Make sure the 7th Chapter in the Wind in the Willows is The Piper at the Gates of Dawn. It was eliminated from older copies. It is one of the most beautiful chapters ever written. Simply Glorious.
Carrie was an ok read but I think you will enjoy Salem's lot more🦹. Such a great list of books 📚❤. Wind in the Willows is magical. I just read North and South👍⭐, Cranford and currently on Moorland cottage, lovely writing. Enjoy 2024🎇🎆
Wow some large books on the TBR! I would like to read some of the classics in 2024, I haven’t decided which one to start with, any tips? 🌌🌃 Sorry can’t remember what emoji you wanted so I went for a star. 🌟
There are so many good ones! Mystery - Sherlock Holmes, Romance - Jane Austen (any), Gothic - Frankienstien They are all good starting points depending on the type of book you want to read
❤📚 I love King Arthur stories! I've read The Forever King twice and so many others! I'm adding this one to my list. Thanks! 2024 will be wonderful for you. I'm sure.
Carrie was my first every Stephen King (and also my first horror) loved it on the first read and still really enjoyed on the reread, plus I'm adding more and more King to my tbr (Read The Shining this October, which was also great!) - The Book Thief is also on my list for this year, and I'm hoping to read The Count of Monte Cristo with Emmie and Carolyn Marie Reads' Game of Tomes bookclub. There's so many books on your list that I've had my eye on so I'm so excited to see what you think of them! 🎆
I was listening to the audio of The Haunting of Hill House but I was struggling with it, idk if it’s the narrator or what but I think I’m going to try the physical copy! 💥💥
Honestly, applaud you for so many big books on this list. Hope you do get to Gideon this year!! So dang good- and also hope the fourth book actually comes out this yeah 🥲🎆
I really wish i could make a solid tbr but this year has been my worst reading year and so i don’t want to forced myself into anything. My focus on 2024 is finish books I have on my tbr shelf. 😊🎇
I read about half of The Book Thief in middle school, and I really enjoyed it. I think I would have to buy the book to finish it, just so I can annotate it. 🎆
🎆 I enjoy making year long TBRs. I'm excited for the ones on my 2024 list. I've read the following books from your TBR: Treasure Island The Mysteries of Udolpho The Secret History Empire of the Vampire The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue The Book Thief The Wind in the Willows The Haunting of Hill House
I didn't realize that you never finished Baru Cormorant. All I can say is good luck with the ending. You're going to love it, but prepare yourself. Awe! The Magician's Daughter!!!! 😍 I'm interested to hear what you think of The First Binding. Oh my gosh! I'm currently rereading Addie Larue and I'm loving it even more than the first time. I have Haunting of Hill House on my TBR for next month (at least I hope to get to it)! You can finish War and Peace in 2024. I believe in you! I loved the Count of Monte Cristo, but it did take me forever to get through. I am going to do a 24 in 2024 in January. 🎆
Great idea for a video!!! Can't wait to hear what you think about your first Stephen King book 😁 Although I would still recommend maybe "The Long Walk" first... but Carrie is classic King of course 🤗
🎆🎆 I never make a set tbr but I would like to finish The Way of Kings and maybe get through most of the series. I also want to get out of the sesonal box that I put some books into. For example I have so many "fall reads" that there is no way I could possibly get to them all in one season.
I haven't heard anyone talk about Court of Swans either. I added it to my tbr. The Name of the Rose is so much fun. There's a lot of references to classic detectives, like Sherlock Holmes.
@@ReadingNymph actually, I just saw a "trailer" for the Netflix Book Club where they recommend books that they have adapted and talk about the making of said adaptations... if that helps somehow .. perhaps a compare and contrast including the Netflix side, if you see what I mean ... Happy Christmas! If that is your Holiday. 🙂
I have not made a TBR for the new year, but I do wanna read more of the books I bought these past 2 years. I have books I can follow along with audio as well as books I need to read physically, so I will work on both sides as much as I can. I'm gonna try to read more next year, and spend less time on RU-vid so that I can focus on reading at least 100 books. Would be aweome if I got that far by June, but that would mean I have to read 4 books a week, and I don't know if I can do that seeing as I go to the gym and all. I'll see what I can manage. But the gym only takes about an hour and a half of my time, maybe 2 hours. If I remember, I'll let you know how I'm doing. I also have not read any of the books you mention in this video. I don't know why, but I've been more into middle grade lately than YA or adult books but I have YA and adult books on Audible so I will still try to read them. I'm hoping they're good because last ones sucked. Have a Merry Christmas! I hope you have fun with your family and get to see your friends, too. I will be going to my brother's house tonight and my dad's house tomorrow. I went to my cousin's house yesterday to have a "Cousins' Dinner" with about 15 of our cousins we see more often. I don't think I will be doing any other thing this Christmastime, though. Hope you have an awesome last week of the year and your new year starts off amazingly.
@@ReadingNymph Thanks! In case you are curious, I was finally able to fix my document with all my books listed on it and these are the numbers I ended up with: 256 unread books 79 read books 335 books in total For the longest time, this number was weird and never added up, so I'm glad I changed the way I had the books on the file and now I can know how much I can work with. Also added books to my new cart. I now have 1 cart with books I can listen to on audio and another cart with books I have to read physically because there is no audiobook for them. The "no audiobook" cart is fuller than the audiobook one, though, which is sad because I listen to more audiobooks than I actually read physically. Hope your day is a great one. I'm going to my dad's house later, but I know I am not getting a gift card for Amazon to buy more books. LOL Did not get a single one this year, either...
@enchantedadventuresthrough3065 they definitely need to do more audiobooks, it makes reading so much more accessible. Oh no sorry you didn't get any books, its the bane of book lovers, to be told you have enough and get something else 😅 I hope you still got some lovely gifts though
I did end up getting an Amazon gift card, but it's only $25 and it's hard to get books with that. I'm gonna go look for a possible way but I don't know if I will succeed by the end of the day. I have many options but I may not want that book right now. We'll see... I didn't enjoy being at my dad's house and think I might skip it next year. He didn't give me anything this year because his wife said he does a lot for me already. All he does is take out money from my bank that I need for other things and uses it for the endless suply of milk for my coffee. While I'm glad I almost always have milk for the coffee, I don't wanna spend $200 every month on milk. That's what he takes from my account each month for that. And, I don't know how much he has left at the end of each month so he is always getting more money from my account. I'm on a budget and he prevents me from working on it when he takes money like that, "for nothing" as I say. Also, I think I may be coming down with a cold because my throat hurts and I'm sneezing more than usual. I hope I'm wrong and it's nothing but I don't know. My grandmother gave me $100 cash and my godfather gave me $50 cash but I don't know if I wanna use this money for more books, as I should (LOL), or wait to have my new apartment and try to find furniture to buy for my bedroom because what I have is annoyingly different colors and I've been hating it for some time now. I also have no space for any of my clothes, which sucks... I'm gonna find a way to make my $25 gift card work out so I don't lose any of the money and I'm gonna see if I can send the package to my sister-in-law so that I can get it but I also think I can get it at my apartment because it should come before I go back to the gym. Also, I have some extra money I can use for more books so I think I will try to get more books, but I have to find the ones that will come before the end of the year so that I can have them sent to my apartment instead of my brother's house... I've been working on this message to you for some time now, trying to keep it short, but each time I end up writing something super long. LMAO... I'm gonna go now and see what I can do with Amazon and will let you know if I successfully found something for $25 lol
