Okay so fun story , in the middle of the song where it goes " can you feel the love tonight? You needn't look to far , stealing through the nights uncertainty love is where we are " our directors made it so me ( im rafiki) sings it and blesses the relationship between Nala and simba , but it's a bit awkward cause I'm friends with the girl who's Nala, but the person who plays simba , is my boyfriend , so you can see how that was weird
I did my first Lion King Play just 2 weeks ago and it went great. At first Simba and Nala weren't friends and at the end they ended up dating. Great story.
So I'm Simba in my show, and I'm not even remotely friends with the girl playing Nala. I LOVE this song SO MUCH though, Imma pour my entire heart into it.
I’m soooo lucky that I’m simba and my cousins nana the only problem is when she pins me she looks like an angry hamster and I can’t stop laughing. 😂 . Good luck with your production!
You don't even understand how hard it is to put on the Lion King whilst in a giant pandemic when it's a love story and the people (Simba and Nala) in love can't even get within 6 feet of each other😂
@Jose Guillen Yeah totally! First off, you already got Simba which means you have at least SOME talent. Try to get into character before singing/rehearsing because that always makes it sound more realistic. For higher notes, gradually make your way up to them in your head voice/falsetto until you can hit them with a mixed or chest voice. Low notes, gradually get lower making sure to lower your chin for those extra low notes. Work on pronunciation, tempo, volume, and good tone. Warm up with simple exercises before you sing, and make sure not to drink fizzy or dairy based drinks a ton. The best thing to drink (especially for a sore throat) is warm tea with lemon and honey. If you put all of those tips together along with some hard work and practice, you will to fabulously! Hope this helps!!!!
@@dearleahhansen2489 thank you so much! Sorry for the late reply I didn’t see the notification till now but I’ll definitely take these tips because I’m kind of nervous I’ll mess up on singing😅
I’m Timon in this scene and I love my role. I get to be completely passive aggressive for more than half the song. As in, I stand there in the middle of the dancers just looking grumpy. Then around 75% of the way through, I join in. Like if you watch a show because you hear it’s bad but you end up getting emotionally invested. And then all the dancers rage when Simba and Nala just barely fail to hold hands.
I was expecting a person playing Simba or Nala to comment being like, “Oh my gosh! This scene was so awkward!” But no! That’s ok. But if anyone watching this is Simba or Nala, is this scene awkward?
Good point, just wondering, because I think it’s always awkward for children’s theatre when your character like a character played by someone you only like platonically. The last musical did was AristoCats, and I was Duchess, and the guy playing O’Malley liked me, but I didn’t like him, and it was awkward doing the ‘flirty’ scene with him. I feel like this scene would be like that.
Nala : He’s holding back He’s hiding But what I can’t decide Why won’t he be the King I know he is The king I see inside And if he feels the love tonight Like the way I do Just to be with you
I’m a girl running for scar and my audition is today so hopefully I get the part 🤞🏾 I uhh forgot to edit this last week but um... I didn’t get the part 😭😭😭 but it’s ok cuz I got one of the best parts which is... the AUDIENCE!!!!
I am too but my brother isn’t I have the worst solo ( a lioness ) ima girl btw and my teacher said that we get to sing a loud part.. ( not compared to any of the things we do..)
Lmao . Im simba and the girl who is nala is way taller than me also....My squeaky little girl wont cut it for a big boi voice Edit 1/7/2023 my comments are... 💀💀💀 but anyways I go to acting school now so that's fun
I got casted as Simba in my middle school play I am very nervous this will be my first musical and I am very excited for this song even tho it might be awkward because the girl who plays Nala is someone who I can’t look at without laughing
so i played nala and this song was so awkward, but we ended up being pretty good friends and in the end i loved being in the show. still love nala’s part in this song !!
I’m Simba and i probably got chosen becuase my deep voice, but it has some backfires… when sing “ so many things to tell her” my voice has to go down so much to just say “her” so silly me🧸
I’m auditioning on Thursday and have been using this track to practice the audition song we were given! Eek I’m so nervous even though I’ve been doing theatre since I was about 5
my sister and i are going to use this song for an audion and im timon and simba and shes nala and pumba and before any of yall say anthing we wanted a slow and easy song
i did this show and the guy that played simba liked me A LOT so i didn’t really want to touch him lmaooo. then the director was like “pretend u love each other” and he WASNT DOING IT and i was trying my best hahah. then the director was like “IF YALL DONT ACT LIKE YOU LOVE EACHOTHER IM GOING TO MAKE YOU KISS” then he started acting like it lmaooo. he was trying to make it seem like he didn’t like me but literally everyone knew he did
My friend is Nala and when we were doing the run threw she was embarrassed atleast Simba is not our ENEMYYY I’m a small part in the show but I don’t really care
