Don't worry I still use an iPod touch as wel , when I work out , actually still have my little iPod shuffle. It's been threw the washer n dryer 3 times an still work like brand new
You know iv had my eyes on this sub and every review video I see makes it sound like crap. Yours on the other hand makes it sound so much better. Thank you
Nice, I'm running just one of these in my stock (metal) sub location behind my driver seat. I have to lean the seat all the way back to keep it from rattling lmfao. Then I'll be running two when I get a proper box, can't wait.
JL stuff is worth every penny, you might be able to get other subs that offer a higher rms etc for the same price, but JL hit deep and clean and you can pound them for years and they just carry on working, excellent subs.
W0 models are their cheap subwoofers. I remember years ago when they came out with the W0 series, and they have always told you on their site what all the models mean. Like the W7 is their top of the line, the W6 is their other top of the line, but slightly cheaper than the W7 series. And they tell you that on their site, plus tell you they are made in America with quality American parts. What makes it funny is that literally beside every model in the information section it would say made in America and give information about the series, and beside the W0 all it said was not made in America. Not sure if it still says that, but years ago it did. So I am guessing JL makes all of their subwoofers here in America, except for the W0 series, and they are made by somebody else and just has a JL logo slapped on it.
Your making me feel like I over did my sound system in my s14, I have one sundown x12 in a box that barley fits in the trunk but it bumps real well and I'm under powered only 1200 watts when the sub can go up to 3k watts haha
Looks good. Run it by a stereo shop and have them set the gain for you on your amp. Not sure what they charge or maybe someone in your area has the tools. Awesome video! Keep it up!
+Sub Experiment Thanks a lot! Ive read how to set the gain using the dial on the amp. Is there a different way of setting the gain using tools? Thanks!
One_Clean _s13 no, it's just adjusting the knobs. I have 2 10 inch w0v3-4"s in a 04 Taurus. It's enough to get a good sound but not too much. What kind of amp are you running? That's a sweet 240 btw.
One_Clean _s13 You have to turn the gain all the way up till it’s on the right side so now you just back it off just a tad and you can play it as loud you want
Awesome! So excited to get this installed now. Do you have a spotify playlist of the music you listen to, it sounds really good and demonstrates the sub really well.
Damn man love your videos keep going.. Ive been looking for a 240 for 1.5 half now. Now i started working and can hopefully save up for one.. I make 9.50 an hour hopefully it will be enough yo afford one
I ran 2 10s in my car. Took them out and gave them too my little for his Honda. My car hasn't been on the road in 6 months. But I'll be dropping in a new motor and 5 speed swapping it this weekend. Should have a video of that up soon.
nice set up .. need more speakers and bigger subwoofer :D.. I got my rb20 running but I might have to buy new chassis harness ... past owner cut some off ... no lights working
Tune up the amp figure out what frequency your box is tuned too and then set your amp to the freq. get a bigger amp I can tell its not pushing that sub nearly as hard as it can go. try putting a alpine 500 watt amp on it at 4 ohms it will push that sub wayyy harder. also the sub was just moving at the freequency of your camerea thats why it wasn't picking up the motion :D. I know a shit ton about stereo equipment. BTW that Atrend box is top notch got one on my type R sounds cleann!!! I'm guessing it's tuned to 32-40 Hz try messing with the Hz knob on your amp and just find the sweet spot.
+Eric Scheller Nope, I figured since my setup is kinda small that the amp draw shouldnt effect the car much. I havent noticed my lights dimming or anything.
