Toyota thinks they can price this higher because they intend to bring to market a Ford Maverick competitor at a price slightly lower than the current Tacoma (guessing). I'm just not seeing customer's salaries increasing at the same rate these vehicles are raising their prices. At current interest rates, this will not be affordable for many (especially with dealer markups). These manufacturer press events feel like a big ole manufactured controlled advertisement where the manufacturer hides the pain $$$$ till the end/near production.

This is the most authoritative channel on off-road reviews, especially when it comes to Toyota and Subaru. This Tacoma refresh looks encouraging. Toyota absolutely nailed it with this updated Tacoma. Probably going to be REALLY pricey, and I am wondering if the hybrid was more for the torque (sorely needed) vs. the fuel economy. All remains to be seen, but the interior re-design looks awesome as does the exterior--Toyota will sell as many as they are capable of making, that's for sure. Great job, Toyota!

People been calling up asking about these. We're already doing pre orders, 10k over for some base model, promised the first Trailhunter at no less than 100k. And we still have the reserve to decide not to sell if we don't feel like if we think we can gouge for even more "market adjustment". In the end, 90% of them pay the extra blackmail we place on them. We get around our floorplan model this way. Just wait till they show the next FJ. Easy 75k-150k. We just tell them up front what it is. Take it , or leave it. If you don't take it, the next Karen or Chad will. Karen needs to pick up her besties, and Chad needs to brag to all his bros on the driving range. You're going to need that street cred. I'm hoping we get that Crown sport. The regular Crown ain't selling. But that Crown Sport looks like a easy scalp..

This is a big win for Toyota. Previously Taco was cramped in the front and back for taller drivers. Looks like they really improved the dimensions for the front seats with only minor improvements in the rear seat. I think most buyers will forgive the limited improvements in rear legroom for a much better seating position in the front. It seems the actual front and rear seats are larger which takes away some of that legroom from the increased cab size. Hard to tell for sure without a side-by-side comparison.

4x4 Hybrid and a 6' bed option? Toyota might have me sold on it. It's shocking with the other brands that did their refreshes this year (or last year) that they didn't have a hybrid in mind. Very intrigued and with the iforcemax coming out next year, just more time to set aside more cash I guess lol (or wait and see how the competition responds).

Dope truck, would love to have one... but I'll stick with my $16k Frontier that I continue to mod out so I can actually use it and not be afraid of it touching dirt... No one that isn't worth several million at least would dare to test what these $50k-$70k trucks are capable of... Ok, I'm sure some will, but I like staying above the poverty line.

I think Toyota nailed it. Real question is how affordable is it going to be.

Did they say anything about the crew cab 6ft bed being available for other trims besides the trailhunter?

Thank you for doing a good job editing. Not saying the other influencers are garbage, but they rushed production and are all over the place.

Depending on the price, I think they knocked it waaaay out of the park. We won't really know until the undefeated champ of trim levels is revealed - TRD Off Road!

The IsoDynamic Performance Seats are standard equipment exclusive to the TRD Pro. Only other seat option is to select another grade level of the Tacoma, i.e. TRD Off-Road.

It does look good inside and out. But I’ll gladly stick with my 21 GX460. GXOR!

I would like to see new Tacoma with some 200-250HP diesel engine and 6 speed manual for markets outside US.

They are hiding the TRD Offroad badly. You can get it in I Force max. I willing to bet you can build it close to this and will be more custom for aftermarket

Good video! My biggest issue is that it seems not a single channel seemed to report anything about the TRD Pro interior. It’s the ONLY interior that is shown and it’s…well…LOUD. No one bothered to ask the simple question: “Will this model come in more than one interior color scheme?” Flown out to Hawaii, put up in hotels, and it seems like most everyone just desperately tried to get as much video footage as they could, but never asked one of the most glaringly obvious questions? I’ve watched just about every release video from last week, and man…not even a “We asked but they couldn’t answer” answer.

Toyota won't know the answer to that yet. The TRD Pro doesn't go into production until 2024. It's waaaaay to early to ask about trim options. Those will be finalized just before the pre-order system goes online. The expectation is that it will follow the Tundra TRD Pro with Red and Black/Gray options.

Isn't the double cab for Tacoma it's crew cab? Isn't it a crew with either a 5 or 6 ft bed? Or did they change the terminology

Honest question about interior design…why do most all of the auto companies make the dashboards on their trucks so high that it’s almost eye level and you can barely see over them? Wouldn’t it make more sense to make it a bit lower so the driver can actually see what’s up in front of them? Let’s give some credit to the crew for filming this even when it was raining down!
