240708 Gloomy Day by the River 

It was the only morning that I had the chance to go a photowalk. Unfortunately, the weather was overcast, threatening to rain. It was the remnant from last night's heavy downpour.
Parking at Dataran Merdeka, I slowly made my way towards MAKAN.BUZZ. Little did I know that the cafe was closed today. Even the gallery was not yet opened. None of the usual suspected were there, but there were plenty of tourists.
I mingled about with the OSMO Pocket 3, curious to see up close the upgrade made to Medan Pasar (Market Square). It was empty prior to the recent closure, and now the central area were paved and lined with trees. The fountain remains, so were the swings, although they were now located more centrally.
The next phase of the rejuvenation appears to be on the surrounding shoplifts. Most were already empty and I reckon that they would rearing down the interior while retaining the facade. It was mainly sundry shops there before. Hopefully there would now be cafe and other urban hubs. I guess we would have to wait and watch.
I circled back to River of Life before making my way back to Dataran Merdeka where I parked my care. Now, the parking machines were broken. We were back to paying cash on exit at a flat rate of RM5. This place was slowly crumbling down! Such a shame!
I was off to have lunch at Lot 10 after that.
