Just bought one in White and I absolutely love this car. It has everything and so many safety features to keep you safe. I also find it to drive so smoothly. Would def recommend this car!

People complain about the power but I have zero issues with acceleration. Feels great all around with incredible gas milage. I have the 24' and will be keeping it for a long time. I installed aftermarket wheels that were much lighter than the factory ones and noticed the car felt faster with better acceleration.

Totally agree....plenty of power for my pleasure. Unless you're 18 and racing with your buddies, this car is perfect in and out. I have the 2024 EX version and loving it 🙂

The Horsepower figure has been reduced 8 horsepower for 2025, now 150 HP on the new K20C9 which is direct injected vs the 2024 K20C2 which is port injected and 158 Hp. The K20C2 is the one to get since it surely prevents any possible carbon buildup on the valves in the long run. Plus you can still get the 2024 civic hatch 2.0L N/A with a 6 speed manual.
@MrDaveaccord
@MrDaveaccord Месяц назад
I looked at a couple 25 Sports last week. One in Raylee red and a new color Blue Lagoon. The red really pops when you see it in person. New engines are Atkinson cycle engines with direct injection. Horsepower is down to 150hp from 158hp, but fuel MPG is up from last year.

@@nelsdale1137if they wanted to, they would have. After all, keeping the c2 would’ve not incurred any development costs. But Honda changed up the engine because they had to, they don’t have the lobbying power to make EPA relax their ever-changing standards

Long live k20c2
@BugsBunny-l2z
@BugsBunny-l2z 21 день назад
Yup...Honda did this on purpose to meet certain carbon and gas commitments for 2025. Although the engine can produce 158hp (if not more), they limited it to 150hp and this was also to entice buyers to opt for the Hybrid...which produces close to 200hp (with the battery plant)...
@jjacob25101
@jjacob25101 21 день назад
@@BugsBunny-l2z Does 8 HP really make a difference. For $300 there's the K-Tuner calibration or the Pedal Commander that just plugs in to get more performance. I don't think that the 8 HP decrease will tempt people to go for the hybrid unless they are already interested in the hybrid for that much more power and have the money to afford it. The Sport doesn't lack power, just not the best acceleration out of the box, but you got a reliable and dependable engine with longevity, and less complication than the hybrid drivetrain and problematic 1.5L turbo engine in the previous Touring/Sport Touring Civic.

Honda removed the turbo option because of the flaws it had... They anticipated that the turbo would require extensive servicing after 5 years of operation...and that's not how you want to remember Hondas.

Also the 2.0 is now GDI and new, so you can't claim it's as reliable than the outgoing port injected 2.0. GDI alone says it may not be.
@Blank00

But then again, the dip in reliability might be insignificant, as was the case when the 2013 Accord and 2015 Fit adopted GDI

Great review thanks. BUT, i prefer the 2024.. The 2025 front bumper is too protruded and i don't like the whale mouth design front grill that seems to be borrowed from the HRV. Plus my 2024 EX has turn signals built into the mirrors. I think the 2024 model is by far the best Civic ever built.

Road noise is the same as older Civics. You notice it more in recent models because the engine is quieter. All you hear is road noise....and also depends on the type of highway you drive on and the quality of your tires.

Still a great car, especially in the Sport Sedan and Hatchback trim. Nice new front fascia bumper and slanted nose from the Hatchback and Si, smoke taillight lenses, blind spot monitoring and rear seat center folding armrest/ cupholders are nice additions and updates. I didn't know the Sport trim now has wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto. The 1.5L turbo 200 horsepower engine is still in the Si. The new Hybrid drivetrain also has 200 horsepower and 232 ft./lbs. torque, a lot more than the Si, albeit, it's a different driving experience with the 6 Speed manual and performance suspension. Otherwise, the Sport trim is well equipped for the price just as I like it, with the manual adjust seats, no sunroof, etc. Other than that, the Hybrid drivetrain, the only things I would not mind in the Sport is the leatherette door and center console storage armrests, is the Bose Stereo, front and rear parking sensors and leather seats, and maybe the upgraded instrument panel display. I really like the extra performance of Sport Touring Hybrid trims with all the bells and whistles, but the Sport trim with the updates still is great, especially with the black wheels. I would get a Boost Blue Pearl or Urban Grey Pearl Hatchback if I wasn't planning on getting an Urban Grey HR-V Sport, which is more practical for what I need and want. The main irks of the Civic Sport is no engine coolant temperature gauge and the auto start/stop. It's not so bad if the drive mode does not change when you shut off the engine, as most of the time I would keep it in Sport mode.

**CORRECTION** This 2025 Civic has a tweaked engine vs 2024. We add direct injection but lose a little bit of power. Previously 158 hp/ 138 lb-ft, now 150 hp/ 133 lb-ft** Thanks for watching! @ReaperOnRepo
@ReaperOnRepo 22 дня назад
I’ve had a 2023 Civic Sport for a year, and it’s CVT transmission. If you were to trade in for one I’d say the SI or Touring Trim have a bit more appeal in their upgrades if you can afford them. Otherwise, it’s been a perfectly fine car. The CVT has been reliable for 25k miles so far but I do think I would have been better off going with a regular trans instead of. It also looks faster than it is 😂

With a 27k sticker you’d be looking at around 30-31k otd. I’ve seen dealer discounts up to $1,500-4k recently depending on the year, so depending on if you qualify for rebates I can see an otd price realistically $29ish on a 2025 with some negotiation involved. If you want to be in and out without much negotiation $31k’ish is my guess. I left Alex’s info in the beginning of the video, he’d give you an exact number 👍🏼

How much will be the Civic SI? And what about the turbo charged engine?
@jjacob25101
@jjacob25101 Месяц назад
I imagine the Si will be around $30. The 1.5L turbo 180 horsepower engine was replaced by the Hybrid drivetrain in the upper two trims. But the Si will still have the 200 horsepower 1.5L turbo engine, and the Type R still gets the 2.0L turbo with 300+ horsepower. The Hybrids have the same horsepower and more torque than the Si, but the Si still has a different driving experience with the Limited Slip Differential, 6 Speed Manual Transmission and performance tuned suspension.
