When you think of TX2K15, you think of INSANE Cars. This Twin Turbo Corvette is nothing short of that ladies and gents. Now sit back buckle your seat belts and put on some pampers! Because this is going to be one hell of a ride!
Imagine having a 1400hp car. Now imagine rolling up to someone with 1000 more horsepower than you have....with a plastic bag flapping from their fender. Tell us how you feel?
That's one of those moments when your quiet for the rest of the night, and go back home sitting up in your bed staring at your tv then saying, "Holy crap I almost died tonight." lol
I had that kind of night a week ago. I was screaming down an entrance ramp on my bike when a pack of deer ran out in front of me. The deer is dead and my bike is a mess, but I didn't have a scratch on me (just a few bruises) and I just sat there all night thinking "I should be dead..."
The second that thing started swerving I swear I clenched my ass cheeks so hard any shit hanging around was instantly crushed into Tiffany-grade diamonds.
"A true hot rodder is not happy until he has built a car so hairy and so violent, that the very act of pressing the gas all but ensures his death." I think these guys are almost there!
eh they already are did you see how quick they snapped the rear loose even at like ~65mph? gnarly car but unless they’re REAL lightfooted or rolling from 150 it’s a turbo coffin
Wow! I must say. ..This is scary, I mean that much power and torque on the street, spinning the tires at 130mph, braking tge rear end loose like that...that's like a catastrophic failure waiting to happen, that car is a drag car and harnessing that type of power thru the rear wheels on a surface that wasn't prep for that can be horrific.
@@vroomsandboomstbf its way more dangerous even if there was perfect traction than having something reasonable. Why would u even feel need to drive this kind of car on the streets lol. 1000hp is more than enough and much safer.
I really want to know what the purpose is also. The only thing I can think is that it was some sort of external filter or catcher for a side (off-road) exhaust, but that doesn't seem right. :/
Just seems like a lot of power you can't actually use through 4 small patches of rubber connecting you to the ground. Still very impressive you can make that kind of power
That moment wasn't that crazy... Lucky Vette driver that the GTR driver knew you'd spin he let off right when he seen smoke. The rest was up to the driver and he did a good recovery on that. Be safe guys!
I don't think most people realise how insane that recovery was.... WOW. Most people would have over corrected that and would have ended up as a splatter on the windscreen.
What could you do to get something like this to hook? A 4-link? R-compound slicks? a VHT dispenser in the wheel wells? Some sort of alien traction control?
Eric Wilson This isn't necessarily the answer either. You start putting to much grip on this thing and you are just going to backflip the thing. You need the meat and then some. I would suggest a torque converter tuned per gear. It's just slightly on the ignorant side to be putting ..... I don't know what do you think 1500+ lbs of torque on the road in 1st gear, makes no sense. Wide tires, limit the torque just prior to spinning in every gear and that is the absolute MAX traction you can get in this car AND you will be ripping apart pretty much everything on the road with the exception of maybe a tuned Bugatti Veyron where some Saudi has put another million into the engine on top of the cost of the car.
I almost never complain about these kinds of videos, I watch plenty of them and love 'em. But when you get to a point where you can't safely put the power down without almost losing it, don't take it on the highway. As these cars are making more and more horsepower, you gotta leave it on the track. 1500hp should be the limit for a street car, I think.
That sideways traction lost under load was how I put my Last Lingenfelter snake charmer corvette into a concrete overpass at 90 mph, stomping the throttle jsit like that went sideways , over correct and it was history from there, had to be cut out of the car by fire crews and still have back problems to this day because of it: too much power in a crazy light car is sketchy at best but man its a fun up till that point! Lol
Bro that’s one of the times where you think, “so this is how I go out?” Then when you go home you lay down watch a movie and think about how you almost died.
Wow that thing is crazy and he almost spun outta control. Only a short matter of time before that corvette is on the flat deck, what's left of it anyway
+kiddt1999 thats not justins its jim brantoni the car was put together at D3 and justin "tuned" it or something like that ive that thing in person its a monster and its for sale too
this is some shit like out of the original fast and the furious when toretto talks about his dad's charger " car scares the shit out of me " something along those lines
LMAO i loved the labored breathing part in slo mo.....ive lost track how many times ive done that.Loved the car! keep pushing the limits and dont listen to the ball-less manginas
Holy cow, I guess everything really is bigger in Texas, those turbos are HUGE! They have to be 94mm at leased, I bet it would take a 50 hp shot of nitrous just to spool them up coming off them line. Me personally I would want AWD if I was to run a 2,400hp engine, two wheels are always going to have trouble putting down that kind of power on street tires, something like that would only be functional on aired down drag slicks.
My supercharged vet is putting out 680 horses to the rear wheels and under acceleration she breaks loose easily. It’s pretty scary but what I saw in your video makes my heart stop.
Haha that's a crazy amount of power that's starting to get to the line of dangerous lol like way past the line of sketchy bout 600hp ago lol. but still is amazing💦💦😤
I don't usually comment. I do have a zl1 that has some work from hennessey and has about 980 to rear wheels. This thing is freaking off the wall certified sick. Most people have no idea. Wow.
It's a track car messing on the streets.. So no, not pointless. To those who disagree explain to me why they have a parachute and who the fuck has a "road car" that they dropped several hundreds of thousands of dollars into just to be the fastest on the on ramp? no you fucking knobs it's meant to be a low number straight line car on a track. You guys are complete idiots. the whole event itself (TX2K15) starts on a track. This is just common sense to know a 2400hp corvette isn't idea to daily drive and for damn sure isn't taking corners.
+Sergio Pinto How is it not a street/track car? I know of a 6 second street legal Viper that pumps out 3200+ hp and races in the 1/4 mile outlaw class every year at my local track. If anything, this Vette is barely a street car.
