The Suzuki Jimny 3 door is a favorite among off-road enthusiasts and modders. But its practicality was its one major drawback as you could barely fit 2 people in the vehicle. The 2024 Suzuki Jimny 5 door addresses that drawback by offering a lot more passenger space and cargo space. It's priced a lot higher now though. The base manual model sells for ₱1558000 and the top of the line sells for ₱1698,000.
In this video, we'll do a walk around of the new Jimny 5 door GLX A/T, we'll take it on a test drive and we'll talk about our initial impressions of the vehicle

Correction. I was told that the jimny had an electronic power steering system. That is incorrect. It has a recirculating ball steering system

I wonder what’s stopping other manufacturers from creating their own “jeep” line of vehicles. I mean Mahindra in India has the Thar. The only reason Suzuki can charge these outrageous prices is due to non existent competition in the country.

it looks so good though, grrrrrrr sarap siguro idrive ng manual nito, astig! para sa mga walang pambili ng Jeep. hintayin ko nalang maglabas ang toyota or honda nito, para bumaba ang price. It's too expensive for it's specs.

Here are actual pick-up options that are CURRENTLY priced waaaaay lower than this Jimny, savings of which can be used on parts upgrades. Toyota Hilux J 4x4 - 1.15M php Ford Ranger XL 4x4 - 1.2M php Isuzu DMax LT 4x4 - 1.3M php The Jimny 2 door variant is nice since it has it's own market but this 5 door variant, although niché, looks to be a baby Wrangler or what not. I still like the 2 door tho😅

Hinda ka target market. Yan nga pickup na yan malalaki at walang katulad sa compactness ng jimny. Its no frills at kasya sa masikip.na daan. Sakto to as 2nd to 3rd car.

Yeah like I said, yung Jimny na 2-door ang bumenta since niche market niya kaya siya maganda lalo sa ganung pricepoint. Get that kung gusto mo lang ng maliit na pang siksikan sa traffic at masikip na daan. This new variant is priced more than top tier lifestyle trucks that offers more versatility of being a weekend offroader and a daily workhorse. It actually is priced closer to SUVs. But to your point, those who can afford to buy this as their 3rd car can likely shoot for a proper Subaru AWD or even a Jeep @@dobiebear5701

Fan of Hummer H series and Exterior Design preference are justifications of owners of this Jimny. Sayang mejo overpriced na kulang sa Safety features, more power of engine at Space. Which your 1.7 M budget na makaka bili ka na Hybrid Crossovers or Pickup.

The outdated door handles though. It should be loaded for the price they are asking. And you need to spend upgrading the tires, roof rail, winch etc.

I think those door handles are a nod to old school. That's why some new Dodge and BMW cars still use them.

I'm sure this car is Made in India by Maruti Suzuki. I own one of Jan 24. The 5 door Jimny in India (top-Alpha) spec gets a push button start and keyless entry key fob. The rest is identical, including the tyres.

as per suzuki philippines since mid 2023 the 3 door version sold here were made in japan.

I work on a car carrier ship that's why I know, we are transporting jimny's 3 doors from Japan to mideterenean countries. We also get to load from Mumbai the 5 doors to South Africa. Only the 3 doors are from Japan. 5 doors was design by the indians.

Yes. It has a target market not for mass market. I have 10 seater Toyota Revo and an 5 Seater Toyota Rush...yung 10 seater usually gamit ko pa work eh 99% of the time ako lang mag isa gumagamit at puno ng mga damit ko borloloy. Kaya may appeal for me ito. The 4x4 offroad capability is a plus. The interior appeals to me na minimalist.

It's overpriced, given that no added features except added space & 2 doors. The safety features are lacking. With the same engine being used, it may even compromise power pull & fuel consumption because of added weight. The toyota yaris cross is even more powerful?

Seryoso yaris? This is practical to certain subset of people that can afford it na hanap minimalist. Not as a 1st car sa isang family (yan pasok yaris dyan) but as 2nd to 3rd car.
