line that i sealed now . bike is very smooth now
If keeping the Stock Tank on the bike after mod's. What do you do with the R/side OEM fuel tank vent line that was connected to the roll over valve on the L/side of frame? Plug, leave open, remove and cap at tank, leave roll over valve on bike and reinstall vent line??? Thanks.
I rode the bike after removal and what I did was leave the rubber vent line off the roll Over valve and ran the hose behind the transmission at the bottom to vent and never had an issue
@@baydayz9399this was my question as well. I’ve read some people say to route this vent line up high, or at least above the air box. I just ordered the JD jet kit with extended fuel mixture screw and the charcoal & Pair valve delete kits.
