As a Canadian, vacationing in Mexico, Dominican Republic and Cuba have the most budget All-inclusive resorts, and very popular vacationing during winter months. If you get a chance go to one in Cuba from Mexico. In Cuba, when you check-in apart from what you received in your room, you will also get a Cigar and bottle of Rum. I would recommend going to Varadero.
Agree go there. Cuba is outstanding. Culture and the beaches are incredible. Food may not be the best but as long as your aware it’s all good. The Melia Buenavista is hands down the best in Cuba. But unfortunately it is adults only and no partying. I have been all over the world. 🏖
I love your attitude! I'm going on my first all inclusive trip to cancun and have been watching various videos and so many people complain about the smallest things. You explained everything without sounding like entitled Karen's. Refreshing to my ears!
So many times, people seem to look for things to complain about, and that just sets the tone, and they ruin their own vacations. Wedding parties are the worst for this. In Mexico, my experience has always been a small disappointment is offset by ten pleasant surprises. Don't dwell on small negatives, enjoy yourself.
Generally, with a seven night stay, you get three dinners in the ala carte restaurants, which always require reservations. Other nights you eat in the buffets which don't require reservations. You don't get to just walk into all five restaurants in one night and expect to be seated. The ala cartes are limited more so by limitations of staff than limitations of space ("They looked pretty empty ").
Nice guys! We’ve stayed next door at the Adults Only sister hotel Platinum Yucatan Princess. Enjoyed our stay there. They key to drinking at some of these resorts is shots and beer..I find the mixed drinks don’t do much for ya. Cheers
I go to the most budget hotels in Cancun and always have a blast. Save my travel miles and I can take my gf and myself for 250.00 each all inclusive flights included.
Stayed there in 2019 just before the pandemic and I loved it, all those cats, coatis, deer on the resort roaming around, food was pretty good (just got back from cancun -riu cancun - food was really not good), people were friendly and all those pools were nice to chill at. I'm suprised this was the most affordable one, back then this was mid/upper with 4.5/5 star rating.
That place looks absolutely amazing. The wildlife are great too. You are so well disciplined to go to bed early yeah maybe water down the drinks to save costs? Great deal not having to leave until 6.00pm
I exchanged my time share for one in Riviera Maya for my 70th birthday and had just the best time. It was a wonderful resort and much calmer that your place-at least during the day-which is exactly what I wanted. The food and drink were exxcellent and the staff was out of this world. Those Coati's were one of my favorite things about that area. What I did NOT like was all the seaweed on the shore and in the water. I didn't go in the sea once because of the fight with the kelp to get out to swim and I love swimming in the ocean so that was the only downside. BUT, I live in San Diego about 4 miles from the ocean so not a big deal.
Funny thing about those coatis. If you record them walking from a distance then play it back in reverse they look like little brontosaurus’s walking around.
Not sure if you're still in the area, but if you haven't tried the Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya, you're missing out on one of the very best all-inclusive, adults only (not a swinger resort) with a similar vibe to this place but much fewer rooms and a much bigger pool and beach. Would love to hear your review and I don't think you'd be disappointed.
This was such a great video!!! 🎉 Hate it rained on y’all at the beginning but you made the most of it! Dying at the Chris Hemsworth 🤣💀👍🏼 I would’ve made Matt do the same for me! Haha now wishing we were back in Playa Del Carmen drinking with y’all! 🤣👌🏼
I was a travel agent for 6 years and have toured this & 100 other hotels in Mexico. Yes, this is a great hotel for the money, plus it's very close to Playa del Carmen, my favorite little town. Those are Cotimundis freely roaming the area. I always recommend making reservations at ALL the specialty restaurants offered
Great video! When i stay at hotels I always splurge for two nights so i have one whole day where im not checking in or out, even tho it’s double, it just makes the splurge more worth it for that complete day of relaxation ✨
I've stayed at this hotel. They have a separate section for children that is quite good for little ones. As far as the food goes, you get what you pay for. It's below average. You can pay for some food upgrades that are quite good. Other than the food, it's a really good value. The staff was awesome, my kids love the shows. Awesome kids club!. The room is very nice. Cool bunk beds for kids. Just have zero expectations as far as the food goes and you'll love this place. By the way, my wife got s***-faced on the drink so they do have some alcohol.
We were there the second week of September and I miss it dearly! Everyone was super kind and friendly. Amazing view and hotels not to mention the performers! Despite going on a “hurricane season”, our week was perfect! It did rain heavy on a few nights in the early mornings but after 6AM, it stopped. It gave us enough time to do excursions in the afternoon. Only downsize is that it’s super humid but don’t let that stop you!
September rains a lot in the Riviera Maya plus there are almost no tourist (back to school etc) so most if not all of the resorts are at less than 25% capacity. $150 per two is about right, considering the season. I've been traveling to the Riviera Maya for the past 25 years and know the region extremely well, and quite frankly will not recommend to go in September.
Oh I ❤You guys! So excited the algorithm finally showed u on my feed!! Rain rain Geauw AWAY! U cracked me and my family up when you said that you had been traveling thru the rainy season in Bali and now it’s raining here. 3pm and everybody is Sh!tfaced. Lmbo😂😅🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hi there, I have heard people say that the drinks seem watered down, Then since its included ask for a shot from the same bottle that the bartender is making your cocktail from, you should be able to tell with a shot of, tequila when they make a margarita or a shot of whiskey for a whiskey and coke and so on. LOL but be careful you may become one of those drunk people for others to watch hahaha. Great video, and as always Stay Safe
This is a nice fun video! I would surely book it. Seems very reasonable. I will be going to an all inclusive resort in Aruba this coming week. Yes, you most probably had watered down drinks. Were the drinks prepared in a big pitcher? Those type of drinks are typically watered down. What I am going to do is to drink mostly beer. Beer in a bottle cannot be watered down, lol. Yes, I will have the occasional tropical drink in the pool, but beer will surely be in the mix.
Your music choices in every video are inspiring. Think thats a reason for your success. Its just a feel good experience all around. Thanks! Side note. Wouldnt mind some BTS content thru your instagram and reels. Would have loved to see some drunk people watching. Lol.
I've been following your travel V-logs. Nice content. Question: Out of all of the tropical locations where would you two spend a month and why? Peace and Blessing
Ahhh... so fun seeing u both there in the area we lived. The resort was behind our Selva Mar village. Ya'll look great, Lloyd & Mandy. That area really seems to agree with u. It sure made me miss it seeing u in this. AND the COATIS!! Oh my! I sure have stories to tell of those creatures. Wow they were really abundant on those grounds. They are kind of Racoonish. Actually they also can be found in the southwestern states of Texas and Arizona from what i have read. But, never knew of them until living in that area of the jungle. Very beautiful and enjoyable video. Thank u both for sharing ur enjoyment.
I wanted to ask did the beach access have bathrooms available right on the beach? And did it have a drink bar or food right on the beach? ☺️ I’ve stated at Iberostar’s Paraiso Maya in July so just wanting to compare for future reference. Thanks 😊
If u go to Cabo Mexico please please remember that 90 percent of the alcohol is watered down. They actually hv to do it that way if they didn't it wld be a bunch of people laying around the resort.
Just ran into ur channel... First time watching your video and I Love it!!! Thanks so much for sharing this with us!!🙌 Really LOVED your vibe and how positive you both stayed despite the rain!!👌👌 My kind of people for sure!!!👏💓. Quick question .. you mentioned "low season"...which month were you there? ***NEVERMIND!!! 🤭Just answered my own question by clicking on the info👌Thanks!🙌✌️
After working in a couple all inclusive resorts there are few metrics of comparison I use. How good is the food, how often do you have access to free food, what costs extra and quality of entertainment options. Looks like you two found a good one.
It sounds like a good first all inclusive resort experience. I would say that many people probably ask for their drinks to be stronger or have their own liquor to add...speaking from experience :) We stayed at Excellence All Inclusive Adults Only in Punta Cana, DR and it by far has better food and drinks. I believe there are Excellence resorts in Mexico. But I'm sure it was more than $150/night. Not by much, but definitely more and yes you get what you pay for.
I was at the Grand Riviera Princess in December for 2 weeks last December. It was great. You can also access the Riveria Princess next door for free. Great good, great gym, friendly staff. Nice beach 🙂
Hey guys! New sub here!! Great stuff, so natural and just what I wanted to see, Gonna start ratholing money to go!! 🤪🤣😂 can’t wait to see more from y’all!
@@lehebronfarr1694 no no rat holing, like tucking it away in a hole a rat chewed in the mattress or somewhere so no one can find it, old coffee cans suffice as well, I think it’s still considering ratholing, I’ve used it since I heard Gus say it in lonesome dove when I was young! 🥰🥰
There are also adults only inclusive resorts. But, I think the first time visting I would want to go as a family and then maybe if we like the area and have a good vacation, my wife and I would go back and stay at an adults only resort.
Hey folks, have been following your adventures for a while and have just started my own slow travel journey this week in Playa. Apologies if this has been asked a million times but do you guys do meetups with fellow travelers/subscribers? Would be happy to buy you both a beer or hopefully not watered-down cocktail (which means not on 5th ave.)
Coatimundi (or any local slang of the name),is the animal. Watch out for their claws as they will rip your hand off if they think you are holding food. The ones I saw n Guatemala were huge.
Tip: Make a reservation at ALL of the restaurants when you first arrive. This way you can just cancel the reservation you don’t want. Also order your alcohol on the side. Get a shot of vodka or tequila, check it out and add it to your drink yourself if you are sus of the alcohol.
I have witnessed vacationing in Mexico that the tourist spots have mostly 40% proof alcohol not the 80% proof that the states and maybe down under are accustom to.😊 Loved the video, very helpful. New subscriber.
It was nice but one of the towels was a different shade of white, and the stuff sometimes didn’t feel like they were happy to serve me 24hrs everything I wanted… but for the price still ok, I guess…
Dont know if you made your research before booking. We went there in 2009. It was one of the most expensive. Then in 2010, an explosion tore the lobby due to gas and poor maintenance. 7 people died and 17 injured. Since then, the prices went down because of bad publicity
OMG OMG I can't believe you didn't go get a selfie with Hemsy!!! Are u serious?!!! 😲❤❤❤❤ you send Lloyd over to ask with his Aussie accent; yeah mate can the missus have a photo?? He'd love it!!!
