Definitely feeling the sv trim more. I saw this on the road today and was shocked that it was the kicks, it looks so good! I'm so happy nissan decided on this redesign 👏🏽
I’ve watched a few reviews and decided to subscribe even though I’m neighbor to south in Rochester NY. Definitely like the SV for the price. The SR interior is better but for me 19” rims are overkill. Agree with owner of last Kicks model. FWD most of us need for everyday. FWD is all I’ve had since moving back here about a decade (aging parents) ago. My 2001 Jetta 5sp fwd with Blizzak snows and my current car 2015 Camry fwd have had no issues with snow here. Grew up here in 70s. I crack up when car shoppers insist on AWD. We managed for generations on RWD cars, station wagons (some lifted 4x4s) plus Jeep models, pickups, some of course were true 4x4s). Anyway to keep Kicks simple I’d rather get FWD add snow tires. My folks Forester with all-season tires didn’t drive as well as my Jetta in snow. Hard to find fwd versions ( if awd offered) of vehicles here because everyone believes they must have awd. Think Nissan has a winner if All new Kicks model & 2L 4cyl proves reliable. Glad they chose to go without tiny turbo 3 cyl like GM and Ford uses in their subcompacts or weaker version of Rogue’s. Thanks for reviewing the S & SV. Peace ☮️
hey thanks for watching.... and appreciating you joining the community. From the sales perspective I i get so frustrated when people demand AWD. I believe it has a lot to do with the marketing as well always pushing all wheel drive. Certainly a good set of snow tires gos a long way and will lower insurance
I like your reviews. So many of the reviews on the new Kicks are ticking me off. They either bash the new Kicks, or they bash my old Kicks (which I like and have had no problems with). You just said they fixed some of the complaints people had about the old Kicks, which is true. They listened to people and tried to do that. I'm fine where I live without AWD. My car was fine on snow. I did get stuck (until someone helped me) in my parking lot once, but that was my fault. I let the car sit for days and let extremely heavy snow freeze around it. Also, I did not know to disengage traction control to get out of snow. My sensors all work great (unlike many other car brands). My gas mileage is excellent. My highest gas mileage was 48.5. All I've had to do are oil and filter changes and tire rotations.
I was waiting for new Kicks and most likely go for SV, surely SR would be my preferred option but the price tag over $30k is a negative side. Thanks for clear and simple comparison!
I bought the SR version 2 days ago. Canyon bronze a beautiful color on the body style absolutely love the look. Funny thing, in 2021 I bought a Rogue sport or what ever you Canuks called it. The kicks was just too toyish and under powered. My local Nissan was pestering me to sell them the Rogue. Apparently because of the hurricanes used vehicles have become in demand. The salesman wanted to show me the new kicks which i imagined to be the same college kid SUV. I was wrong the kicks has grown up. nice styling and features enough power and the cvt is smooth and responsive. I love the flares in the hood, give it an aggressive look.
A 'Huge' plus for me is that all the 2025 Kicks models come with a minimum 8.4 inch ground clearance, which is needed in Northern Ontario 'Snow' country to lessen 'hang-ups' in the harder snow/ice.
I like how the 2025 Kicks SV in Canada has the same digital automatic climate control that my 2023 Nissan Kicks SR Premium has. It looks like the 2025 Kicks SV in the USA does not have the automatic climate control even with the Premium Package SV. Only the SR has the automatic climate control but its touch Sensitive.
@@carsunlockedNow I’m really curious if there’s any way to swap the climate control in my US-spec SV to the Canadian version. In theory, it should just be the control unit itself, some temperature sensors and of course wiring
Legit laughed out loud when the Simpsons clip appeared - thanks for that. Also, I've seen an SV trim without the wheel covers installed yet and I honestly thought it looked better. Steelies are due for a comeback. Missed opportunity Nissan!
Everythings a tradeoff between performance and economy. My new Kicks gets basically the same fuel economy as my old Focus while being a lot more vehicle.
