And biases aside, it's wonderful to see how many current players say that they're here because of her. I have to give the Great a lot of kudos for that
My my my. I was born in 1996, but didn't start watching tennis until 2010. The first ever tennis match I watched was of Serena. She's had me hooked and in love with the sport every since.
Serena is the one and only GOAT in women tennis. She does not only play unbelievable powerful but also very smart tennis with such incredible court coverage over decades. Imagine how long of the compilation if we compile all her incredible points in her entire career.
Omg ! This is so sad. To think it’s finally come to an end in unbelievable. These are the videos that got me through my days. There will never be another Serena Williams ! So glad I was able to live through her time. #Queen #GOAT
Putting my bias aside as a Steffi fan, I agree Serena is the GOAT. I can't argue against her story, legacy, or her higher slam tally in singles, doubles and olympics. However I do think it's a lot closer than some people make it out to be. I rarely even hear graf's or martina's names anymore among the general public, which feels a bit harsh
@@onestage146 imo stuff I Graf is defs 2nd maybe even tied with Serena Margaret court shouldn’t be within the top 3 imo she played against very bad and unknown players
I don't know if anyone ever hungered for "it" as much as she did. She wanted it so bad and had quite the cheer squad behind her. Simply the best. Loved and missed even all the way in Kenya.
It's hard to decide which game is the best, but the game against Dementieva in 2009 was the one I was most excited about. The game was insane, it was wonderful.
Serena's problem legacy-wise is that almost no winning slam final of hers is remembered as an all-time classic. Navratilova and especially Graf had so many great slam final wins which tennis fans remember up to this day. Not Serena.
The undoubted goat. Such an inspiration for athletes everywhere. She will be missed dearly from the tour but we have decades of memories to enjoy over and over again 😁❤️🐐
@@fad2679 A player who was able to lose to giants like Ruano Pascual, Spirlea, Testud, Likhovtseva, Craybas, Srebotnik, Bartoli, Stosur, Makarova, Razzano, Lisicki, Cornet, Vinci, Pliskova, Andreescu, Wang, Sasnovich, Tan, Tomljanovic in slams certainly would never been able to murder the great Steffi Graf or Martina Navratilova.
Watching this video of the GOAT with goosebumps, tears and laughter. Serena gave it all. I miss her so much, not really enjoying Tennis without her tbh!!❤
Serena Williams is just one of the Tennis player there was and still.. Her technique, stamina, and speed it's unbeatable.. However new talent is always updating, and age doesn't lie.. Nicely done! #Tennis #SerenaWilliams #Wimbledon #Bestmoments #2023 ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Living in New Zealand 🇳🇿 sheer stamina with a winning attitude 99.9% of Serena's challenging work days. ILOVEIT 😊 a living legend. Hubby and their daughter would be cheering mum on with gusto. So am I.
Fantastic anyone that play with Serena had to be good I just hope the next coming years that we can see somebody it's great as Serena was it was a great show I hope she continues to follow her dreams .
Peep the evolution. When she was younger her weapon was speed. Then it was about her power. As she gets older she develops crazy serves and returns that allow her to end points so quickly.
In my opinion she is the best all round tennis player ever. Male or female. She is so exciting to watch. And a great role model forall women especially women of colour. Blessings.
No, she simply had far too many losses, even against journeywomen. Imagine, she won only 73 of the 240 tournaments she played!! Court, Evert, Navratilova, Steffi were far more successful in that regard. Even though those greats had to compete against each other!
