We continue our Olympic National Park Adventures by moving the RV to the West Olympic National Forest to an amazing campsite Tate scouted on the motorcycle before hand. The campsite didn't cost anything and was nestled 40 miles south of the Hoh Rainforest and 30 miles from the Pacific Beaches in the Olympic National Forest.
We had many fires using wood we found in our gigantic space and had the area all to ourselves. Since we were in between both the Hoh and the Quinault Rainforests it rained 5 of the 7 days we were there but during the two sunny days we headed to explore Pacific Beach and then finally the HOH rainforest, the main reason we came to the Olympic Peninsula.
We hiked 10 miles round trip down the "Hoh River Trail" which took us through all the changing landscapes of this amazingly moss covered and wet forest. We were really lucky to have the time to wait out a sunny day to visit as it rains 130 a year here and most often is rainy and the ground muddy.
