It'd be nice if you could get the bts of the people who make or source the clothing in those shops. Also how culture informs their business, that'd be nice to know.

ERD was a rich kid whos parents bankrolled him to start the brand, with the goal of making it expensive/unobtainable for the sake of being expensive/unobtainable. I think it just rode on the chrome hearts wave since its similar aesthetically, and aspirational brands tend to be big right now. I agree with you, however, bargain bin garbage imo. At least its mostly made in USA!
