Toyota has been offering mini fridges in their vans since the 80s

I have a ‘24 Sienna AWD Poverty Edition (LE) I love it, 34 mpg all of the time. It actually does better in the city than highway. Few complaints being gutless merging, non-existent passing but otherwise it scoots along fine once up to speed. I will note the speedometer is 2 mph fast to boost the mpg calculation (IMO). If you’re looking for a highway cruiser go back in time and buy a nice traditional V6 Sienna and use the savings towards fuel. If you’re looking for something new and having “eco friendly clout” then this is your ticket. Another Downer is the mid row seats do not fold down like my ‘12 Caravan. However they can come out completely with about 30 minutes of effort. Also beware police agencies like in NYC are using these for their take home cars so criminals need to beware of these vans.

I'm slightly disappointed that you didn't give us an offroad segment to show off that suspension lift and AWD. :)

Great video!!! I have a 2015 Sienna LE and a 2024 Sienna SE. We wanted a Woodland, but it wasn't available in Canada. The Canadian Sienna's do not include the American options. The 110V plugs are not in the Canadian moodels. The new Sienna has unbelievable gas milage, but there were a lot of compromises from our 2015. Both vans are amazing, though. We use them mainly for camping, as our kids are young adults now.

I really want one. I have elderly parents and two small kids and our Honda Pilot is slowly becoming difficult for my parents to climb into. Thanks for this great video!

Of the 4 minivans sold in the USA, The Toyota Sienna is the most reliable minivan. Chrysler's minivan is aging and in need of an update. It's build quality is not as good as Toyota's.
@CsalbertCs
@CsalbertCs 4 дня назад
Yeah maybe it's the most reliable but its also the one with the most obvious design flaws, it's the worst van to live with daily compared to the others. The high hood makes it harder to see in front of you, compared to the Pacifica and Odyssey which have hoods that slope downwards. The large center console makes it difficult to access the second row from the first row, which is a minivan nono. The wireless charger doesn't hold your phone in place. The third row is the tightest of the 3, not in leg room but the width is tighter than the competition which makes it feel more cramped in comparison. If the third row seats are folded with nothing on top of them, sometimes when you hit a bump they will bounce in place and make a loud noise. The interior feels the cheapest of the 4, with the crappiest plastics, despite the Odyssey and Pacifica being much older. You can't remove the second row seats without a power tool. Whiny powertrain but not a big deal for me. Infotainment comes out from the headliner and not the back of the second row seats, so this style means you aren't seeing much from the rear mirror with the second row infotainment in place. But at the end of the day, it gets the best fuel mileage, it holds it's value the best, and it MAY be the most reliable, that's up for debate imo. Remember it's also the most expensive, you could get the Carnival and Pacifica at a cheaper price with a 10 year extended warranty. Imo, the next Sienna could be the greatest minivan with smarter designs, you could make the center console more space efficient by switching to one of those new column style shifters which would free up a lot of space there. The hybrid battery should be put somewhere that allows you to easily remove the 2nd row, and give her rear width back! This powertrain refined, more power and less droney, would also be goated. The updated infotainment is welcome.

and not the honda odyssey? it still uses the traditional j series engine, which still serves extremely well. i would argue the odyssey is likely BETTER value too

@@CsalbertCs Biggest disagreement is with 10 year warranty for Carnival/Pacifica. The stock warranties don't really cover that much, and the extended warranties can be a pain in the ass. Not to mention, them potentially having to be in the shop alot. And for many buyers, they are also looking to stretch past 10 years. Just some other points: Hood isn't higher than any comparable SUV so yes worse in van market, but not bad. From what I can see, only Honda can you remove the center console - so the Sienna is average. Agree with wireless charger, but thats sadly the norm. For third row shoulder width/hip width, barely... Honda 60/48.4, Kia 59.5/50.4, Pacifica 61.2/49.5, Sienna 58.5/48.4. Thats not anywhere near enough to make a buying decision in any direction unless every time you drive the car you are packing that space with adults or car seats. If your putting the seats down - you have something on top of them... Almost nobody cares about removable 2nd row - it's the loud minority. Would it be great? Yes! But it's not a cargo van. For entertainment package - not sure why anyone gets something that is outdated quickly. For your suggestions - alot of consumers hate the buttons, but I could see them switching to that next gen for the reason you stated. The hybrid battery is not what doesn't allow you remove the 2nd row. The battery is under the drivers. The reason you can't remove the seats is because they have airbags in them, whereas the Honda for example does not. For powertain, I'd be surprised if they don't for next gen, offer a prime and/or hybrid max powertrains.

@@huyen.s Better value how? Sienna likely holds it value slightly better - but even outstanding, the savings of the hybrid engine would likely swing it back - wouldn't it?

Maybe if Toyota kept the $ they spent flying utubers around the country to look at their cars and put that into increased production they might have more happy customers!

The 0-60 is faster with the hybrid than the 3rd gen, so maybe not as big of an issue as you think.

@@mattlimberg5763 - I own a ‘24, it’s gutless even in Sport mode. It does cruise nicely once up to highway speed. I’m not worried about 0-60 times, I’m worried about trying to merge onto highway traffic when people won’t let you in. Otherwise I love the van and fully knew it was an underwhelming 4 cyl. I’m just stating facts. I wouldn’t trade it for a new Chrysler nor Honda even if you threw in $10k on top.
@mattlimberg5763

@RustyZipper I have a 2011, it doesn't exactly have much punch after 1st gear and I think almost all new cars have rather dull pedal response, better for fuel economy and smoothness.

Underpowered, overworked 4cyl hybrid, so the reliability won’t be as good as the old V6’s. The interior is outdated, they just slapped on a bigger screen and digital gauge cluster. Looks like an eBay special. But the rest is also outdated, looks like it belongs in 2014. And the worst part, the price. Fully loaded you’re at $60k, then the dealership markups because you can’t get these. And an up and coming issue, this is built in the Indiana factory which is having QC issues.
@RustyZipper

I can’t argue with any of these points. My LE + was $43k. No way I was spending the $57k for a Platinum 🤣

@@jacobkummer2067 Complete redesign. :) That is a joke. The damn vehicle looks uglier than the previous version. And the features have hardly changed. Adding a stupid vacuum and cooler in the 2025 is just as retarded. Takes up space in the cabin area. And a sensor for occupants? So now everyone has to pay for a feature that only the retarded 0.0001% of the people would use to help warn that they've left their baby in a hot car?
