Top speed Seems to be about the same as Honda CB 300 r according to videos. I have a Honda myself. Not tried the top speed myself.

The CB300R I rode back in 2018 did 160 km/h on speedo. I think on GPS that would be around 149 km/h, so basically about the same. I think the Speed 400 has a bit more torque, but the CB300R weighs less, so they should do a match!

Nice, really good video, and hopefully TRIUMPH fixes the speedometer error , 12.5% is a lot of error for bike like that and 150 is a respectable speed for that bike and yes i do like the exhaust note the speed 400 and scram 400x they have a unique bassy note.

Thanks! I'm not sure if they will be able to fix it easily. 150 km/h is fine for a 400cc bike. I wonder what the new Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 will do.

Thanks! It is a demo from the dealership or importer, I have no idea about the color. I noticed it once I got home. Personally I'd prefer the official ones.

Mine is from the dealership or importer. I didn't know this color was an option. Can't find it on the local website. Enjoy yours, I really liked riding it and will get it a little bit longer soon (to test).

I haven't ridden a bike for 20y I was thinking getting a new Speed 400 or used Speed 1200. Which one do you think is a better option?

I don't know the Speed 1200, but the difference will be big. I think you should take a few riding lessons to catch up again and then do a test ride on the 400 and 1200 and make up your mind. The 400 is fun, but can get boring after some time, where the 1200 always has plenty of power. Still I would love the 400 as a 2nd bike.

Looks like we have the same issue with the speedo. Shop said they will need to replace the dash completely but still waiting.

Mine would not start the first day that i got it. Got it to the shop and they i guess fixed it and now it is doing it all over again and it is back in the shop again. I made a video of what it is doing on my channel. I would turn the key to start and and got nothing, i would then turn it off and turn it back on and it would fire right up. It does this ALL THE TIME!!

Yes, I've heard of that problem. Triumph/Bajaj should fix it as it does not make the bike reliable at all (and it hurts the brand name). I don't own one but getting my hands on one in a couple weeks from the importer. I wonder if it has the problem as well. I did not encounter it, but I was only riding it for 30 minutes in total and had started it probably 4 times (also to shoot some videos of the exhaust sound). I hope they can fix it ASAP as the bike itself is really a nice ride.

None really below 8000 rpm. But from 8000 rpm and up you will have vibrations. This is 140 kmh in 6th gear on the speedometer.

Would not want to do that in one day. It probably is possible, but there are better bikes out there for those long rides.

Bikes like the Kawasaki Versys and those that look like it. Yamaha Tracer 7 etc. Perfect for longer travels.

Yeap. These are manufactured by the company who's notorious for having speedometer errors. Especially in their 400CC counterparts.

Bajaj has more of these speedo 'issues'? I hope it can be calibrated. It works for the Benelli TNT 125. That one could be calibrated as it was WAY off too. Even worse than this.

I had seen top speed videos from India but was waiting for your testinf (because you do GPS speed) Is probably the most misleading speedo I have seen, no way that bike is 40hp with that top speed, it does the same speed as my old G310R, so I bet real HP is around 35, a little bit dissapointing How is low end power?

You haven't seen those of Benelli. They are even worse! It might still be 40 hp. It does feel better on the highway than the BMW G310. That one felt like anything above 115 km/h would explode the engine.

bro this is not a racing bike that u expect it to cross 150+ it doesnt have fairing and also no windshield still the throttel response and top end is amazing also the low end torque too i must say amazing bike from Triumph
