I have one too, great truck I've put it threw hell and have had no major repairs, just the basics. Love the true ground clearance with nothing hanging to get caught up while cruising the woods. Almost 500K still going.

Car and Driver has an article about this vehicle. Looking more like 2027 than 2025 though. And makes sense for Toyota to come out with this. After the Hyundai Santa Cruz and the Ford Maverick success it only makes sense for Toyota to come out with a vehicle of their own to compete. Pricing estimating for entry level $25,000 to fully equipped $38,000. Then doesn't include dealer markups etc. And based on the direction Toyota went with the Tacoma and 4Runner I would expect the mechanics to be similar to the 2025 Tacoma but with reduced power for it's size. I Actually hope they come out with this and stays close to it's concept styling. But change the name, use the Stout instead of Corolla Pickup.

Funniest part about this, is that we've had trucks like this in Australia for YEARS (for instance this looks suspiciously like the Toyota Hilux we have here) But now that Ford and Holden have closed in Australia, (meaning no more 'sports' utes) people are switching to the gas guzzling 'Murican land whales like Chevy and RAM to get there (ahem) mechanical compensation 'trucks'.

pickup used to be a bit above the price of a regular car , but today most pickup are more expensive than a mercedes , to all car makers make a cheap under $20,000 car or pickup and forget about all the toys like infotainment or electric side mirrors , give us the cars you sell in the third world at a cheap price and if I want to add any electronic toys I will have them added later if I have money to burn but stop pricing those cars out of the range of the average consumer.

If this isn't a prank, because it's to sell at less than $25k, it will be so popular as to be sold out and unavailable... just like the Ford Maverick. That the plan?? I imagine it will also be possible to buy the new pick-up, or slightly used, at far above retail... just like the Maverick. So by that, we're not trading our Maverick to do this again, although we have loved all our super-reliable Priuses. The other reason(s) to love Toyota is, either Toyota is an exceptionally honest and fair company or my dealer is, or both.

1:56 Fits BETWEEN the mid-size and full-size pickups?!? Hard Pass - Only reason I'm still in the market is because the Maverick's been sold out at every dealer and I've been bounced from the wait list TWICE. I want that +40mpg, seats 5(2kids+pets), can carry hurricane supplies in the back and bikes on the hitch. Florida's a loooooong state to evacuate from if there's a Cat3+ and you're stuck near Ft Lauderdale

These kinds of vehicles have been around in Australia and New Zealand for years, in 2 door and 4 2-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. They also come i diesel and petrol as well as a 6 cylinder. They must have decided to bring it out because of its popularity.

A step in the right direction in a miles long trip. I see the same traditional concept with some good improvements at a premium price compared the basic small pick up Toyota become famous for. Just look at the $2,000 Chinese pick up truck and see the possibilities. The problem is that US customers have been victim of propaganda and high prices for too many years.

I could see this corolla starting at $35,000 plus dealer mark-ups of $4,000 no thanks , I'm not buying a over priced truck plus all the problems they have with the new trucks they already have.
