honestly even if the whole line up of hybrid corolla crosses are winners it will be spoiled by the toyota buying experience. if its anything like buying the hybrid alphard, zenix etc. (dealer incentive, top up, opaque waiting lists etc. sama mo na exorbitant markups from secondary dealers who always seem to have them on hand)

You noted the price difference between 1.8 V and the GR-S but I’m more baffled by the difference between 1.8 G and the 1.8 V. Does it really cost that much to add ADAS/radar CC, leather, sequential signal lights, DVR, power liftgate and wheel upsize?

Great video. The 1.8L in Europe has a total of 140HP, and I am seeing that you're mentioning 120HP here. Just trying to understand what differences there might be between the engines. That being said, how did you feel the car's performance? Was acceleration adequate?

Interesting that Toyota Ph decides to offer only HEV. In cambodia and thailand market there is still an option for ICE. The Ph youtube are probably the only english available review for SEA models so thx guys

Malaysian reviews are in English. Though, if from the Philippines... I wouldn't suggest watching it. All you'll see are better versions of the car for pretty much the same (and sometimes lower) prices. Makes it feel quite painful knowing you're getting less bang for buck.

Whoa they are actually stepping up their game adding more safety bits and power tailgate and e-parking brake, dash cam. Thanks to the chinese market that already have those features way back on their older unit/model comes standard also considering what Daihatsu did about NCAP safety on their vehicles they need to get some people’s trust again. I think the interior still somewhat dated and the car is over priced. Im sure some wont agree specially those fan of this brand..not hating on japanese/brand market since I own JP and Chinese vehicles. Sometimes people will say for the reliability and durability/ aftersales, resale value I think we all need to be more open minded not just because its a brand thats been in the country for a while but giving people less for their buck.

The ones sold by Toyota Singapore are imported from Japan. Afaik, Japan factory has access to M20 engine........pero Thailand factory only has 2ZR engine sa ngayon.

You guys didn't mention Toyota "kind'a" cut corners with the hybrid tech battery using old tech Nickel Metal Hydride battery (NiMH) compared to the PREVIOUS production CoroloXhybrid which uses Lithium tech. That kind of battery "kind'a" lasts for a short time JUST ENOUGH to not be covered by the warranty period of 5 years hence the "CHEAPER" initial price. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Marami nanaman magpaayos ng battery neto in the long run. NOTORIOUS battery for being heavy and having Battery memory problems.

Too bad for being hybrid only. This is actually one of my choice, the NA one. The cost of battery will kill the owner after 8 years. Unlike the NA which do not need worry about that.

Nice upgrades, but I feel like Toyota PH will just ruin this lineup with absurd sales practices… (e.g. you always seem to be “#15 - 20”, not even an exact number, on a list even 8 months down the line; it’s somehow always available for those buying through in-house financing)

@@offroadnomad925 pasalamat ka nga at Toyota bought Daihatsu kasi now it's been exposed what Daihatsu has been doing and because Toyota owns them, then they own up to it by doing a major shakeup sa Daihatsu. Kung ibang companies mo pa ito, complacency pa rin mangyayari and you get all these corporate-speak talks and not owning up to the mistakes (Ford for example with their JMC Territory).
