Toyota designs the knobs and switches in the console in a way that it resembles an old-school car radio. Gives it kinda of a retro feel.

Definitely on my short list for the end of 2024. Probably interested in the TRD Sport w/ 6’ bed. I like that the Limited has the Auto AWD, but I don’t like the chrome usually associated with the Limited. A Limited with a blackout package would be nice. In any case, lots of options with the Tacoma. For that matter, lots of mid-size truck options. Price will determine a lot! Also, very interested to see if Toyota addressed the lackluster real world payload of the previous generation.

I never fit in previous generations this truck (at 6’4”) despite loving their look. Just test-fit a new 4th gen. and I can happily say there is plenty of head room. Plenty!!

Toyota has to make it some what competitively priced. The Pro and Trailhunter will more than likely be$60k plus but the more "mainstream" TRD models should start around low $40k up to $48k or so. The SR5 should be around $38k to $42k all in Double Cab configs. Yes there will be demand at first but I bet they will even out to the competition.

As with all midsize trucks, the backseat is a little small. We will do our normal family review with child seat installation as soon as we get one to test. Until then, we have a review of its competition (GMC Canyon) coming out soon.

It says "starting at 28600" So it may be the base model that's that price. This will definitely be around 36k

Are all the Tacoma models available with a standard transmission? Where are these going to be built?

Just the standard engine will offer a manual transmission. Trucks are built in San Antonio Texas.

All these new Toyota's will be junky since it's made in Mexico.....not to mention all Turbo's???? Prone to issues for sure...however I love the looks and style.
