@@spiggly_digg He's also referencing that Maroon 5, Coldplay and Imagine Dragons were at 1 stage rock bands that now practically esclusivly play pop. To this day I still think Violet hill is my favorite song by Coldplay, I haven't heard another song by them with heavy distortion.
@Dario Di Iasio there's an anime called jojo bizarre's adventures, the manga was written in the 80s and still is going on, but it only got adapted as an anime in 2012 onward. The author is a huge classic rock and heavy metal fan, so he names his characters and their super powers after songs, albums and artists. He also gave the animation studio a list of his all time favorite songs, and the animation studio uses these songs as ending songs for each season (parts in jojo) ending. Part 1 and 2 both end with the song "roundabout" by yes and the "to be continued" sign appears at cliffhangers, and that's how the meme was born. Other parts also have other songs as their endings, such as part 3 having "walk like an Egyptian", part 5 has "modern crusades" by enigma and "freakin' you", part 6 has "dreamer" by duffy, and I forgot what part 4 ending was 🗿
@@rumblebird9888 They also have many great Progressive Rock songs like And you and I, The Revealing Science of God, Close to the Edge, Heart of the Sunrise, South Side of the Sky, Starship Trooper, The Prophet and To Be Over.
The mic clipping is the cherry on top to one of the funniest videos I’ve ever watched, I love almost all these bands and seeing you poke out their quirks is so true
The U2 bit is spot on, trying to play stuff by the The Edge is a pain in the ass to set up and figure out (weird strumming patterns, tone, sideways dimpled picks, the damn delay, etc.) but once you lock into something like Streets you start floating and it’s glorious. Until your right hand falls off. Tends to happen.
