Favourite chore is a cat nap lol. Just kidding. My favourite 5 minutes chores is quickly cleaning the bathroom sink and counter after I apply my makeup etc. Yes for more videos like this. Unfortunately being french you speak to fast for me to understand you 😢
@ThisCrazyLife I saw that you have a cat, which essential oil do you use? My cats are14 yrs old and very sensitive to smell. There is also many essential oil that are hurtful for cats, I would not want to use the wrong kind. My cats are my babies and they are so spoiled, Lol Thank you for this video, it was very encouraging and it does make a difference at the end. God bless your week and your family Nicole
@@clairebarriault1263 love that 5 minute chore! For me, a cat nap takes much longer than 5 minutes 😂😂😂 but my productivity gets boosted for sure! I’m sorry about speaking too quickly - I was just talking to our youngest son, Noah about this! He talks fast too, and I told him he must have gotten that from me! I talked much faster when I was younger, but I forget I still can talk a bit fast even now 😂
@@nicolehervieux1704 I would just google online which oils are safe/harmful to cats. I spoke to my vet about this years ago, and he told us, if we are using them in a diffuser, etc, it wouldn’t affect them - as long as they aren’t coming into contact with the undiluted version. And before I knew about this, I had used them for years without issues. So I felt comfy still using them in our home. But absolutely do whatever is best & comfortable for you & your sweet cats! 🥹

Put your flat sheet on upside down, so the pattern is facing the mattress, this way when you pull the sheet back you have pattern showing on both the mattress and the top sheet instead of the white back. It makes all the difference in the finished look!
You're such a beautiful soul. Your beauty radiates on the outside and especially on the inside. May God continue to bless you and your wonderful family 🙏🏼
This was a fantastic video. It would be so helpful for anyone like me that lives with anxiety and/or depression. We know a clean space makes us feels better but it's so overwhelming thinking that we need to clean our whole house from top to bottom or why bother. My therapist has worked with me in the past to do this same thing with self care. Just 5 min...brush your teeth and hair put on deoderant. I'm sharing this with everyone.
I learned to slow vacuum from you and I love to slow Vacuum all my carpets at Least once a month. Makes such a difference. I’m 63 and learning new tricks and ideas from you. Thank you Amanda… love your channel ❤
I just realized I do quick cleaning tasks without acknowledging it. lol I recently retired and have arthritis and some days I'm just not up to par. But I can get up and get a little done here and there throughout the day without feeling overwhelmed or over taxing my body. Thanks for sharing your list with us I enjoy your content.
Amanda, what a truly great video! Wow, just look at all you can do in 5 minutes. And if you pick out 3 or 4 chores and do each for 5 minutes, you have a clean house by the end of the week and haven't spent 4 hours a day cleaning. I just love your channel and congratulations on your healthy lifestyle, it's paying off. You look beautiful.
Slow vacuuming does make a huge difference. Especially on rugs. It's like deep cleaning them without the hassle and extra time that it takes to get a carpet cleaner out. It also fluffs the fibres up so much more and makes your rugs feel so much softer.
Anyone having trouble downloading the printable? These are such a great reminder of what we can do in a small amount of time-and also to keep my body moving!
I have fibromyalgia and very low energy due to chronic pain. Seriously- I will gage my energy and say ok, I can only handle cleaning the toilet, do a load of laundry and do the dishes today. Tomorrow I’ll clean the shower and all the mirrors… I have to break down the tasks into what I can manage with my pain levels. Some times it is a full room, but sometimes it’s only one thing in the room, like the vanity or putting away laundry. Thank you for the video! You are alway so positive and remind us to give ourselves grace ❤
Amanda, hi, what a great idea with the 25 quick tips. I am so bad about doing my shutters or blinds. I have 7 windows in the sunroom with wooden blinds. For some reason I hate to wipe them down. I used pledge on them, and now it seems like they just attract the dust more. I do LOVE my e-clothes on glass and mirrors. Maybe they would help on the build-up on the blinds. I will have to give it a try. Love the 5 min cleaning tips what a good motivation idea. Thank you so much. 💓 maybe I can use that on my son to get him motivated. Take care. Blessings to your family.😂❤❤😂
Love these tips, especially while trying to declutter my whole house. This will definitely help keep the areas I have finished stay picked up as well as help get ahead start on the other areas until I can get to them. I use a powdered makeup (Bare Minerals ) so wiping out my sink each morning has become such an important task. You definitely gave me the drive to take on wiping down my cabinets- I moved into my grandma’s house after she passed, per her wishes, & as my mom said, “she cooked everything on high” and I’m sure I’ve added to the issue myself! 😉 Also, totally agree on the feeling you get crawling into a made bed each night.
I use a 15 minute timer with the kids to tidy up before dinner and before bed. It helps winding down at the end of the day and the morning is more organize. Love your tips.
My bathroom is my favourite 5 minute clean and the kitchen. The one I struggle with and tend to forget is my ceiling fans😐 Great insight in this video😊
Amanda, you look so beautiful! My husband says you're the prettiest girl on RU-vid. These are great tips! I cleaned my linen closet and was amazed at how quickly I got it done.
Aww you’re too sweet! 🥹 totally made my day! And I LOVE THAT! Way to go!! It’s amazing how our minds can talk us out of things like that, and then when we actually do them, it wasn’t near as much/hard as we expected!!
Wow Amanda! This such a good idea. Thanks so much for sharing! Dusting for 5 minutes is the best idea. I truly will utilize them all. Take care of you friend!
Brilliant thank you 🙌🏽🤗♥️ And Amanda you are SERIOUSLY looking GORGEOUS 😍🥰 How do you get hotter the older you are getting and I’m over here getting grey hairs on my chin and hairer 🤔🤣 You are such a beautiful soul inside AND outside!🥰♥️♥️xxxxxxx
@@ThisCrazyLife it’s true (the hairy bit and you getting more gorgeous by the day)🤔😂 i will need to start shaving my face side by side with my husband the way things are going for me🤣 Love you Amanda!🥰♥️♥️♥️xxxxxx p.s I’m in Scotland and the weather is just so so wonderful that we are still wearing our winter jackets!! 🤨😩😂
Love these tips! On my way to wipe my cabinets 😅 Please be mindful about overusing essential oils because I learned that some are endocrine disruptors. I have Hashimoto too!
Dusting is a hard one for me , Being only 5 feet tall I don't see the cobwebs and dust above me until I get stuck in one like a spider lolol I swear the dust monsters come back that same day also.Simply do not like dusting. Take care everyone have a awesome day n God bless everyone :) huggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggsssss
I want to make my bed and decorate it a lot, but one of our cats keeps peeing on the bed (well he's being okay at the moment) so we can't leave stuff on the bed unless we want to have more things we need to clean
This is how I clean throughout the day, to make it easier on myself. When you're unwell you have to do what you can, when you can. I still like a nice clean tidy home and this works for me, I would recommend it for anyone who finds themselves unable to go straight through the home in one go, it really does work very well. Thank you for sharing this. 🥰🇬🇧🐾🐾🍄🌷💕
Thank you. I just started watching you. You’re the first person I ever subscribe to. I really enjoy your videos a lot. You are such a kind spirit. I can tell. I really am looking forward to following you. Thank you for all the great tips and motivation. Keep up the good work I’ll keep following.
The countdown from Unreal Tournament at the beginning is a deep cut! My favorite 5 minute chores are making the bed, cleaning the sink/counters, and tidying up one surface like the bench by the front door.
My favorite 5-minute chore is changing the sheets. I do this once a week. When my sons were little, every Sunday was change sheet day...a fresh start to the week of school and work 💜💙💚💛🧡
Such a great idea for a video Amanda! Just starting with a few tasks that only take a few minutes is definitely motivating to continue on to other, more involved chores. This is helpful to so many people ❤
Hi Amanda, I have several other 5 minute tasks that I do and would probably interest you; clean/disinfect door knobs and cabinet/drawer knobs; wash, yes wash lint collector from your dryer (especially if you use softener/dryer sheets) once a month; clean CPAP equipment, weekly at least; clean tv screens; wash and not just dust all your frames, they do get greasy; clean your laundry washer once a month; clean/descale your coffee maker; change your water filter in your fridge (iced water and ice maker); wash/disenfect all your handrails; clean your robot vacuum cleaner; and this last one I do procrastinate but it literally takes only 15 minutes, dismantle your kitchen fan and clean it - I always think this is going to be a long and … job but, come on, 15 minutes…anyways this shiuld be a man’s job 😝. So hope these help you and others out.
We just moved back into our old home and my kitchen drawers are posing the largest challenge right now. I felt like I needed to empty them all (my son unpacked and put thing anywhere that looked doable, lol) and organize. I can do 5 minutes a t a time for sure! Thanks =D Also, I was so excited you have a blog!
Yay! I finally had time to see ur video. Thank u sooo much for a "update" in on minds to maintain our home!! Ur awesome always loved ur videos.. am curious what's next to ur scent drops.. that looks like a scrub.. sorry, I am toooo curious lol
I HATE flat surfaces! Doesn’t matter where in the house. They all seem to be catch alls and I feel like I’m always cleaning them off. The fridge is so satisfying when it’s clean but that’s probably the thing I procrastinate most on doing because it doesn’t feel like it stays that way long.
I just walk around the house with my shark mop/vac and do touch ups for 5 minutes. Makes me feel so much better! Also, I can’t believe how much dirt you got up doing a slow vac! I need to try that!
THIS! It is so true. This is exactly how I do during the week. I deep clean and change the sheets every weekend. Great tips Amanda! Also, I can really tell the keto diet is working it’s magic on you, you are glowing 🤩🥰
Amanda, great tips. I was glad to see I am doing alot of what you shared in my own home. I actually put cleaning my home on the priority list. Its very routine for me bc I don't do well with a dirty home, nor a messy home nor clutter. My OCD and anxiety would never allow me to let my house go for long but i know life happens. I have a few tips to share: 1. Add an ice cube to each of your indoor plants. Its a timesaver and buys you time before you need to water them again. 2. Sort your laundry and pull your bedding off of your bed. It will save time when you're ready to do laundry and force you to do it since your bed is undone. 3. When you're in a pinch with time before company comes over, I often spray the toilet bowl with bleach and use a daily shower spray to freshen up the scent in a bathroom. It will add that fresh clean home scent without the work (of course the house needs to be tidy to appear clean) but I find spraying works at a moments notice 😁🏡👌🏽
I love this!! I had to write them all down 😊.... mopping seems like it takes so long... but i am going to set a timer and get started!!... i am going to nuy tjose w cloth!!! Those look amazing!!!... windows are another thron to do!! But i am getting it done!!!!❤😊 thanks so much!!!!!
I love the list of 25 things to do in 5 minutes. I do find myself doing tasks in 5 minutes. When I am cooking dinner I will wash dishes as I go or clean a shelf in the fridge. I also take the time to wipe down countertops or even clean my microwave. I make my bed every morning and I usually put away clothes or dust my dresser and night table. Thank you for the list I certainly will add to my mental list as well. You are looking great these days. Have a blessed week and enjoy the 4th.of July. Till next time.😊
FYI, the top sheet goes right side down so that when you climb into bed, you are sleeping on the same right side for both upper and lower sheets. I change my sheets every Monday without fail because it is my cleaning day. Can't tell you how blissful it is to crawl into bed, freshly bathed with a clean house and clean sheets. It's the ultimate feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment!!
Amanda, if I may, put your laundry sheet or detergent in the washing machine first, then your clothes. The water will always fill the bottom of the machine but not always the top. It also states this in your washer manual. PS. You look great!
I work from home and got into the habit of making my bed every morning years ago. It is to me a clear delineation that nighttime is over and my day has started.
Something I've been doing for years that does not even take 5 minutes but helps to keep my shower clean is once I've finished having a shower and before I turn off the water I give my shower walls and glass a rinse. If I have shampoo on a surface that won't come off easily, I use my bare hand and wipe it off as I'm rinsing the shower. I find this makes a huge difference, and I can cheat and go a little longer between cleans.
Amanda, thank you for sharing so many great ideas. Some of the ones you shared I already do, but there are some new ones to try like the mirror and the kitchen sink. I have hard wood floors and i will do the slow vacuuming some times because of the cat hair. God bless you and your family🦋⚘
When I first watched Amanda slow hoover I was amazed at how much was in the cylinder, I have done mine ever since I’ve told all my friends and family and people on Facebook and instagram must be hundreds of people , i couldn’t believe the dirt in my hoover with my Westie white hair everywhere but I lost her 2years ago now and I still get hairs out of my carpets and there is only me in the house now I still get extra dirt too it’s so satisfying when you have slow hoovered as you know it’s much cleaner x
Hi Amanda I always look forward to watch your videos all the time. I really like your style of five minutes chores. I will try to make the kids help me with 5 mins chores. Thank you for giving me this idea. I wanted to ask you if you could please share the link for bedding you used in your bedroom.
