Very nice little saw Mitch. That would be very handy for so many home owners to have. If I may add to your cleanup procedure, always go to the bathroom and get your wife’s toothbrush when cleaning up your chainsaw or things like tractor and automotive fuel parts. For some reason, the women have excellent taste in toothbrushes. Just make sure to clean up the brush thoroughly with either brake cleaner or gasoline before returning the toothbrush.
Ha!😂I thought about it because my toothbrush was so worn out. I am slowly learning not to mess with the wife’s stuff 😂 Thanks for checking out the video Gary and enjoy the nice weather we are having😁👍🚜💨🍳
Just bought the 20v Dewalt saw for the same spring cleanup. Will need to figure a simple carrier for the BX. Also bought a 8” limb trimmer to keep in the motorhome to feed the Solo stove. Nice vid Mitch!
Thanks David 😁I made a video on how to make a cheap chainsaw holder and I made one already for my 20V saw using a piece of PVC but I will have to check when I get home what size. Have a great day 😁👍🚜💨🍳
I remove the oil from my DeWalt eletric after every use (very limited). If I don't drain it out, it ends up escaping anyway and gets on the saw, floor, and anything under it. I'm glad you brought that issue up as I was wondering if my saw was defective.
I have seen videos were they put a O ring on the cap and I did try it when I made the video but decided to edit it out once I noticed that the saw already had a seal in the housing. Thanks for checking out the video. 😁👍🚜💨🍳
@@MJADoingStuff I think mine actually leaks out near the bar base (where it is attached) thru a wicking action. It also might be enhanced by the heat in the warmer months. I don't see it coming from my fill cap. I lay the saw across a small garbage can and that way the fill cap and bar are at the top pointing up. This helps considerably if I still have some undrained oil in the tank. Thanks for your vids. I enjoy them.
@@jifi-0178 I wonder if it could be a leaking tank. I saw a RU-vid video from Prepper Moon Garage. He took his apart and fixed the tank. Have a great weekend😁
It's going to be perfect for your property but it's not RED hihihi. I'll have to check if I have the small hole in the bar 👍🏻. Mine also drips... Diamond plated strap 😂😂. Have a great one Mitch 🙋🏼♂
Hey Luc 😁 After watching you take down that tree with the battery powered saw I felt more confident about purchasing this saw. I used to be all about Milwaukee but they changed the battery style back in the day so now I have a drill with no batteries but I have a 25 year old Dewalt drill I can still use with a adapter. Diamonds 💎 are forever straps.😂 Have a great day 😁👍🚜💨🍳🙋🏻♂️
@@MJADoingStuff My saw is over 2 years old. I would buy it again. Nothing to complain about it.Have fun with it. Chaps will not stop the chain from turning be careful. Later
Great video, thanks for the info. I just purchased this saw on a rain check and can't wait to get my hands on it soon. By the way I hope you know that you are making woodworkers cringe when we see you putting any kind of oily device on top of your cast iron table saw. 😢. Thanks again 👍
Thanks 😁 that is funny about the table saw but this is an old craftsman saw that I turned into a welding table. If Woodworkers seen that video it would be like watching a table saw massacre movie 🍿 😂👍 Thanks for watching 😁👍🚜💨🍳
Thanks Larry 😁 I have not tried an echo saw yet. But I do hear they make a good product. I will have to take a look 👀 Thanks for checking out the video. 😁👍🚜💨🚜
I've had my saws leak at times, but there's no consistency. I've taken to setting them on the floor with a Pig Mat under them, and a unfolded 30 gallon garbage bag under that.
Thanks for sharing your experience. My old Stihl WB 028 AV used to leak in the case really bad so that is why I started to drain the bar oil out when storing over winter. Happy Friday 😁👍🚜💨🍳
Ha!😂you’re poor sister😂 I don’t know about how long the battery’s last but I got two so I can change them out when they are dead.Have a great day 😁👍🚜💨🍳
Mitch, i keep oil and fuel in my gas saw year round. No leaks and it is 12 years old. Not sure why. I am going to purchase the Dewalt 60 Amp 16. I tried one and it is a brut. I may replace the gas saw. Awesome content Dude!!
Thanks Carl 😁It is crazy how far battery powered saw have come. I do like how quiet they are. I may have to try one. thanks for checking out the video and have a good day.😁👍🚜💨🍳
