The 2025 Lexus UX 300h sees the smallest offering from Toyota's luxury division get a bump in horsepower. It also uses Toyota's new 5th generation hybrid system and is rated at a stunning 5.6L/100 km, or 42 MPG.
Does the smallest Lexus have what it takes to compete with the BMW X1/X2, Volvo XC40 or the Audi Q3?

Went with a 2024 Audi Q3 over this Lexus. Basically same price, more room especially in the storage and back seat area. More HP, 230, no run flat tires, has a spare tire, 8sp trans - no ECT, better ground clearance. The Lexus is a Hybrid so that's a plus in terms of MPG.

My wife needed a small car for work so we ordered a 2025 UX300h FSport2. We already have a 2023 NX350 F Sport 3(gas only model) so she doesn’t need the back seat really. However, I also ordered a 2025 NX450h+ and I will trade in the 2023 NX for that one. 2 things I will lose will be the power rear seats (but honestly I used the feature like 2 times in a year) and the Mark Levinson sound system (which I will be sad to see go but I have tinnitus so I can’t fully appreciate it anyways 🤷‍♂️) Yes, Lexus owns my soul 🤣

If I am rocking a 12 CT200h with 276,000 km, this UX300h will probably last 300,000 quite easily.

This new 5th generation hybrid system was actually first in the prius, and they share the same engine and power figures. the Camry is an iteration of that, but it is a 2.5 liter NA 4 cylinder.

Getting into my 50s now I wanted a comfortable , easy car to commute in , so after research I settled on the 2025 vs the older 2024 250h. I bought a UX 300h Preimum in march after stalking the limited release to the US and LOVE the car. Came over from a tricked out CX-30 Turbo PPT. Im surprised by the torque at highway passing speeds . Great car and very smooth and refined. Japanese car built in japan cannot be beat also. the car is perfect for me in everywya but $$. But you get what you pay for.

Nice review as always. I own a 2024 Fsport2 UX and previously a 2021. Thought about upgrading to this version but the resale value of my '24 sucks right now. Love the UX!

I bought the 2025 Lexus 300h F Sport Handling 10 days ago. I also owned a 2024 BMW X1 M35i. I prefer the Lexus as it handles more easily and I prefer the shift lever, console and info screen to the BMW, although the M35i was 312 HP - which I don't need when my driving is not on the Autobahn. And the UX was $5+k less, plus a no-plug in hybrid with 42 mpg and has a less quirky setup and better paddle shifters which I use for regenerative braking on the hybrid system.

I own the 2024 UX250h FSport2, great car for city commute, and for highways as well. It is a very premium complete package and a good value for the money if value premium interior and better tuning compared to Toyota counterpart model. For 95% of the time, the size is perfect. The remaining 5% is what makes you think about getting a slighthly bigger option, like the NX or even the RX. I already ordered the UX 300h, and I am looking forward to experiencing the needed better torque and +15hp as well as the LSS 3.0. Good review, liked you focus on bright side and the value based on actual usage and needs. Good approach.

I like everything but the grill.
@gl5960
Great video. What is the ground clearance and does it take regular or premium fuel?
@jasonlmh89
Nice video. How’s the road noise in the UX? Is the f sport louder than the luxury trim?
@seanh2390
great video!
@kajukuja
I really like it 🙂👍
@Bonjurro
Does it fold flat in the back with the seats folded? Could someone 6’ tall sleep back there on occasion?
@zippydude3809
great now lexus is going cvt one less brand to pick from, nothing like a standard gears
@davidpereira9238
Fuel consumption is worse than IS which is bigger and 2 gens older hybrid system. Typical SUV, s**t
