Part 2 of the wildly overgrown cemetery we explored and documented. This part 2 is by far my favorite of the 2 videos of this cemetery. Piecing back together that broken stone was pretty amazing. My grandmother is buried on private property in Wilkes Co. NC but the location doesn't come up on find a grave. There are no relatives there to ask. These forgotten graves are so sad.
Forgotten cemetery..so sad 無縁仏 生きた証が吹き込まれる感じがして毎回見ています I can’t speak English so l don’t know what you say but l know what you want to say something little bit Sorry From Japan ジャパン
Robert God bless you guys for clearing the debris off those graves bless you for piecing those stones together. Thanks for honoring these people by reading their names 🙏 ❤
Robert, Cody and all your friends are just To Cool! It's really awesome that you not only Locate these lost cemeteries, but bring those lost to time back to the present.... Thanks Guy's...👍🏆
Sarah would of been forgotten if you had not done what you did Same with all the others. So sad to see it like this but atleast now they not forgotten Great video
You 2 work great together. The stones seem like there getting deeper. Thank goodness you guys have noses like a blood hounds. I think you need to write a history book of all you amazing adventures. Very satisfying work indeed. 🚙🔎🔦
I feel so sorry for that last man, Thomas J. Alexander. He lost his wife and new born daughter with in two months of each other. The wife died in May 1892, a month after the daughter was born and then the daughter died two months later, in July 1892 at the age of 3 months old.
The wife most likely died from puerperal fever, also known as child bed fever caused by unhygienic delivery......the baby would have been wet nursed.....but didn’t thrive........women and children had t tough in those days
Thanks guys for working so hard on these forgotten graves. Now more than ever, I'm convinced for myself, cremation is the answer. From ashes to ashes. It's just so sad to see all these forgotten people out in the woods.
I'm awestruck with the beauty of those old markers. Even that really polished one. My word. The quotes these dear people put on these long forgotten markers. Thank you for everything you do. I have family buried back in the woods on someone else's property in Gillsville Georgia. I wonder if I'll ever make it by there again.
@@annelauber3016 Most of these are Christian burials. As for evil spirits, trust me, these days they are everywhere, and likely you will find them at your neighbors before you will find them in that cemetery. But if you walk in the Lord and ask him to take care of binding up the evil, then you do not walk in fear. Christ goes before me, stands behind me, and surrounds me to protect me. He does that for all who believe. I know this for a fact as I have crazy neighbors who practice voodoo and there are also Satanist. I do not walk in fear for I have a powerful God and Savior, and they know this. It is God who protects us, and God who receives all the thanks and praise. Be wise, but don’t walk in fear. Take care.
In watching You two work I would like to make a suggestion to you. A battery powered leaf blower would be a tremendous help to you. You can blow leav and debris off of this Graves much faster and with less effort stress to you.
Oh Robert that was just fantastic. Looked like tree may have smashed that grave up what you did piecing it together was just fantastic. Just love the care and attention you pay to all these graves. Just love it. Thank you so much for taking me along. Please stay safe
Thank you gentlemen for documenting that cemetery . I would hope someone would know about that cemetery from the family but it doesn’t look that way at all.
31st Infantry, Company H "Mountain Tigers" - Binns, Joseph D.-Private May 16, 1862. Discharged, on account of rheumatism and gastric intestine disease, at Farm- ville, Va. Sept. 21, 1863. (Born Aug. 20, 1831.) He married Narcissa Missouri Cox daughter of Jesse Cox.
You have had your work cut out for you in this cemetary. What an amazing effort by you all. This is going to be one of my favourite cemetaries. Can't thank you enough for your effort in reviving these. Sad forgotten graves. I don't think those that are buried there would concerned about its state as they appear to believe that they will be with their loved ones in heaven. Lynne Australia 🇦🇺🐨💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛. How many graves do you think are there.
There needs to be a national group that looks after old cemeteries with chapters in all the towns in the country. I bet there would be many retired people who would love to care for these old graveyards after you and those like you have found them. If you only went out there a few times a year it would be enough.
When you are saved by grace by faith you could also be Lutheran. Great video, thank you so much for doing this. God bless you all. You do worderful work.
God bless you men for this work you do. Taking changes with snakes, etc to unearth forgotten souls! At least forgotten on this earth.. but never forgotten by our Heavenly Father. Beautiful to see and hear the wording... yet sad because of neglect. But when not rich and famous with caretakers forever... that is what happens to these quiet souls. For we are God’s children and are in His eyes and arms forever ! Thanks Robert ! Your video have a way of humbling me every time we visit these cemeteries. For that...again...THANK YOU !
Robert, I love your videos, but I can´t look at the distress you give me anymore. Use at least a broom that will protect you from snakes and scorpions. Hugs from Brazil.
Just came across the guys taking their time to do this work God 🙏 bless you all for what you are doing but I do fine this so sad how these people that came before us have been forgotten like this until Sidestep came along 🙏
Hi Guys, my Mothers Sister married one Brian Cox here in the County of Buckinghamshire UK. The Government should make some kind of rule that keeps all graves in cemeteries and graveyards in a respectful condition. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx💖🤘
AWESOME job Robert. You guys are so good for doing this. I hope some of their descendants see this and visit the site. Thank you for what you do God bless you both
I love these history cemetery vids. Such respect for you guys to call out the names of these forgotten people. Thanks boys and greetz from the Netherlands🌷
God Bless you gentlemen! You are all so wonderful! Thank-you for all your care, dedication, and respect you are showing those at rest. You are wonderful and I wish many will learn from your service, ❤️
I wish more people did what you all are doing! I take pictures of headstones in my local cemeteries for FindAGrave.com for people doing genealogy who cannot make it to areas where they have family buried. How awesome that you read out the dates and other details for those who are searching for info. So many documents have been lost to time and the information you share is priceless! Thank you so much!
People in comments: Robert, you need brooms, towels, water, hiking boots, rifle, kitchen sink, dining table.... Robert: keys, check.... Okay it's time to head out 🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️ 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Part 2 was so interesting and we are so proud of you and your friends for cleaning off all those forgotten graves. It's sad the state does not send any one out to these sites and clean them all up. They could be putting a lot of people to work if they did. Can't wait to see Part 3
You guys are amazing 🤩. Keeping history alive and treating the deceased with respect at all times. I love your channel and videos. Especially the ones with the other Robert in! He’s a blast 😀
Great work guy's I love the old grave stones great history done a few myself in Scotland 1700s lots of Irish grave stones look forward to watching more.
I always wondered if you were worried about snakes or other critters when there’s an opening under the stones. Love what you do, it ads history to not just your area but, even to this person from up north here.
So happy that through you these people will always be remembered . I wonder why the care stopped. That symbol is what I thought was an eye but not as sure will have to check it out. Keep Safe ❤ Keep Well❤
being a genealogy researcher for the past 27 yrs, and knowing that though a LOT of my family is in parts of Tennessee and Kentucky, North and South Carolina, I know distant ancestors are also in Parts of Alabama and Georgia, so really appreciate all you do in documenting these. cause they are ALL important. Have been going over your videos and taking notes, since I have already seen a FEW that may be related to the Cantrell family lines or married into them:-)
Thank you for sharing another great video but yet sad to see a Resting Place of Loved Ones unkept! Take care , stay safe and healthy wherever your next adventure takes you guys ! Doing well here in Kansas .
That new camera was a fine investment! Great picture AND sound! Excellent cemetery explore! Lots of folks born in the early 1800s... considering those graves are almost 200 years old now, they were surprisingly easy to read. ...and I'm equally impressed that, throughout all that digging and brush/leaf removal, no snakes were found. Two thumbs up for that!!! :-) Valerie.
This is so neat makes me wish I was right there with you taking Pictures an helping to clean away all the briar's. Wetting all the info. So neat motavion for me to get stronger
