1 year into EQS AMG. The car is a dream. Simply outstanding. And about the looks, I can’t go anywhere without people stopping me to ask me about the car. Often they honk at me at a red light to ask me questions. Even kids sometimes scream to their parents to look at this car. It sure is a show stopper. Those who say that it is ugly, man I do not get it. It is gorgeous. I have had zero issues with it, even while driving in Canada weather all winter long. I did burst 2 tires. Our roads are just beyond horrible, especially in Montreal. 22 inch wheels are not made for these roads, but they are very sexy and so I am still on them. Mercedes replaced them free of charge, so that was nice and now I learned to slow down when the roads look more like off roading than actual asphalt. The launch mode at 750 hp is a real catapult. A 6000 pound scar going to 100kph in 3 seconds is a real feat of engineering. This car gets zero complaints from me.
I don't like the way these groups and the government are FORCING EVs on us whether we want them or not . If somebody wants a diesel let them have a diesel ,someone wants a hybrid let them have a hybrid . If you're happy I'm happy you enjoy your in good health and safe driving .
Completely agree, I have the amg eqe, cars been phenomenal and never experienced tech like it before. It’s a rocket and interior is 2nd to none. First EV and the transition has been a breeze. Home charging is so cheap.
@@MeynMotorGroup Only if they own their home and install new electrics for a super charger. And then there are the higher insurance rates, the fire danger, the limited range, the extreme depreciation. The car is suitable for some but certainly not for everyone...
@@jackmorganfiftyfivehigher insurance, fire risks, super chargers, man you are delusional. Evs are absolutely astounding, but like everything until you try you don’t know
I've never understood what's people's issue with the looks of this car. It's streamlined, smooth, gentle - a welcome change in the world of cars that are either blocky or look as if they were trying to immitate someone puffing their cheeks.
Yup. These cars are a dream. The EQS suv is in my family now and I tell you the discounts are awesome. Almost 40k for probably one of the most luxurious cars in the world.
is very ugly car, looks completely rubbish they should install this technology fully electric in S Class just like BMW did with 7 Series one shape with option full electric or with fuel,,, instead of making this ugly EQS!!!!!
I like the look. The cost is out of my range but I am hoping the used market will provide me some options in a couple of years. I have an executive car service and would love to offer an EQS option (esp the executive package)
Test drive during a sales event. They are giving 33% discount for last year model. It’s a nice car but I think Mercedes should follow BMW route where they build the same car but with different drivetrain.
I attest to all this. I leased my 2023 EQS 450+ for less than 800/month, which is the only way I could afford a car like this. Furthermore, I love my car.
Nice! Yes that's def the power of leasing to drive a 6 figure car for the fraction of the cost. Most people just exist but they're not living, I'm glad you took advantage of a great deal. Leasing nice cars like this is perfectly fine as long as it's within your means. Enjoy
@@bilalr7881@bilalr7881 I put down $1,260.00 and decided to go for 12,000 miles per year for two years. I initially did not want to commit to three years because it was my first electric car. They also gave me the charger free for home, a two-year free charge at Electrify America, and rim and dent protection for free. It protects the car from exterior damage for up to $7,500. I could not say no to that deal. I love the car and people constantly looking at it because you don't see them on the road much.
Had a 2022 for a year. Liked it but traded. Just traded a 2023 I bought 10 months ago before the EV market crashed and lost 50% - Traded for the S class of SUVs and Love it. GLS450
Mercedes has been around for a long time, and is a top flight car company. The interior is pretty much flawless. That said, the drivability of the car is so-so. It is masked by the air suspension, which gives a comfortable ride, but everything else about the driving of this car is mid-level. The car is slow, unresponsive, and lacks real range compared to upstart Lucid. For the price of this car, AND the reputation of the company behind it, this does not meet the standard. After driving both, I went with Lucid. Both because I preferred the Lucid and to promote the bold innovations Lucid made to their motors and their approach to vehicle design. The Lucid fits more comfortably in my garage, has less wear on the tires, charges faster, runs longer, drive's better and is very comfortable inside. There's risk going with an upstart, but so far the decision has been rewarded. I expect that Mercedes will adjust and catch up. Other car companies will have more difficulty.
I am in the midst of delivery but have not received the car yet. This is a great tool to negotiate a better deal since I have been waiting for my car over a year. Thank you
Mercedes Benz cars gavecalways been squarish not curvy like this one that's what most fans of the brand havevto get use to . This EQS looks more like a futuristic Citroën than M-B
The design is simply terrible. And price does not match with what you get. But the worst is the design. It was designed with the Chinease market in mind forgetting that the Chinease are now leading the market.
If I was going electric car the Kia ev6 gt is my choice it doesn’t look far off from a regular suv coupes which I love over regular box style SUVs. The Porsche taycan is nice as well.
I’m my opinion the problem is the proportions on the exterior shape, the bonnet is too short and round, the same with the back, the length of the glassed area is too long for the total length of the vehicle, it has the shape of a cockroach, and that gorgeous interior and finishes are outstanding, but when you buy a car in that price range you want a car that looks powerful and strong, not a water bubble in the wind, in my opinion, that is, I’m not trying to convince anyone, but, the sales are saying that there’s something wrong with the car, from my point of view, the only issue is the exterior shape, because quality is as expected, technology and interiors are outstanding as expected, the only problem is the exterior shape, it does not say, “here I am” and on the other hand is very hard to distinguish from his little brother the EQE
Sales are reflected on the price. The Eqs goes upto nearly £160,000 and start at £115,000 approx. It’s cutting edge tech but it’s not affordable to nearly everyone. I honestly cannot fault the eqe. I’ve had my amg eqe for a few months, simply outstanding car. Doesn’t quite corner like other Amg’s but understand the weight distribution is a little off which I am sure will sort eventually on future designs. Tech as I said and interior 2nd to none.
The only redeeming quality is the hyperscreen!!! The cars tech is phenomenal. You must own one to really appreciate it. Yes they are expensive and the reason so many haters is the lack of affordability.
EVS def where deals at, like said most don’t want them. If Tesla is having some sales down turn. You know the others are. We’ll see how things progress as more companies delving in to EVs. Like $108k Macan EV.
Yea EV deals are insane recently saw someone in colorado snag a Kona EV for $99 a month. They're practically giving these things away but only those that know how to finesse the system and know about leasing will buy these vehicles. Masses have no idea how to hack these cars and they simply ignore them due to high MSRPs.
See this is the thing it’s not that most dont want them, it’s the affordability. You don’t need to buy EV so you can get a top spec s class and save £30k instead of an EQS. But this happens with all new tech the principal buyer pays for it. They need to claw back design costs etc. they could reduce the price drastically and still make money. Haters hate as I keep saying because they are narrow minded, can never afford or they prefer another manufacturer.
Environmentally friendly when only a fool would buy a used one. Maybe after a few years they can be crushed and turned into washing machines and fridges. Not sure what they do with the old battery, maybe dump it at the local council park after midnight 😎
@@Nickoboss29buy another brand then, it’s anything but crap. I think the saying goes you get what you pay for. But appreciate affordability is the main issue for hatred of MB. Especially the EQ range.
I leased a 2023 EQS SUV 450 4MATIC. I think that the truck is beautiful, I find myself admiring it inside my garage 😊. I love the shape and all the technology and interior materials that Mercedes used. The car has great pick up without scrambling your brain. I probably should have gone with the EQE SUV because of the size but, mine has all wheel steering and I wanted that feature. I have a GLC300 and sold my GLE350 to get the EQS SUV, nice to keep one gas car in the house. I’m very satisfied with the vehicle and miss it when my wife is driving it.
@@Nickoboss29new crap you don’t have you mean. Same as everything, haters hate because they can’t have. If this car was a quarter of the cost everyone would love it. But nope it’s cutting edge new tech that ultimately with everything the principle purchaser pays a premium.
Masses just don't know how to finesse and hack these vehicles they just get put off by the high MSRP and think it's not for them but if they knew how affordable these cars could be they would sell. Saw some guy in Colorado snag a Kona EV for like $99 a month insane
