Imagine telling someone 10 years ago that in the future the fear factor host will be hosting a 4 hour debate between the star of hustle and flow vs a math genius about the answer to 1 X 1.
Told my girlfriend today that I listened to these two guys debate for over 4 hours and when she asked me what it was about I couldn't explain one single damn thing...

Thing is Terrence is PASSIONATE and loves it,this level of passion SHOULD BE ENCOURAGED cos frankly not many people give a fuck about it. Take his passion and direct it somewhere helpful instead of crushing it and pissing on it.
i think this happens to most of us in a our school years, unfortunately, we all ask why as children but we are often shut down because its annoying, instead of filled with knowledge and wonder

@@Big_Dip1bc we are able to have an open dialogue of different critical thought and presenting questions that entertain a different train of thought. Remember reality is only factual based upon our realm of existence and understanding from our own lens. But that’s not to say there aren’t other laws and theories that prove otherwise with more new findings as we evolve as a species. Reality is only a social construct as we agree as a collective but true science is entertaining all ideas of critical thought and hypothesis whether it exists now in the past or in the future. We forever can expand our mind. So, it’s nice to see a professor who’s beholden to the constraints of the academia system and peer review and those who have powers against disrupting their educational findings to listen and discuss alternative theories while maintaining prestige.
Terrance is not being attacked or anything, he's being treated like a colleague, you can't proclaim to change fundamental truths in math and attack every scientist in the field with an outrageous hypothesis, and at the same time hide behind things like "self taught" or "that's not how I feel". When Wegner proposed the idea of the continental drift, he was mocked, because it was a hypothesis, but when he started giving out real, proven, hard evidence, the whole world believed him, even those that mocked him; Terrance is being treated like a colleague and is getting his ass kicked and he doesn't like it so he changes subjects or baffles with his bullshit rafale of buzzwords to make it more complicated. this is more than he deserves, and I hope he learns his lesson. Example: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nrOaFxNex7U.html , Terrance says "I have no idea" as soon as Eric says "no one knows" Terrance starts throwing random words and using any word Eric says to fill his sentences while mumbo jumboing the whole thing.
in math, when you are wrong, which can simply mean, being unclear or not adhering to convention, then people will let you know, in doing so they are not attacking you. It is normal process.
The only thing I keep seeing is one that’s been formed to understanding what everyone else has learned and one that’s thinking outside the box. When we look at reality the only thing that actually makes sense is that we know nothing at all. So therefore anything is up for debate. Maybe the knowledge we know is real but that would mean we 100% know whatever we think is true and not just craziness within our brain. But besides that, in all honesty you can’t teach someone something new if it’s something they don’t think could ever exist if it doesn’t make sense within there knowledge. I’m not saying either is right or wrong but the whole story is that we know nothing. We might know parts but even so those parts might be able to be leveled up 100x if we changed something. Reality is we know nothing.

I believe Terrence Howard is onto something. Having said that, I understand what Eric Weinstein is saying, you won't get help in explaining your models if you walk in by making statements as fact that contradicts those with whom you seek help from; let the math get worked out to prove what you claim as fact. What I want to see is, put electricity through Terrence's models, does magnetics come off it with an equal force. If Terrence's thought process is proven to be true, then we could be talking about levitation by electricity. Likewise, we could be talking about free energy from the magnetic field all around us, as both should be equal equations on Earth. I want to see the applications of all the patents of Terrence with implication, to include the "gun" patent. If you could create energy by introducing a frequency to water, then in essence, endless energy could be produced in a less lethal manor than nuclear fission. It's all speculation and theories until you produce something. I want to see more with the periodic table as well. If the octave table is proven, could you play the frequency of gold on a know river with gold flakes and dust, and would that gold become easier to pan? We don't know everything about everything, ask questions and conduct tests.

No podcast in history has whiskey, singing, a harmonica, geometry, physics, algebra, magnetism, electricity with an actor, a scientist and... I would go on but I think you get my drift. Astonishing.
everything terrance is saying is true but it goes way deeper and i can explain everything he is saying and more Weinstein is of course lying and mocking the truth 1 x 1= 2 simply means 1 plus 1 = 2 2 is an issue because technically all is 1 . very simple . also 1 is not a number in numerology so basically numbers dont exist names dont exist, numbers are letters
Hahaha love it! Whats going on is terrence williams has a big huge brain tumour and doesnt know basics and has flown off on tangents of isomorphic connections like a poet forming words into songs which sound similar but makes no sense. Like that italian rapper from the 1940s who made english noises so it sounded like english to italians but actually was just gibberish. And weinstein is exactly like you except hes watching a dog trying to do a card trick and despite being baffled hes not hitting the poor dog.
The Eric Weinstein show! Jesus christ let someone else talk!!! Did not for 1 second give terrance a chance to speak! Neither did he even try to understand his point of view! Loves his own voice far too much even tho i love hearing his theories! Just let someone else speak for gods sake!

I understand where Terrence Howard was coming from! The original machine had a base plate of pre-famulated amulite surmounted by a malleable logarithmic casing in such a way that the two spurving bearings were in a direct line with the panametric fan. The latter consisted simply of six hydrocoptic marzlevanes, so fitted to the ambifacient lunar waneshaft that side fumbling was effectively prevented.

It’s because they create the illusion that there’s a finalized conceptual breakthrough or sacred conclusion, but they’re just trying to “flex” on each other in smart ways and that’s equally amusing.
I am so happy that Eric got to speak to Terrance, because not only did he look at his genius inventions but he also taught him how to communicate with scientists. This is the more valuable part of this. I learned this same lesson years ago and it comes down to people beliefs. If you force a belief on people you make them angry. If you offer a belief you give them a choice. What terrance learned towards the end of the video was changing his language ''This is what I would calll a...'', instead of ''This is a .....'' Thats its terrrance man you can put these ideas out now without imposing on them. So its like you're not claiming it true, you are offering it as your truth for the purpose of explaining the concept.
Having Joe act as a mediator in this episode, was like having Rusell Brand mediating the Korean conflict along with Donald Trump. I admire his interest in topics like this cause it helps shed a light of understanding for us mortals and people who are inquiring about subjects like this and dont have the resources or ability to study in depth. Having said that, now I realize my place in the world and there are somethings I am not going to understand, and therefore I shouldnt be mad or not trust some of the things other people with the knowledge are saying.

@@dotcom4389 You completely misinterpreted what he was trying to do. He actually says the term many times in the podcast, it's called "steelman argument". He wasn't "collecting ammo", he was ensuring that he had a proper understanding of Terrance's view point before trying to engage with it. Otherwise he's only arguing with his IDEA of what Terrance is trying to say. Which we see all the time, and it's super ignorant. He took the time and gave Terrance the opportunity to fully express his ideas and where he was coming from so that he could debate him genuinely.

There is no need. One just tries to find common topics to discuss, instead of one-upmanship. THIS is the issue with the world, especially the US. Every one believes that their knowledge is THE most crucial that the rest should know.
this episode was all about devils advocate, and bridging the science and science outsider community together. he was teaching him how to talk, with language you can suggest an idea as a concept, instead of demand it as fact. he also gave him an open door. this is the best possible thing that could have happened. humanity will benifit from this in the future.
This is why Joe is #1. Nobody screaming. Not trying to listen to a shouting match. It's an open exchange of ideas, where people are communicating. thank you Joe!

Have to slightly disagree there are genuinely great debates like the sam Harris vs Jordan peterson debates with amazing hosts. For the first hour Eric was attempting to explain the errors of terrace flower of life theory and Joe kept changing the subject to nonsense asking Jamie to pull up images of Mexican caves and ying and yang crystals then asking if everyone wanted whiskey whilst terrance would spend 10 minutes rambling between each interruption. Meaning it was taking Eric an hour to get to make a simple point.
