Huge thanks to Century Kia in Tampa, FL for making this review possible. You can check out their inventory at www.centurykia... or give them a call at 844-757-2536 and ask for Carlos. Thanks for watching!
*Headphone users, I really apologize for the audio, you can fix it on your end by turning on mono audio. For iOS users, go to settings, accessibility, audio+visual, and turn on mono audio and everything will be fixed on your end if you choose to watch. I have ordered a new microphone for all videos starting next week and again, I seriously apologize. My editing software was playing everything back normally so I didn’t notice until it was recently pointed out to me..* Thanks for watching! Not quite. Normal 2nd row captain seats already have a asile in between them. The Kia Carnival allows you to push these seats together... for reasons unknown.
This was the most comprehensive review I’ve seen of this refreshed vehicle. And I’ve seen it all. Will be purchasing this exact trim but a hybrid model whenever it becomes available.
Buddy, you got terribly wrong the way going to the third row. For this car, you need to slide the 2nd row captain seats to the sides and go through the middle. For all other vans, you will go through the way you did, but this one is different.
I don't know why more manufacturers don't try and make their minivans look like SUVs like Hyundai is! Let's be real, most people don't get minivans because they look like minivans!!
Go to Settings > Accessibility > Audio & Visual, turn on mono audio and it will play equally through both headphones. My editing software unfortunately played everything back normally so I wasn’t able to notice until now. I will be buying a new microphone immediately but that should correct everything on your end if you choose to watch in the meantime. Again, I sincerely apologize and will have a new microphone for next weeks videos 👍🏼
Nice car. We were waiting on this '25 model, as our dogs are getting older and struggling to get into the SUV. Great video, but one thing I found distracting was the background music. IMO, I don't think you need this. Otherwise, keep up the good work.
I thought those bright red pull tabs on the back of the 2nd row seats were how you exit the 3rd row and when pulled they pop the 2nd row seat forward, no?
Nope. My wife absolutely loves the captain's chair with ottoman. She sleeps back there on long road trips. Bench is more practical. But for comfort, the captain's chair with ottoman is the way to go...hands down.
@@take5DD If you have kids in child car seats then you don't want the VIP lounge seats (aka captain's chairs) because kids can access the controls while they're in child car seats and recline them and for safety reasons you're not supposed to drive with them in the reclined position. Also, the 2nd row bench seat is removable but the captain's chairs are not so for those of us who occasionally need to put a lot or cargo in the Carnival then the 2nd row bench is a better option.
Planning on test driving this tomorrow and this video covered everything I had on my checklist to see and more. Easily one of the best reviews ever seen.
Overall I enjoyed it. Smooth handling, tight turn radius, good viewing angles, and decent acceleration (although I realized too late I was in eco mode the whole time). I don’t have an SUV so can’t compare to that, but I enjoyed the feel more than our current Camry we drive.
As a car geek and van lover, I’m pretty sure that you have two options for the rear access made easy, all of which you had issue with bc you had both seats moved inward: 1) Slide one to the outward position then the side you want to use primarily for access can just slide FURTHER inside, allowing access to the 3rd row quickly…Like the Honda Odyssey that they copied. 2) Slide both seats outward and use the center row (many do this…Looks like the seats still slide backwards a good bit in outward position. Outward is likely where they’ll be if you’re using the 3rd row as you only need to move inward to lay it past the rear panel. 3) Slide them forward while on the outer most position (maybe?)
The middle row seats shown in this video are the VIP lounge seats and they do NOT come out. The 8 seat version (without the VIP lounge seats) have middle row removable seats. There's no price difference between the standard 8 seat version and the one with the VIP lounge seats since that's a free option.
