I love your videos and have been watching them for years and have even ordered things from you. I do not like the new music. You don't need music or speeding up your work. I love watching all of your work and the music is redundant. Please go back to the way you use to post. You are the best and I have learned a lot from you. Thank you for all you have posted.

Sir you are indeed one the best teachers and we learn so much from your videos... and your tools are the best too.... I have bought a couple of them and am looking forward to buying more. The videos are so perfect and your explanation of the tiniest detail is so very helpful. The one small point sir, and I don't mean it in any negative way - The music is a bit distracting. I really love videos where the sounds are just your instructional voice and explanations and the natural sounds of wheel and clay and tools..... Thanks :-)

Been watching your videos from the beginning and have often wondered how to refer to you. Thanks for the name tutorial, Hsin! The speeded up bits help the flow of the videos, and the music when you're not talking is OK, but a little distracting when you're speaking. The videos are always watchable, and as ever, many thanks for the fine teaching! This particular video is a good one to send my throwing student, who finds this technique hard to understand.

Don't know if you'll actually see this after all this time ... but why not poke the air hole up where you are going to cut the piece apart? It'll just get trimmed off then even if it isn't totally obscured when you complete the separation. And I am loving the tools you sent me. Especially the round bowl ribs - I used to love my Mudtool bowl ribs the most, now I love my Hsin bowl ribs the mostest most! Even the biggest one, which I thought would be really awkward in my small hands, it is not at all awkward. Now if I could just bring myself to scrawl my name on them, so they don't go walkies without me ... but I hate to inflict my hand writing on them LOL!

Thanks again for all your informative videos, Hsin! They enrich the whole pottery community. :D Just one question on this awesome textured box........ How did you glaze the top piece all the way to the bottom? I waxed the bottom of the rim but the wax still dripped down onto my kiln shelf. My tops all cracked but one.

Hola hsin chuen lin , usted es mí referente, le consulto si se puede hacer en torno una cajita de forma rectangular. Mil gracias desde ya .

I don’t think you can make a rectangle box on the wheel. You might want to try slab builds method.

Great videos! Do you fire the glazed pieces together as one piece or separate them? Anyone else know? I would think you would not want the glazed part to touch the kiln.
@elnigma
@elnigma 8 лет назад
+upbeatjazz I don't know, but I think he probably leaves the joined edges of the top of the bottom half and the bottom of the lid) and the part of the foot touching the kiln shelf unglazed but fires them both together. Sometimes if fired separately, one will warp so they don't fit anymore.
