CrossCode without a doubt, that game has dungeons and puzzles that out-Zelda some Zelda games. Top of its class and up there with Hyper Light Drifter IMO.
Arietta of Spirits has my eye, Trigger Witch was fun, and I am hoping to grab a physical version of Turnip Boy at some point. I absolutely loved Moonlighter and Hyper Light Drifter as well. Ittle Dew 2 and Blossom Tales seem awesome and I’ve got them wishlisted now. Thanks for the video. 🔺
You guys do great lists on this channel. Definitely getting Reverie with its Star Tropics vibe. Also Swords of Ditto has become a lot more appealing without permadeath, didn't know they had updated it so thanks.
You forgot Immortals Fenyx Rising which supposedly is like Breath of the Wild. I regret that I missed to buy Ittle Dew 2+ when it was sold, had overlooked that there is a sequel. Playing Zelda A Link to the Past was so great back in the days, I am not sure if today people ever would have the same experience with playing the game, time has changed.
I recommend anyone to try out Phoenotopia: Awakening, which is inspired by Zelda II: The Adventures of Link, but without the jank. It is also a remake of an even older release made for PC, and is free to download from their website, IIRC. But this version of the game is sorta more of a reboot of that original release, with a different story and QoL improvements. Basically, I recommend playing both, if you like. There is also a sequel in the works, and will also be on PC and Switch, so look forward to it.
Nice Recommendations :) blossom tales and ittle dew 2 are so fantastic 🤩i loved this games.Evoland is not fitting right into this List, because it has no Realtime Fights.. instead there are opening sequences to fight with attacks. This is very disappointing. But there are few games, I dont know so far ,I have to try from your list. Baldo i missing.even if its 3d but its soooo close to Zelda, also because it has so many sidequests and nice dungeons and and :)
One more for this list is Ocean's Heart!!! Similar to Zelda but much more intuitive in my opinion and has shorter quests on the dungeons. 5 stars for me! 100% recomend.
Thank you much for this list. What's great is I can see which ones I think I would like and which ones I can take a pass. Cheers. (I'm tossin' this out, cuz I don't see a Triforce on YT.)
You didn't mention Shalnor Legends: Sacred Lands. It's a short game, but it's very cheap and one of the first games I bought on the Switch. I thoroughly enjoyed it
"best indie game" and "triple A mobile game" seem like the very definition of "damning with false praise". The word "indie" or "mobile" immediately refutes the preceding words indicating it's of good quality.
🔺️Excellent video & list. Maybe these companies will get smart & re-release their games physically especially since there are double the amount of switch owners.
When I think of Zelda clones, immediately 3D Dot Game Hero on PS3, and Adventure Time: Hey Ice King Why Did You Steal Our Garbage? on DS and 3DS (not physically available here i EU though) come to mind, respectively "clones" of Zelda 1 en Zelda 2. I played quite a few on the list, and enjoyed most of the ones I played, but Minit always has a special place for me.
@@ernestomaserati9417 Yeah, it deserves more attention, but its low quantity availability only on a platform that is no longer "relevant", and the high prices, won't help. I'm glad I got it when the prices were just starting to go up, from a store that saw it as an outlet. I think I paid about €10 for it back in the day, used but as new.
@@samuelc6246 That was lucky. I would not pay the very high prices because they likely would drop when a remake is published, then I would regret having bought it for so much. There are exceptions, I have seen Demon's Souls special editions on PS 3 are still very expensive in good condition.
Great video ! Anodyne 2, ary and the secret of seasons (3D zelda games) could have been mentioned. shalnor legends, stranded sails, sparklite, katana kami, fairune collection (already said), weakwood throne, super cane magic zero were missing. I didn't know knightin, rach n ruin and cave bad. Thanks.
@@voiceinthewilderness7309 There are a few other games but nothing I needed. I did have to turn on the Translate in Chrome, but that's the only odd thing. They take paypal.
