Emotion, feeling, and sensation words are very important for young children to learn, so that they begin developing social-emotional skills and better communicate how they are feeling.

Emotion/feeling words:

Quantitative words to pair with emotions:

Sensation words:
hot, cold, sit, ok, fine, hungry, thirsty, full

Great that you started so young! 6 months is a wonderful age to introduce signs.

@@LanguageLiftoff haha!! To all that doubt the efficacy, 2 years later and she still remembers the signs. They were especially useful when she couldn't talk. I think ASL should be taught in tandem in all American classes!

Yeah you can teach it to any baby

You can teach ASL/signs to typically-developing babies! It supports language development in typical children, not just children who have hearing impairments.
