I purchased a 2022 t8 plug in hybrid Worst car I’ve had the misfortune of owning. Was told the fuel consumption would be 70mpg best I can get is 35mpg Over complicated controls and difficult to even change the temperature of the car without taking your eyes off the road to fiddle with the touch screen. I would advise to give the t8 a very wide berth if you’re looking for an economical everyday car. Stick to a diesel and don’t worry about whether you’re doing your bit for the planet. The number of times you have to fill up will keep the oil companies in profit for a long time!!!!
AGREE! Hybrids are horrible and completely misleading on how much you really get for the mileage. SO relieved I returned mine asap within 2 weeks and was able to exchange for a regular gas car PHEW. I feel sorry for those who aren't able to do so and eventually STUCK with a money wasting hybrid.
I have a 2023 xc60 T8. Fantastic car. I charge mine often with an Ohme wall charger on the drive, costs 7p per kilowatt hour, or about 70p per charge for 41 mile Obviously not the right car if you only use recharging at garages etc, or do long journeys frequently. It is insanely quick, super comfortable and looks great in Denim and dark trim and 22 inch wheels. My 5th Volvo and so good. Test drive one before to become a believer.😀👍😀
Would have loved to hear opinions about inside noise when at highway. Not sure if in USA there are roads that can push over 130km/h that is in miles converted. Usually this is speed where all sorts of noise kicks in and tells if its decent or not
