Bought my '22RS last February, coming up on one full year of ownership and its been absolutely phenomenal. I did almost 800 miles in a single weekend on it. Really have to ride one to understand it really is that good
I had the Speed Triple Rs1200 , I tried the Street Triple and it’s ok but it doesn’t have the adrenaline rush of the Speed Triple, good bike for London and the uk with its 20 30 mph speed limits tho 👌🏽
Yup. Its my next bike. I did that with a duke 390. My first full size. I had a 110cc starter bike so when I got the duke 390 I put like 1200 miles on it in two weeks. I got it in late April and I have put 4k miles on it so far ;)
Love the editing style you have its epic. I have only just discovered your channel however im now going straight to watch the short film you created and genuinely cannot wait. Keep it up man your smashing it. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your content. Thank you 👏🏼🔥
Love your channel mate. It will grow and grow if you just keep loading the content. I’ve got this bike and you might find you need to use the clutch around town to shift gears. The quick shifter is designed to work when you’re really on it, I’ve never had a problem in those conditions but I have when I’ve been lazy and tried to use it at slower take off speeds. Keep up the great work. P.S. love your instagram page too, awesome photography.
David, thank you for your kind words! That’s the plan, just sharing my passions with whoever is interested mate! Good point, I guess over time you’d get accustomed to it, but had to admit once I got used to the quick shifter I got real lazy real quick 😂
Hi from New Zealand 🇳🇿 Great basic no B/S review well done I've just subscribed. I'm currently daily commuting on a Triumph Trident 660 with a quick shifter with no problems with it.
I have just bought this bike 2024 model for my first A bike from a CBT license and OMG its hell of a machine from the Benelli leonchino 125cc, yep i went straight to this lol stalled it twice at 241mi so far its amazing!
1st to second is a big shift through neutral on any bike - a slightly heavier kick sorts the job.!! Interesting previous comment on the lever support thingy which might be worth looking into.!! Great revue.👍
The speed triple 765 has totally slipped under my radar until the announcement of the “Daytona” 660.... years ago I didn’t like the strange hornet look eyes and just ... forgot about it .... Adjustable suspension on my next motorcycle is a must, I wanted the more relaxed seating position than the r7 and the 8r/trident/cbr650r suspension isn’t good enough, the new Daytona 660 got me thinking “ ok at what price point does triumph offer what I want ? “ well for 700 dollars more THEY OFFER A MONSTER. Seriously 700 more gets 1) 40 lbs lighter 2) brembo 3) 23 more hp/12 more ft/lbs 4) 6 axis imu 5) fully adjustable suspension front/rear ..... and suddenly I didn’t even notice the light cluster lol 700 dollars more for what I just mentioned.
It’s a no brainer imo. Unless you specifically are after what the 660 offers (which, despite the name drama I think is a cracking offer) I’d say the street triple rs is easily the best triumph in their lineup.
I know right. In fairness though you have to credit the other bike $1000.00 or more for the full bodywork but still for $1700.00 it’s still a no brainer

1. The tach is terrible but it's consistent power delivery makes it almost unnecessary. 2. The range is not fabulous. Otherwise it's perfect, for my part.
765 street triples have always been great Folks buy any one of them you can afford and you will be happy. I wouldn't buy the low variant as it lacks enough ground clearance for me but all the rest especially the R if you ride mainly on the roads are brilliant.
I used to Europe tour on a 2014 street triple R only reason I sold it was to have cruise control on next bike .better later than never the speed triple had cruise control as standard for years
Nice video man, really nice camera work and great production quality. You've nailed this review, I ha e had a cosmic yellow RS for 9 months now, the only dislike I ha e is the same as yours. Unfortunately, the quick shifter between 1st and 2nd can sometimes hit a nuetral 😅. It is definitely to do with how precise you are on the lever. If you are near the south of England, feel free to use my bike for a follow up to this. I also have a gold line 22 street scrambler (Triumph through and through). Keep up the good work. 👍🏻
Thanks so much! Very kind. It’s strange isn’t it? I thought I got the hang of it and then every now and then I hit a big fat N right when it matters. I’ll love to take you up on that mate! Send me a DM on instagram if you are over there: @willies_wheels
The 2024 is the best iteration to date. Love the new contour of the tank on the 24, didn't think they could make this bike more comfortable than it already was but here we are. The RS is the better buy for so many reasons, for looks the belly pan and rear seat cowl, for performance you got Brembo Stylema up front and Ohlins STX40 in the back not to mention the ever so superior Supercorsa SP tires make you feel glued to the road. To the guy who thinks you shill because you didn't have enough criticism about the bike, this bike is just that good. The only thing Triumph could do to improve this bike would be to make a fully fairing'd version of the bike and don't touch the riding position, that would be the best bike ever made, or at least it would finally dethrone the Tuono.
Absolutely agree 100%. Seen people make aftermarket fairing for racing which is very cool. I’d LOVE to see a Daytona 765 with full fairings and this bike underneath
Yep they are the perfect road bike. I am on a Speed 1200RS but I came off a 765RS and as much as I adore the speed I will tend to recommend the street rs over it every time someone asks.
@@Willieswheels I agree. The 1200RS is too much for the road. Its measurably less fun than the street rs on the road. Good job though because it makes me ride slower ironically.
Regarding the comments about the quick shifter problem, my dealer (Triumph Norfolk) told me at the outset that you shouldn't use it between 1st and 2nd as no quick shifter likes going through neutral to find the next gear. Strange that other dealers don't give the same advice?
Quickshifter issue has probably to do with not surpassing the necessary criteria in order to shift, from the top of my head you have to surpass 3000rpm for example.
Hi. Glad you love the bike. But how does a bike that has a 30-40% issue of 1st to 2nd changes going into neutral (I think that's what you said) get bike of the year or such a great review. Isn't that an instant fail compared to most other bikes in the category? Regards.
Since filming this I’ve heard it’s designed for 2nd-6th really and when accelerating. So when I was using it in traffic at slower speeds from 1st-2nd it’s not really an ideal use for it.
@@technohamster4783 I'm thinking of buying a yellow one in the next 2-3 months. I didn't know that you have to wait that much. Are you living in the UK?
@@Ventcis yeah in UK, as said I chose to wait as I could have had a red one in a month but yellow would have been in winter, I decided to wait as I don't really ride in winter and I could also save up to buy it and not need finance. Other dealers maybe different too.
I bought my RS in March, it's my third street triple and by far the best, I couldn't believe Triumph could so much improve what was already a great bike but somehow managed it, my only gripe is the TFT, the 2017 was a good TFT, the 2020 not so good and the 2023 by far the worst, it's too cluttered and the lettering and numbers are too small, IMO the more simple one on the Trident and Tiger 660 is a better job that tells you all you require but the TFT is a minor gripe and by no means a deal breaker as I love the bike.
Interesting insight! Sadly I haven’t ridden previous models to compare but didn’t find the TFT to be massively troublesome. Can see your point though the font is super small! I’ll see if I can get a trident dash next to a street and see how they compare. Thanks!
The shift from 1st to 2nd is a lot further than 2nd to 3rd etc.. I had a after market quick shifter on my 2012 speed triple, and don't think I ever had a issue with missing 1st to 2nd.. You have to be committed with the force you put on the shifter. I believe the Motogp guys have a lock out feature via a button or knob on the controls.. My uncle recently bought a 2023? street triple rs same colour as the bike you have. He had a issue with gears in the box not being tightened up and in the end destroying the box so I was told.. Now I don't know if this was a Triumph thing, or whether he is just one giant bell end that can't ride. However I know they've had lots of issues with the Speed triple 1200 over the passed few years.. Over in Western Australia we have quite a few 2021-2023 speed triple with roughly 2000kms up for sale and just not selling.. Anyways you have gained a sub from the other side of the world. Great review. English born, Aussie transferred
Gday! Glad you’re here and thanks for the comment 🙏🏻 I can’t pass judgement on your uncle but that’s an interesting insight, it’s hard to cover any mechanical/longevity in a 2 week loan review which is sometimes frustrating. So thanks for sharing your experience!
Hi from Brazil mate. Have you ever ridden the 2016/2017 Speed Triple R 1050? If yes, how does it compares with this bike? These are the last Speed Triples that arrived here. And costs about 42K here, whereas this Street Triple 765RS here costs 69K nowadays. I've ridden the 2022 765RS and found it kind of weak in low and mid-range, compared with my 2012 BMW F800R. Please, share your thoughts. Thanks and best regards.
Oi amigo! Tudo bem? I haven’t ridden an older triple just yet - but it is on my list! Unfortunately don’t have any useful experience for you mate, desculpa.
The R is actually what you should be buying. Most people don’t need the RS, and will actually enjoy the R on the street far more. Triumph did this intentionally. The R is the road bike that’s track capable, while the RS is the track bike that’s street capable. I’d rather have the one that’s better for everyday spirited riding rather than the one that’s best when being ridden at full tilt.
I was so hyped so I went and test drove the 765RS. I was disappointed beyond believe. The throttle fueling for on off throttle is abrupt and annoying. The engine barely makes a sound and has zero character, whilst other brands make loud bikes even with the latest euro BS. The engine is ok up top and you can tell that the bike has good handling and brakes, but my god was the bike sterile. The dash is also not good nor interesting. I was looking to buy one, but honestly the CB650R is way better road bike and the Duke 890R is a better sporty / track bike.
Nothing like a review that begins with thanking someone for a loaner bike. So the only thing imperfect about the bike was hitting neutral between 1st and 2nd. You are correct, that was pure shill. Thumbs down.
Ride one and let me know what you don’t like… I’m highlighting that it’s a loan & that it’s not a paid advertisement to be as honest as possible. I’m not a full time journalist just a passionate rider who’s fortunate enough to be riding bikes from brands I love. I will be enthusiastic if it’s good and I might miss things because I only have a short time with each bike, which is why I love chatting in the comments with people who own the bike I’m featuring. That’s my experience, if you don’t like it you don’t need to watch it. Thanks for stopping by!
It’s a great bike chassis & power is superb, but it’s ugly as hell. You get off the bike and it’s looks fugly. The headlights and front end is shocking.
