Yup… we were never trying to kill anyone. I you got beat it wasn’t because the other b-boy was a bull, and needed to have his whole life canceled…You just went home and worked harder at getting better! These kids today are all soft stupid cry babies! Oh and the girls were super fly, and never wanted in the circle
Boy Sugapop is so young in this documentary is what I call Breakin and Entering.. this is great so see first starts of LA street dance.. RIP SHABBA DOO master Locker, Breaker, popper, he could do it all and make it look smooth and easy. Fun to see Boo Yaa Tribe brothers dancing as Carson City Strutters. Heard in a interview with Kobra where he helped Boogaloo Shrimp improve his dance skills. To see these folks as young back in the day is a trip.. Anna Lollipop Sanchez was a dancin monster . Too many to name and alot of these folks have gone on to be showing their stuff in heaven. Glad these videos are around to go watch and remember. Also Can not forget Ice T for MCing and Rapping in these unforgetable videos. He was an Originator and continues to make music videos he made a few that came out more like movies that I enjoyed.. he was always ahead of the pack....
I know this is hard to find footage right I grew up with all these people my mom did but I know the Baker boys big boy power 106 Palm Beach Street magazine and frame TV underground Lowrider magazines I personally knew art laboe I went to every concert since the 90s
Man, you nailed this documentary. I lived this stuff. It's great seeing long lost friends that inspired me to Pop. That's Ozz from New York at about 13 min mark. I remember him bringing Breakdance to the west coast from New York. We were all blown away!! Lots of poppin going on at the time, but Breakin was a whole different thang.
+Dean Drums If you catch the uncut version (30mins longer) with name captions you will see that is Sugar Pop and not Oz Rock but he looks kind of similar
+Dean Drums, I appreciate your LOVE for b-boying etc. however that is not OZ aka OZ ROCK from NYC! You're mistaking OZ for SUGA POP! Suga Pop is from the west coast and came to NYC and learned a bit of b-boy aka breakdance moves then started to show what he learned when he returned to California. If you notice Suga Pop's moves are still in the beginning stages. OZ was so much more advanced than that at the time when he came to the west coast.
Better quality than another uploader i love the dancing , i just ran into Boogaloo Shrimp, aka turbo over in Cali. i picked up my foundation from turbo and poppin taco when i was younger lol im getting back into it now
not only was this uploaded on my bday lol !! but it's now one of my top favorites on some beat street shit ... west coast style. amazing footage man thanks.
I grew up in this era my mom went to school with iced tea one of the most outrageous times glad to say from the 80s I knew art labo personall 😮😮😮😢😢😢😢RIP PAPA TACO
Hey, Ice-T had some moves back in the day. He went on to explore quite a spectrum of musical flavours, from popish rap to harder stuff like his Body Count band, not to mention that he built a nice acting carreer for himself too. Anyway, it's interesting that the plot of Breakin' 2 was actually something taken from these people's real lives: they really were trying to help kids in their community, using music and dancing as ways to keep them off the streets. The whole "Miracles" storyline was indeed based on what they had going on. But we can tell that at this time the East Coast style was more polished and advanced. LA went on to have some very good dancers, but NY really was the shit.
@@tomking2030 I actually agree with you there. It's not just him, i see it happen with many others. But that's a subject with a lot to be said, and we would be here all day.
Big dude could get down cool crew 😁👍😎 this is history of b boys n b girls part of hip hop rap too new generation don't even know about electro music n breaking was part of hip hop I was a b boy myself back then in the Bronx NY strated 79s 80s then I got into DJ hip hop took me out of the street gangs back in those time west coast was cool dude too that robot style electro music was fresh dope 😁👍😎

The REAL NAME of this is BREAKIN' 'N ENTERIN' ... Idk who edited the opening credits, but theyve clearly added the gang title, which looks nothing like the rest of the real credits that come after.
13:30, I remember these guys at Venice beach filming some dancing that I liked doing. This was the second time I saw them filming, the first time they were being stingy about me breaking in the camera. The guy pulls me in because I was pulling back and didn't want to spoil it for these dudes from New York filming and claiming breaking when they couldn't even do windmills at the time and I was from Long Beach busting moves on them.
I'm trying to find out if he was the owner of the shoulder mounted camera this was filmed on. This was the radio crew because Ice T was the one with the boom box at that time.
Yo ice t used to breakdance o shit nice real old-school ok facts real pioneer man if your from the 70sand80syou are a essence pioneer tohiphop and the movement and got has have a say so .ok people great oldhiil video
When it came to gettin' down on the floor or up rockin' or top rockin' , the east coast was way more talented than out here in L.A. but out here in L.A. or the west coast we had the Boogalooin' and Poppin' on point
It's crazy that there much better popper than the guys from New York, but the guys from dynamic crew Rock Steady crew NYC Breakers win really when it comes to B-Boys
A battle of New York Chicago Detroit Texas San Francisco Portland and Denver Beat stree magazines frame TV another underground magazines art laboe shows rip my uncle from LA TIERRA
Actually, there's a good chance that Ice-T could be the oldest former B-boy that there is. Can anyone think of any other former B-boy who is almost 60? I know there's B-boy Buddha from Canada, who may already be 60.
