I blame his bad start half way on him just getting there and Eric Rowe really having bad communication problems every time he went out there with Gilmore and Butler. When Jon Jones started in the slot is when things got better for Gilmore

I will admit when we initially signed him I thought we maybe gave a little to much money but never doubted what he was capable of. Even through his slumps he was our best corner and you could see it immediately. I will say I was wrong though and glad I was, he deserves every penny and more. Hope he can stay with the team till he retires.

He literally got 2 catches in a game where the Pats offense kept going 3 and out. One bad game(giving up 2 catches only 80 yards on him overall) out of the whole year especially in the playoffs. Yeah I say thats beast year for a corner especially in a league where Offense scheme everything with Rub/pick routes to free up space.

there's not the clear cut best DB in the league right now, that's why the highest rated guy is at 22. He's in a class with Ramsey, Pat Pete, Byron Jones and maybe a few others. But Sherman's time is over. He's still good but not elite anymore. Hell, he didn't even make the top 100. And Rhodes had two very disappointing up and down seasons in a row now.

He is underrated cause he literally doesn't Chirp. You ask a brilliant offensive mind like Andy Reid of what he thinks of Stephon Gilmore and he will tell you he is the best corner. Its rare for Bill to give his corners 1v1s even if they a special nack for it but he trusted Gilmore with it. That whole AFCCG Gilmore was on an Island with Sammy Watkins and stayed on his ass. Thats amazing when you recognize how great the chiefs are with offensive play design. If they didn't target Watkins at all in that game especially knowing its a 1v1 then that tells you something
