Finally got to take the car out for a drive! It had a few problems but we got it sorted out for the most part.

get a hallman boost controller! glad to see it running good man, the stalling is normal, i would just look in to either switching to blow thru maf or get standalone and go map! i got a vid on my channel going blow thru maf if ur interested with that, simply fix! but great work homie!

Yea I was thinking blow thru. I want it running perfect! Did switching it cause any problems with the tune? Did you talk to Martin at all about it? Thanks!

BuiltLikeThis yea it made my tune run even more rich, but im still driving it around and it still has power, just had to bump my fuel pressure down to compensate for the richness, and yea i messaged martin and he says alot of people do it to get rid of the stalling issue. best budget fix in my eyes haha

Your maf reads the air that's going into your engine and if you have a blow off valve after your maf your dumping air into atmosphere that was measured by your maf to go into the engine 👍

Great job! Way to stick with it and get it running smooth. I had stalling issues to with that motor. As soon as I put on the better air filter, I leaned way out. So, "normal" in the sense that we all cross that bridge... Anyways, If anything ever happens to to it, I say forge the guts and try again. Had a friend who built an RB25 after blowing the KA. He said he missed the KA just for the shear torque and weight difference. Not to mention the power steering! Keep it up!

Nice build! Im on my second KA-T build! Just a warning, I used to live up on that mountain and those mountain roads have claimed many drift cars over the years! Good luck!

dude my s14 ka-t was doing the stalling Thing as well and it turned out it was because my mass airflow sensor was too close to the turbo it has to be about a minimum of 12 to 16 inches away from the turbo that fix the stalling problem immediately for me at least

ya thats what I found it to be. It made it run ALOT smoother, but it still stalls if I go from WOT to clutch in. Not sure if its still too close to the turbo but its as far away as i can get it. Ill figure something out.

Hopefully you've already figured this out, but if you're hitting too much boost, you need a softer WGA spring. If you can't adjust the spring you can port the o2 housing.

Have you considered the honey comb intake? I don't know what it's called but have you ever considered it like would the honey comb intake be better then the intake your already using ?

I see you keep having all these overboost problems with the wastegate, I feel like the solution to that would be to put a manual boost controller in and dial it down that way. Would that not have fixed it?

HardcoreScreamer0090 no. A boost controller can only increase boost by restricting the pressure on the wategate. Not lower jt.

I ordered a vibrant one I think from lordco.. Maybe online.. One of the newer ones thats all metal not the old plastic ones. Works well

Excellent stuff!! I just watched all your videos back to back. I am curious as to what clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel you are using. With more power you will need that extra clamping force. I just forget if you upgraded during the 5 speed swap

XTD stage 2 with lightweight flywheel! Its been thru some abuse though im not sure if it will hold the power or how long it will last. Kind of excited to try something else once it goes. Something with more clamping force like you say.

your internals are stock? whats the size of your injector? do i need to reprogram the ecu if I install a turbo?

Fernando Lopez If you don't properly tune the car to inject more fuel it will run lean when hitting boost. Then your engine goes bye bye :) TheCarPassionChannel has good videos on tuning but he works on miatas. Still the same principles though.

came with the glow shift gauges. yea it fit pretty good once i got everything stuffed behind it. and will do!
