Hey Brad really like how you show the whole process of your prep, not just the install. I'm always looking for ways to improve. I have started trimming the rear quarter window rubber too for a better fit only in the last few weeks. If you did want more room for yourself I personally unbolt the rear seat once they are folded down. There are only 2x 14mm bolts at the base of each section under a carpet flap. Keep up the great work

Thank you, I figure people need to learn everything. I still have not recorded cutting the patterns out and weeding them. Videos I'll get to. 👍🏻

Great! It's not just me and all of the Tinters I've trained over the years. I think it really helps with the ease of the install. 👍

Great video !!! From the outside looking in, it looks like limo tint. From the inside looking out it looks like 50% or so. Beautiful work.

Thank you. You are correct, it's a 5%. So, window film is easier to see through where ever it is brighter. So on a dark night you can turn the dome light on in the car and see inside very easily. There is a little snippet of window tinting knowledge for ya. LOL 😆

Love the content! Quick question! Dry shrinking vs wet shrinking is it personal preference or is one better than the other? Thanks for the help!
@EncorePPFtint

Thank you. These window tinting tutorials will get better with some more time. I've only been recording window tinting for a couple of months. I'm going to do some much more in-depth videos on heat shrinking and things. Dry shrinking is leaps and bounds better than wet shrinking. Was taught wet shrinking when I started tinting. I used that technique for a lot of years. Once I tried Dry shrinking.... I never looked back. With dry shrinking, you can shrink the full area around the finger. That really helps with large fingers. With wet shrinking, you only get to shrink the film where it's not touching the glass. Also, water is your enemy when shrinking film. It's working against you the whole time. It is also so much easier to crease the film. Well, there is my input on that. I have a lot more to say, but not with typing. 😆 this is already more of a short story. 🤣

Thanks for the in-depth explanation. I’m just starting to learn the trade. I took the rear quarters out to tint them since this is my first time and they had some small contamination on them. I’m putting off trying to do the back window last because that’s what I fear the most lol. I’m also trying to figure out on a reverse roll how how the liner ends up being on the outside 😂
@EncorePPFtint
@EncorePPFtint 3 месяца назад
I need to do a more in-depth video on the reverse roll as well. It's an awesome technique. I've got more tint videos coming on Fridays. I do explain the reverse roll even better. You need to learn to tint those wings in place. Pulling them out is a bunch of extra work! 👍🏻

Fridays window tint install goes over how to unroll the reverse roll so the liner goes onto the back of the tint. That should give you some good info. 👍

I was told that these cleaning pads can damage the defrost line. What would it be if you had to use a different tool to clean and reach the bottom of that back window?
@EncorePPFtint
@EncorePPFtint 3 месяца назад
First, I'd like to say that these cleaning pads will not damage defroster lines. I've tinted thousands of cars over the years and haven't every damaged any defroster lines with this tool or scrubby pad. I'll give you links to the products I use. Maybe this person was using something that looked close but was more abrasive? Honestly, you won't ever damage defroster lines with these tools. I can't stress that enough. Scrubby pads (I've never bought another brand)- amzn.to/4b2Z7yv Scrubber handle- amzn.to/4aKXxle I've been using these exact scrub pads my entire career. There really isn't much else to use that is more delicate to the surface. These are the most mild scotch brite pads. The next step down would be putting one of the yellow microfiber towels over the scrubber tool and using it that way. 👍 Defective defroster lines might come off, but that will happen with a micro fiber towel or during repositioning of the window film on the glass (during the installation).
