That through-deck Shuttlebay idea makes the most absolute logical sense on a Space-born Aircraft Carrier. And the use of the underside of the secondary hull for more traditional shuttles also makes sense. The space is there, so why not use it? My question is if Engineering is located behind the Impulse Engines like in the Gene Roddenberry approved schematics, or if it's above the hangars.

I'm starting to think the saucer really is the better spot to mount the navigational deflector, freeing up space for a forward shuttlebay (or two lol)

Spend as much time as you want in the Confederation timeline. I think the Conquest class is your best work, though your others are right there. Leaving the deflector in the saucer, draws a direct line from the NX lineage. Puting a through-deck flight deck below the shuttle bay, is such a Confederation design. You're on a roll here, lets see where it goes.

Awesome job on the custom design man! I must say I really dig it a lot. I love how it's got the SNW Enterprise look to it but at the same time adding your own elements. Well putting the deflector on the actual front of the ship, that being the saucer is much smarter because the saucer on Federation ships would interfere with the deflector really, so this is a much smarter design with the Conquest Class and Picards World Razor.

Yes I'd love to see a story perhaps even a parallel story on Kirk's 5 year mission perhaps you could do a short story set in 3 Series that cover the original series three seasons but do a parallel to it for the confederation that would be very interesting and fun I'd even be willing to help you write it

Honestly, I'd like to see more of the Confederacy of Earth in future Star Trek series. Imagine an invasion of them in the main reality, honestly I find them much more interesting than the Terran empire.

I like the bit of the NX Class mixed in. But I do wonder what is the primary differences between Star Fleet and the Confederation? Like more guns is a given, but I got the feeling that they are more like glass cannons; able to dish out lots of damage, but due to their human only stance they never really acquired properly updated shield tech that the Vulcan's/Andorians supplied to Star Fleet and as a result had to dump that unused power into guns as necessity counter. They also seem to have extra focus on hanger bays, further to compensate their lack-luster defenses.

Nacelles should be raked farther back; the bussard scoops are too close to the primary hull.

How about the Confederation's version of the NX01?

I think you should have increased the size of the secondary case, it is a bit out of proportion in my personal opinion.

I have a feeling that Confederation technology was not superior to Federation technology at least up until their TNG era. By that point they had the technology of other races in the quadrant they acquired by conquest. Although that access to technology was likely limited via how that conquest was done. As Confed seemed more trigger happy in destroying civilizations more than even the Empire. Technically that means that even the Terran Empire might have been technologically superior to Confed for a time. As even the Empire incorporated races that joined them willingly or unwillingly and that technology was shared if a little bit at gunpoint, better tech when the ones that created it can still create it.

Waiting on Confederation Ambassador class, and a retelling of The Battle of Narendra from RNG episode, "Yesterday's Enterprise."
