Great video. I’m starting to like 24 better than 28. I have the samyang 24mm f2.8 and the field of view is perfect in my opinion for street or if you travel somewhere on holiday. Which manual lens were you shooting on?
Hey, hi Xhynet! thanks for your comment. During this last session, I was using a Vivitar 24 mm F2.8 vintage lens. Manual focus, very lightweight, less scary than ever .. so much fun. This lens sometimes makes a vignette effect, quite singular to me since I've never seen something before 🤨 Samyang 24 mm F2.8 great lens man! Cheap and efficient.
@@xhynetuseinovski Yes, I'd say that is due to my perfect "handling" of manual focus .. But it's not 😂 I kept my aperture to over 9 and I added some sharpness in post-production. But the quality of this old lens is very high, also it is well maintained cause the photographer I bought it from was so diligent in it. Unfortunately, I am not. Anyway, I am about to release a review video for this specific lens.
@@gabrielesagone io valuterei se c'è bisogno di autofocus performante e alta luminosità, in base al tipo di video che vuoi creare. Prediligerei un buon usato e valuterei Samyang o nel caso anche una lente vintage (come quella che mostro nel video) 📸
Welcome back, Gianluca! Five months too long between regular posts. Hope you are well. Quality video, music choice and pacing. Text overlays, a plus - “bad ass” joke, too😊. Another advantage to the wider lens for street photography is greater depth of field, so as to better compose “layered” photos, and compensate for slight focus miss shots. Agree? IMO, the “best” focal length is what matches your photographic field of “attention”. Some prefer a more narrow field, some wider. I don’t get your response to the question about what lens you were using - in the vid we see an adapted Nikon (film) lens mounted on your Sony. So, no EXIF data and manual focus and exposure. You really deserve more subs. To increase your potential viewers/subs, I suggest adding one or more hashtags (like “#streetphotography” and “#photographingItaly” in the description. Numbering images would also help viewers comment. Ciao!
Hey there, yes 5 months is definitely too long. I'll try to post more frequently! Thanks for your appreciation! I agree with the greater depth of field, something I have been exploring during the last months. It also adds complexity to the process of composing your images. @@gianlucairaggi I believe YT is less likely to include vids in feeds to viewers (potential subs) for channels that post infrequently - the algorithm thing. Also, subs might be tempted to “unsub” as part of YT “housekeeping” if a channel appears dormant. You look very much alive, so I look forward to the lens vid.👍
