I have only bought a few very special items from Visvim in person at retail. I tend to get my pieces from a variety of stockists and marketplaces online.
Thanks for watching. Yeah once i finished recording 2.5 hours I realized the entire audio level was messed up to the point that I couldn’t get a good balance with the music without re-recording :/ I didn’t want to scrap the entire video because i didn’t know when i would be able to make it again so i figured at least give the best product i could make with what i had. Going to go back to using a lav mic for future videos. Sorry about that.
Hey dude, solid video. Thanks for stepping out of your comfort zone to be the first to make a video explaining Yuketen's origin and other related brands. You should have had some of that Pollack visible for us! My favorite is Monet. Been getting into Nicholas Roerich lately, too. The story and mystical essence of his paintings make you wonder if he was actually there or imagined his painting.
I much prefer the fit and feel of yuketen over visvim. The visvim grizzlies i own dont feel like a moccasin in the same way yuketen maine guide db do. At the end of the day, i would say visvim is really a fashion brand first. Their materials are amazing, the craftmanship is high, but it is just not constructed in a way that it can really last.
Interesting! I actually ended up selling these and buying the ICT Visvim Grizzlies... I must say I feel the exact opposite. The Grizzlies are far more comfy than these Yuketens are at least for my feet. I've even done five mile hikes in them and they've held up amazing. I think it is really just an aesthetic thing. There's nothing wrong with the quality of mainline Yuketens, but I really can't say anything negative about Visvim's quality either. I find this thing in the repro community where people see hype around Visvim and place some sort of hypebeast prejudice against it and automatically say that it's worse than true repro brands. I think it's just a question of if you prefer the updated silhouettes Visvim provides, or do you want to look like a classic 20th century silhouette.
Thanks for all the information on these boots and the history of the company. I bought a pair similar to this for about 150 dollars off of a japanese auction site brand new and I am super excited for them to come in
I had the same problem with my Giffords and had to move mine on. The waist was too small even in a 5, but the wash is amazing. They are a great pair. Hope you find them eventually!
I sold my fw21 spot drop iris jkt bc I need a size down in it. My ss20 one fits me perfectly and I really appreciate how unique the mud dye effect is on it, but I feel there are just better pieces for the price it's worth that match my style better. haven't sold it yet though; i definitely find myself going back and forth on it. thanks for watching!
