It’s very likely that the abyss sibling helped the aranara in order to gain the bhima fruit, which is the actual medicine that can help keep a person sane and clear of mind (since it clears up erosion/varana), for dainsleif. He was probably suffering from the worst of his curse then and the traveler had no choice but to try their luck alone in order to help him.

Nahida also mentioned how Abyss Sibling suddenly had records exactly 500 years ago. It makes me think they had done something to, idk, fuse themselves to Teyvat? Exactly what I was thinking! I thought that Caribert becoming "the Loom of Fate" means he succeeded taking over the sibling's body and mind, while keeping their memories. Thus, he'd recognize the traveler, continue to run the Abyss Order and still being recorded by the Irminsul as the sibling. If that's the case, then we may have to fight our sibling in the end to make them free of Caribert's control and the abyssal powers, so that they can regain their consciousness. But this part is just my speculation.

hmm maybe that it implicates that the unknown god sent both of the siblings different time periods such as the sibling 500 years before and the traveler 500 years after the war? that's how the sibling had records in the irminsul?
@ka-chow7894
@ka-chow7894 Год назад
@@mahroashs The first Dainsleif quest hinted that the Abyss Twin had traveled Teyvat before the Cataclysm while Traveler was asleep. They had woken up Traveler to escape Teyvat when Khaenri'ah disaster happened but, was stopped by SoHP. Abyss twin was forced to stay behind during Khaenri'ah disaster while Traveler was most likely subjected to a 500-year slumber. I think that's when Abyss Twin somehow got tied with something from Teyvat, such as maybe a Khaenri'ahn pure-blood had connected with them? The timeline is a bit confusing haha

@@farhanrejwan I like this! 6:57 Remember that in the past, he ultimately chose to come clean to Diluc about him being a Khaenriah agent because he was conflicted about which side to choose after Crepus' death, and he clearly cared more about Crepus than his birth father So by Kaeya's own will, he is virtually a Mondstadter now But yeah, it's possible that circumstances might cause the name "Alberich" and its legacy to haunt Kaeya in the future... and given its story potential, it's just a matter of time

He certainly is conflicted, but I'm not sure he truly has cut ties with his past. In fact, with the new informations from this quest, I am rather convinced he fears he will ultimately have to follow the abyss because of whatever Clothar did or more probably obtained from the "Sinner". Oh, and, speaking about this: every single bit of the conversation between Kaeya and Dainsleif has to be considered a blatant lie. Kaeya has at least some vague knowledge about a plan his father had, it's mentioned in his Vision story. Plus, seeing the sort of writing exercise we found during the Hidden Strife, he was literally brought up to carry on whatever the Alberichs were planning. Also, he's the one who first informs us about the "prince/princess" of the Abyss Order and..."The legacy of Khaenri'ah is long gone, the sinners are all that's left, and they aren't worth mentioning". This the only one of Kaeya's voicelines directly referring to Khaenri'ah...and the only other time we've heard the word "sinner" in the game so far...it can't just be coincidental. Kaeya kmows far more than he was willing to say in front of Dainsleif. As for us, there was a hidden dialogue before going into the forest where he told us he wanted to talk about "what happened at the last Windblume" so, I have the feeling he might trust us enough to drop the mask, at least partially. All of that doesn't mean he wants to be a part of the Abyss Order or to follow his ancestors' path, he's given very consistent signs of the contrary and I believe the bit about his father leaving him in Mondstadt to give him a better life has a chance to be some kind of self-delusion he tells himself to feel better...but we saw just how powerful the thing in the Abyss is and I believe Kaeya somehow knows too. That would also explain his reaction when he discovered Crepus used a Delusion...

This Archon quest was a mind-full. Since the sibling isn't considered a descender, that means they were summoned by the Royal Court of Khaenri'ah into Teyvat and King Irmin (Irmin, Irminsul... coincidence? I think not) removed this occurrence from Irminsul to avoid suspicion from Celestia. However, their usage of forbidden knowledge had them caught in the end, causing the Cataclysm. I strongly believe now that the first scene of Genshin Impact where the twins are separated was during or right before the Cataclysm. They tried to escape and were cast back into Teyvat as a punishment, hence why the sibling who woke up first decided to follow the Abyss; not because of linear ideals, but to somehow correct a great wrong. As for Chlothar, the Alberich clan, and the "sinner", there are many loose ends still. I am so excited to see the story approaching rising action, and thanks as always for the excellent breakdowns Cat.

wait that actually makes sense..they could have been summoned by real heaven not from celestia since we don't know from where exactly these sibling belong..once they came they could have done as stated in your comment..but they were responsible for cataclysm afterwards and celestia could have seemed the as threat as they would know that celestia is technically fake and its replica of maybe real heaven? to save their skin and to punish them they..threw them back to tevyat...but what did khaneriah do? it was suspected that khaneriah unleashed abyss creatures or used abyss but IF WE GO BY THIS QUEST THEN THE ABYSS CAME INTO THEIR LIFE AFTERWARDS...or maybe big influential ppl would have known abt abyss and used it..whatever they did was so wrong THAT EVEN GODS HAVE TO DESCEND TO DESTROY THEM.. WHATEVER MIGHT BE THE CASE BUT WE KNOW NOW THAT NEITHER CELESTIA NOR KHANERIAH ARE GOOD OR BAD AS THEY SEEMED they could be...NEUTRAL in nature nor good nor bad

I like the idea of one of the twins being summoned first and therefore not being considered a descender. The other twin would only arrive much later in search of the whereabouts of the first, which would be more or less close to the cataclysm. This would explain why the Traveler did not know the language of Teyvat (Paimon who teaches) and why it is always referred to the existence of only one of the .twins in Khaenri'ah and not both. Note: Sorry if the English turned out to be weird, not my first language

IIRC the Abyss Sibling woke up first and saw the Cataclysm happening. They then woke the Traveler and they tried to escape the Teyvat, when they were stopped by the Sustainer of the Heavenly Principles. It isn't known what the Abyss Sibling was doing when they weren't asleep. Some people suggest that the scenes shown in the "We will be reunited" teaser are from that time.

It was mostly implied Khaenri'ah is close to Sumeru since 3.1 in the side quest "Afratu's Dilemma". In the quest, Afratu says "[The Ruin Golem] is said to be a relic of the legendary Dahri people... Hmm, perhaps you're more familiar with the name Khaenri'ah? Dahri is an archaic name that's commonly used in the Vahumana Darshan", thus all references to Dahri mean Khaenri'ah. This quest takes place in the Valley of Dahri (released in 3.1), and northeast of this location is the Ruins of Dahri (released in 3.0).

I'm personally under the impression that the voice is Irmin. Let's rewind to Kaeya's surname, Alberich. We know that this royal line created the Abyss Order. We don't know too much about what Irmin did or whatnot, but we know his name is Irmin. He's a king of K-Town, and we also know he only has one eye. Irmin is actually another name for "Odin," which coincidentally, has a very specific story. In order to gain the power to control fate, Odin hung himself from the world tree and lost an eye. If we fast forward and take a look at the quest item we got from the Sumeru archon quest, the branch reads: "Trees also symbolize widsom. In one of the legends, a sage hanging upside down on a tree had acquired the knowledge of how to inscribe runes and control sacred words, and thus followedt he kingdom established along the tree's roots, eventually gaining a glimpse into the secret of the cosmos." You see how the description matches the story of Odin? From this, we can hypothesize that the sage was King Irmin who gained cosmic knowledge from the irminsul and taught it to K-Town. Revisiting "Irmin = Odin" (who has one eye, and was the king of K-Town), we also know that there were royal knights serving him. If we go into the chasm, coincidentally, we find that the royal knights of K-Town are an enemy type, and drop a very particular item that was featured in the video, the Statuettes, which are literally Irmin's face, the king with one eye. The description of these items are also very interesting. Let's focus on the rarest drop: "A one-eyed carving that emanates an ominous energy, with no indication of what it's made of. As you gaze upon this idol, you can almost hear a strange, conforting whisper... 'See my child. All that lies under the throne of heaven shall be destroyed by upheavel. The eternal peace of the pitch-dark void shall embrace us all.'" *A STRANGE AND COMFORTING WHISPER* Where have we heard this before? From the Sinner. The Sinner, IMO, is King Irmin. King of Khaenri'ah who gained immense knowledge from irminsul. All Khaenri'ah citizens bow and feel comfortable when his presence is around. *Even Dainsleif is affected.* And why? Because he's a pure-blood Khaenri'an. Hence, that's why I believe the voice from the crystal, is Irmin. Irmin, the Sinner.

And he later taught his followers to do the same. I liked the theory that the sibling was killed during the cataclysm and reborn using the power of Alchemy by Gold. This would explain why that crystal thing would call the sibling as 'like a flower, born in sin, but pure, spotless'. You know, like, the thing about Albedo's alchemy is somewhat related to flowers and such, even his power is. You may argue that why did Gold say in the Windbloom quest that 'Of all the children she had, only one remains? But we know that both Albedo and the fake Albedo still exist, so her claim is not as reliable. Or perhaps, she didn’t view the cloned Sibling as her child but simply as a creation. Dain did mention that the source of Albedo's power (alchemy) is tied to the destruction of Khaenri'ah. So, it could be related the clone sibling or not, but Dain doesn’t remember well now because of erosion.

I really like the idea that Khaenri'ah was destroyed and cursed because the Abyss sibling tried to harness the power of the Abyss for Khaenri'ah's attempt to wrest control of Teyvat from Celestia/the Seven. The Seven were summoned to Khaenri'ah and were forced to destroy the nation, as Celestia's dogs. Celestia then cursed the survivors, and since the Seven were there it made it seem as though they were behind the curse. I also love the idea that the Abyss sibling is part of the Abyss Order because of their guilt and their kind heart, similar to the Traveler's. They feel responsible for failing Khaenri'ah so they want to make things right. Notice that they do not directly challenge or oppose the Seven, and rather focus their attention on strengthening the Abyss Order and waging war against Celestia itself. Perhaps the Twin knows that the Seven are not responsible for the Cataclysm, so focusing their attention on petty revenge is just a waste of time. Also - perhaps the "thing" that turned the Abyss sibling into a "being of Teyvat" rather than a Descender, was their usage of the Abyss' power. As we know, the Travelers both used Light elemental powers during their eternal journey through the stars. As we know from the opening cutscene, both siblings still used this element as their primary means of power when they fought The Unknown God. It can be assumed that the Abyss sibling switched over to using the Abyss as their main source of power after this event, which then marked them as "being of Teyvat" and eliminating their origin as a Descender.

> sibling tried to harness the power of the Abyss for Khaenri'ah's attempt to wrest control of Teyvat from Celestia/the Seven. Why they used power of Abyss initially, instead of their own Light elemental powers? To me it seems strange that Khaenri'ah summoned otherworldly beings to Teyvat to wrest with Celestia, who IS extremely sus, and make them use Abyss power. If this Abyss power is something others can use, why they need Siblings? Also it seems strange that Siblings, being otherworldly beings don't know that happens to Teyvat , since they could seen it from "outside". To me it seems like Celestia blocked off part of "something" bigger and imposed her own total control over it, creating Teyvat. And Abyss magic is just something "normal" from outside, but since Celestia like "override" laws of nature that worked "outside" Teyvat, it "melts" her own pet reality. And "outside" isn't a "bad" place since our Siblings most likely won't help Khaenri'ah to break free if outside was a horrible place. Adding a few points regarding to the quest here: - There was one moment when Paimon asks the Traveller about his journey pre-Teyvat and his answer was very suspicious and untrustworthy narratively. His memories could be altered. But then again, he is a Descender and immune to memory wipe so there are a lot of loose ends here. - As from the information from the Fatui, Descenders information have a critical relation with the fact that "the sky of Teyvat is fake," so if we know more on this, we can understand why they Fatui consider Traveller as a Descender but not the Abyss Sibling. - There is more foreshadowing Paimon will leave someday. - In the domain, the are statues that seem to imply Primordial One and its Shades, but one of them was broken - In Battle Pass cutscene (Gnostic Chorus), it really seems like the Princess is the Abyss Sibling, the Kingdom is Khaenriah, the Snake is the "Sinner," the Pearl is some kind of knowledge or whatever Khaenriah's goal, and the second heir is the Traveller. - In the Pale Princess book, we have the Night Mother as the "source of all sins" and from both information from Rhinedottir and Kaeya's voiceline on Fishcl, they are the "great sinner" and "sinner." "Sin" is probably about using the Abyss power. - In the first Windblume event, Kaeya knew hilichurl's language and wrote a poem. Venti probably also knows something about Kaeya but doesn't share it to us.

13:59 I once read a theory, I believe it was by ChillWithAster iirc (one comment says Ashikai, which is probably correct, I do not remember which one it is from so both are listed here), that suggested that the reason the Fatui covered their eyes/at least one eye, was to be able to use the power of a delusion without eroding their mind. Whenever Diluc and Childe use their delusions, they're always wearing a mask that either covers, or surrounds, their eyes. Crepus didn't wear one when he died, nor did Teppei or the other Inazuma soldiers, and it either eroded them or killed them near instantly. I believe that Khaenri'ah's curse functions sort of similarly. Dainsleif covers the skin round one of his eyes, and Kaeya completely covers one. Now Kaeya's could genuinely be an eye injury, but it could also be there to protect his mental state/soul from erosion due to the curse, which is why I believe Dainsleif wears that partial mask. Chlothar did not wear a mask, and as such, started losing his mind. Pierro also wears a mask covering half of his face, and if you notice, Kaeya, Dain, and Pierro all cover the same eye. Not sure what the link is here, but I'm certain it is relating to protection - whether from the powers of a delusion or from Khaenri'ah's curse.

I still suspect that the sibling isn't actually the "original", but rather an imitation that was created by writing specific information into Irminsul, basically coding him/her into the world, which explains the inexplicable appearance in history. However, I suspect that either Celestia or the Heavenly Principles were behind this, while keeping the original safe. The fake sibling was supposed to infiltrate Khaenri'ah to find out about their plans, and when it turned out that they were attempting to gain forbidden knowledge from The Abyss and The Sinner, the sibling was planted as a saboteur, triggering the chain of events that would then lead to the cataclysm. This, in turn, would be a suitable excuse to assemble the gods to strike against the only nation that wasn't under Celestia's rule yet - the nation with no god, somehow capable of standing opposed to Celestia. But for unknown reasons, the fake sibling broke free of Celestia's shackles, albeit too late. Maybe The Sinner freed him/her with his powers, just like he seems capable of undoing the curses afflicting Khaenri'an's, by averting the preordained fate. And now, the fake sibling, unaware of his/her nature as a fake, travels the world to repent for the Cataclysm, by assisting the Abyss Order in overthrowing Order itself. To prevent such a thing from happening again, You, the Traveler is sent to Teyvat to stop the sibling. But by still being the actual Traveler, you aren't bound by the laws of fate, so The Sinner might not be able to change your fate and manipulate you since you're not a part of Teyvat, but a Descender. This might be a risky gambit, as you can potentially oppose Celestia of your own volition - so the "original" of your sibling remains in Celestia's hands as leverage, should you ever step out of line. The only ones who could guide you on your path, are the other Descenders, but that entirely hinges on their identities and own intentions.

According to what you say about "the only ones who could guide the traveler are the other descenders", Paimon should be one as well, it explains why she is one of a kind, nobody has ever seen something like her in the world and she never talks about her origins. This would make sense even if she never heard of the Descenders before, as she said to Nahida during the end of her archon quest, since this term is classified information in the Fatuis record and someone from another world wouldn't even know that they are marked as such by some organization. About her memories maybe Paimon lost hers just like the Traveler did when she woke up that day in Mondstadt, or maybe she's being lying after all.
@KazeMemaryu
@KazeMemaryu Год назад
@@shaezy19 If she really was a Descender, Nahida would've most likely known - the issue simply is that nobody took the opportunity to investigate, so we have no specifics on whether Paimon belongs to Teyvat of not. And Paimon knows nothing about her own origins, either. It's possible that she's exactly what she claims: a guide. Possibly a guide created by Celestia to keep an eye on the Traveler, but without memories or knowledge inferring such a connection to prevent us from growing suspicious. Alternatively, Paimon was created by a Descender to support us. Either side likely would've programmed Paimon to not question her origins to prevent distracting us. However, if we took the things Paimon does as actual abilities and not just quirky mascot stuff, Paimon would have the ability to transcend time, and observe alternate realities: she always turns towards the camera as if looking at us during the Pause Menu, and even speaks to us through the Volume Settings, including getting annoyed when moving the slider back and forth too much. This might suggest Paimon was created by a VERY powerful being. And that's a whole new can of worms...

The Second Who Came idea actually makes a lot of sense. If it were the case, it would provide a plausible solution for a lot of plot holes (not saying that it is the case). The three moon sisters (presumably shades) once lived together in harmony, but due to the forbidden cursed love between a seelie, who is cursed to not love, and an "outlander" (second who came), the three moon sisters perished (three shades died). Naturally this would be seen as a disaster by the primordial one, and this could easily spark conflict, where the primordial one wins and chains the Second. Prior to the Second Who Came, Mankind lived as a utopian single civilization (for the most part). Main point was that there was very little conflict. Second who Came descends and starts a massive war that sends Enkanomiya into the Dark Sea and destroys many existing civilizations in what is theorized to be the Archon War. It is never said that the Second Who Came hated mankind, nor that he intentionally instigated the war, but if he were the cause of the war and the destruction of so much life, he would call himself a Sinner. However, after the Archon War was when the game first mentions erosion, corruption, decay, etc (the workings of the abyss). The abyss could be the result of the curse unleashed by the forbidden union between outlander and seelie. All civilizations that ever dared to learn about the abyss were destroyed. However the Second Who Came (if we assume that he unintentionally caused the war, and didn't purposefully try to destroy everything) would have been furious if he knew the Primordial One was just killing civilizations for finding out about the abyss, after all the existence of the abyss isn't the fault of humans, so they shouldn't pay with their life for a crime that isn't theirs, so the Second gives the fallen a chance to go against the Primordial One using the Power of the Abyss, by letting those who devolve into Hilichurls live on with his power, and when the Khaenri'ans come around he lends them the power to fight back. Ofc this is still speculation, and a major hole that exists is the origin of the abyss itself: whether the voice was locked inside a pre-existing abyss, or if my speculation is right and the abyss was the result of a forbidden love.

Based on my interpretation of the lore, it seems that while the Primordial One was fighting off The Second Who Came with the use of the divine nails, one of the nails caused the moon goddesses' lunar carriage to crash into the hall of stars. The moon sisters then fought each other to the death for some unknown reason despite their equal love for each other. The Goddess of Flowers said this in the description of Amethyst Crown: "And though the invaders brought war to my former kin, they also brought about illusions that could break through shackles to the land." "But the master of the heavens, consumed by fear for the rising tide of delusion and breakthroughs, sent down the divine nails to mend the land, laying waste to the mortal realm..." The description of Nilotpala Lotus states, "But the arrows that tore the skies apart would shatter the gems that adorned the most ethereal of vehicles, and the people would behold the visage of the sovereign of the moonlit nights no longer." Most of the story is written in "Moonlit Bamboo Forest," which suggests that all three sisters died. However, the story in the description of Moonpiercer suggests that only two died and the other locked herself up in her palace. Some parts of the entire story of the moon goddesses do need to be taken with a grain of salt. According to Enjou and Tsumi (from the Three Realms Gateway Offering event), the people of Byakuyakoku (Enkanomiya) believed that there were three realms: the Light Realm (Vishap Realm), Human Realm, and the abyssal Void Realm. The Human Realm only existed when the Primordial One came into the picture. Personally, I believe the other two realms coexisted like how light and darkness can be perceived as two sides of the same coin. Although it could be possible that when The Second Who Came invaded, it brought the Abyss with it. Maybe that's the "illusions" that the Goddess of Flowers was referencing?

Thanks for mentioning that translation from the CN original. It seems to confirm a feeling I've had about Khaenri'ah for a while now. I'm thinking that these curses (immortality/wilderness) aren't curses at all. I think the rulers of Khaenri'ah at some point decided to take on Celestia to take over the world (or for whatever reason really), and they purposefully tried to tap into the power of the abyss. The immortality could even have been the point (feels a bit like a deal with the devil, to then be turned into a demon). That the non-purebloods didn't become immortal could be because they had protection from the Seven still on them that changed the effect of the abyssal energy. I can imagine celestial power and abyssal power interacting to have some weird effects. The ordinary people of Khaenri'ah wouldn't necessarily know what the ones in power were up to when they basically opened the floodgates of hell, so to them it would ofcourse seem like a curse, especially after Celestia intervened to stop the spread of abyssal monsters pouring out of Khaenri'ah after it all went horribly wrong.

Seriously. after this quest this is something i've been thinking too. The traveler and his sibling, arrived in teyvat, but not a smooth arrival. They actually crashed, and were severely wounded both of them. However the traveler wounds were heavy but none mortal and he would heal with time but he went into a state of coma, the sibling however was no so lucky. The sibling was also heavely wounded, but would die soon or later. Khaenri'ha people found them and took them in, to heal one and save the other. However saving the sibling was beyond possible now so they decided to put the "primordial human project" to the test. Probably in the past, the "primordial human project" had issues, like, it was possible to created and human body in perfect conditions, flesh and body would be perfect, but not the mind. They maybe were not able to perfectly synthesise a mind, and thanks the the sibling, this was the very moment, they made the breakthrough. Using Khemia, they made a new vessel of the sibling, a teyvat made vessel, and also using khemia, perharps, they somehow scanned the siblings mind and soul, and transfered it into the new body, thus then making the Irmensul see the sibling and a being born in teyvat, and orinal from teyvat. Or else, knowing how the writers at hoyoverse are terrifying to us sometimes, it also might have gone the bad way, meaning that they actually scanned the sibling mind and soul, made a copy of it, and paste the copied mind and soul into the vessel, allowing them to study and perfect the "primordial human project" while the original sibling died, the vessel is still there, perfect copy, a clone, made in teyvat, with both memories and powers from the original, which in return made the irmensul see it as a being born in teyvat. Basically the original dies, but the clone being a perfect clone with the very same powers and memories, nobody can notice it, only the irmensul and those who were part of the project and just like Albedo, this could mean that if our sibling is a Khemia made clone or transfigured mind and soul version, this means that somewhere in her body, there must be a small "star" shaped mark just like Albedo has it on his neck. This is for now just specullations but this explains very well why the irmensul registered the other sibling a teyvat originary and so did Pierre only note the traveler as a descender. Sorry for the long post... But now seriously, Will Ying'er move to Mondstadt to live with Timeaus ? This is the big question :D

it doesn't fully make sense because it doesn't seem like the sibling was recorded in irminsul until after the twins tried to flee from teyvat after crashing there the first time when the cataclysm started, since there's no information about them trying to flee teyvat. also, if they had cloned the sibling after they landed in teyvat initially, there's no real reason for them to have tried to escape with us, khaenri'ah would've just kept the sibling with them.

Rukkhadevata erected the wall of Samiel to stop the spreading of the abyss to the forest and contained the abyss outbreak in the desert... she then proceeded to help Deshret in getting rid of the abyss and the monsters... however, there was a third party that helped Deshret.. that was the nation of Khaenri'ah.. all the golems found in the desert were actually remnants of their army that they sent to help deshret fight the abyssal monsters.. it would make sense that they would send help if their nation was indeed near Sumeru then their nation would also be at risk of an invasion.

As we see in the quest, it has the power to manipulate fate itself and changes the fate of Alberich, Caribert and possibly the traveler themselves, that is something that the "loom of fate" can do. As the loom of fate or "him" as addressed by dainsleif, transcendes time and space, this loom of fate could be another caribert, who changes the fate of this caribert and this basically goes on in a cycle. As Clothar said: "the power of the loom of fate and the one inside caribert is the one and the same". This does indeed suggest that caribert is looping and becoming the loom of fate, then changing his own fate in the past which again, becomes a new loom of fate.

And wanderer/scara couldn't find anything about the sibling in the irminsul despite (not sure if this is right) having parts of irminsul which made him able to read it like nahida. For some reason nahida found some info about our brother. Who's to say that maybe living a certain amount of time can cause irminsul to record someone or maybe it was a record from someone's pov. What if Abyssal Mages attacks look like Kaeya’s burst because it’s Alberich clan magic? Since they founded the order, it’s likely that its first members would be from the clan, and then they taught it to their recruits? We already knew he spent a substantial amount of time with his birth family before getting adopted by Diluc’s. And since Diluc’s dad and Diluc had prior ties with the Fatui, maybe the reason why the Alberich had Kaeya stayed with the Ragnvindr had something to do with that? I also agree with the old conspiracies about the Fatui having somerhing to do about the matters with the Heavenly Principles and his bit about his grandfather retrieving the Traveller’s weapon might actually not be just some tales. He probably did or did not lie about that and was told that story because it became a family heirloom that haven’t yet made an appearance? I wish I paid as much attention during calculus.

I think the “Loom of Fate” is something tied to the Abyss order twin(obviously), someone is weaving their fate to change how the story is supposed to be, when you google about the loom off fate it is best to have *THREE* mages/magic-users, implying that there might be three people weaving the life of one mortal, the other twin in the story, and they cannot change their fate, the only way to stop them from controlling them is to directly destroy the loom of fate. This is just a speculation and just based off my thought process and researching, it’s also just a theory so sorry if this ends up being confusing. 😅

In my perspective, the Abyss, presumably the Second who came is not inherently evil. It is described being a form of "truth" that can alter fate. Despite Tevyat living in peace under the rule of Celestia, again presumably the First, it seems Teyvat's "fate" or ending is something sealed and Celestia wants to keep it that way - Hence the conflict between Celestia and Abyss starts. It could be the civilization of Khaenriah wants to break Tevyat's sealed fate that's why they used Abyss' power and knowledge. From Celestia's view it's a rebellion, from Khaenriah, it's revolution. The Fatui/Tsaritsa wants to do the same as Khaenriah, to defeat Celestia without the help of Abyss. It's all gray really.

Y’know, in the part where we first encounter the Sinner, the Sinner says, “You are like a flower born in sin yet pure, spotless…” If we take this as dialogue meant for the sibling, then this is my theory: Considering that Rhinedottir was considered a sinner for creating a bunch of creatures that would end up trashing Teyvat during the Cataclysm (pretty irresponsible in my opinion. To be frank, I think Rhinedottir really deserved the title of sinner), the “born in sin” part could mean that the sibling really was created by/reborn through the Art of Khemia through Rhinedottir. But if the dialogue was meant for the Traveler, then what if it’s the other way around?

My theory is that the Tsaritsa had long since died and that Pierro was the one taking over everything. Venti mentioned that she had cut ties with the rest of the Archons after the cataclysm which might explain why we never see, hear, or know much about her apart from the Harbingers. She wasn't even hinted or seen when they bid their goodbyes to La Signora. My guess is Pierro hid the fact that the Tsaritsa died, took hold of her Gnosis and realized how much power it can give to someone. Given the Khaenri'ahns immortality, it can be assumed that he can sustain whatever damage or corruption the Gnosis has, the same as how Hulk's arm has been corrupted by the infinity gauntlet. The Cryo Archon is known as the God of Love, so it wouldn't make sense for her to do what Snezhnaya is doing, unless someone else took over.

So I have a theory. The Sinner mentions that he is not a god, but that he will give them power. What if he put his essence in Caribert, and Caribert became the power that fuels the abyss? And the Loom of Fate project is to turn Caribert into a full fledged god with his power? Caribert is used as a vessel for the power of the abyss, and will end up becoming the god that they’ll use to try and reverse the curse and fight the archons.
@explodingtrashcans

since the twin was the prince/princess of khaenriah they might have been cursed along with the rest of the khaenrians. however due to their nature of being a descender their curse could be slightly different from the curse of immortality and the curse of the wilderness(hilichurl curse). maybe the curse they received was that they can never leave this world, to be forever stuck in teyvat? hence when the siblings try to leave the sustainer stops them (let’s say the twin doesn’t know of their curse) and that’s why the irminsul also has records of the twin..

Some extras. When the traveler wakes up Dein tells them they had a dream of their "sibling" and not "brother/sister", not giving away that it's a memory of the abyss counterpart. Talking to Chlothar we are given the choice of "some gods are my friends" or "some gods are my rivals". Since the game gives stupid choices at times i didn't think too much of it, but it stroke me as weird since only the Sustainer is a foe and not at the point of "rival", but actually enemy. It was thought cause the abyss sibling at the time was in no friendly terms with any "gods" unlike the traveler. The medicine requires power from the "god of wisdom" does not necessarily refer to Rukkhadevata. Sumeru AND Inazuma's quests have show another possibility. And the most important of all. Caribert removed his mask and saw himself while in the hut. No big explosions or anything dramatic. Just a broken mirror. Then outside he removes his mask and kaboom. What does this imply? That hilichurls hate washing themselves ^__^

@@manoharalisa5829 I know. Like I said, the sibling wasn't recorded on Irminsul until they suddenly appeared in Khaenri'ah. My assumption is that the only reason the sibling was on Irminsul's records is that after they arrived on Khaenri'ah, they had a puppet created for them and had their consciousness transferred to it. After the puppet went to the abyss, they once again disappeared from Irminsul, as Teyvat seems to reject anything or anyone associated with the abyss. But this doesn't really explain why the MC can feel or access the sibling's memories wherever they go. I suppose if the people of Khaenri'ah could create puppets that could store godly power in them (Scara, Raiden), there's nothing stopping them from getting creative.

I think the Sibling came by summoned and still got the power, while the traveller isn't. Nahida mentioned that the sibling had travelled the 7 nations. This could mean the sibling once met Piero and also the Tsaritsa's forces and acknowledged the fake sky and the truth that even the God of Wisdom couldn't understand. Which is because she is also under the nature of Teyvat, under the control of Celestia. Judging by the name of Sustainer of Heavenly principles, she must do something to balance peace if she helps Khaenri'ah by bringing the sibling, that mean they must do something against the fake sky. While Khaenri'ah grow stronger by building up more population, the Heavenly started to curse them who have blood with Teyvat people, cuz they're thier children. While Curse can not put directly to those pure blood of Khaenri'ah, so they bless them by the gift of immotality, or like the Knight in the Chasm like Hafdan's being. Rukkhadevata said that while she discovered the core of forbidden knowledge, it came from the bottom of the Abyss, which means King Deshret and King Irmin might have faced the same power. The Forbidden Knowledge can erode Rukkhadevata's soul, this power seems to be the Abyss we called in the present time. Both of the nations are all good with Tech and Mechanism. And these are just my theories...

In the event, Kaeya’s father writes that Kaeya should never forget that the Albrechts were the ones to step in when Irmin the one eyed king became indisposed. And the one who stepped in was Anfortas. Kaeya definetely was left in Mondstadt to infiltrate for Khaenri'ah Also, I'm not sure, but I think I remember Chlotar (sorry for the spelling?) calling the abyss sybling "Abyss Prince" not Khaerian, at least in the Spanish translation but I might be wrong So during the cataclysm Celestia called all archons to fight in Sumeru? About why the abyss sybling is not a descender, I think it's because at some point the abyss sybling achieved I think the Aranaras do remember someone helping them not just the Abyss Sybling ... But hey, I think the Abyss Sybling helped them to solve the consecuences of the Cataclism, so after the encounter with the Sustainer of the Heavenly Principles, the Abyss Sybling was casted to Sumeru? And there it helped the Aranaras Definitely the curse is Celestia's fault and the Archons do not agree anymore with Celestia, it's just surprising that Celestia just doesn't care about what's happening, the Archons cutting their ties with them or the Fatui gathering the gnosis... Or perhaps they don't know? But how come? Dainsleif isn't affected by those weird effects of mind because well, he is a pure blooded Khaerian, he is just cursed with immortality, not the lose of one's mind which is the curse that the Hilichurls have... (?) Also wow, in English Chlotar sounds 10 times creepier and crazier than in Japanese Wait, real queston, where is said that Khaerian existed for that long? Pretty sure Caribert's mother died after becoming a Hilichurl since Chlotar said he watched them both become monsters What's in that place where we saw the Great Sinner nowadys? I need to check that place to see if the entrance is looked or something Could it be that the Abyss Sybling actually bow down? Or was it talking to the Hilichurls? That would explained the "Born in sin, yet pure, spotless" since Hilichurls (Not pure-blood Khaerians) do not have any fault of the Great Sin that Khaeriah was judged for About the Great Sinner I've seen theories that afirmed that voice is the last king of Khaerian... And about the Sinner seeing the traveler I don't think it necessary means the voice has some "time powers" but it was the Sinner who made the Traveler see those memories, after all if the Abyss Sybling decided to join the Abyss after learning the Truth of this World, why wouldn't be the same for the Traveler? Maybe it showed the memories in order to bring the Traveler to the Abyss' side as well About The Primordial One vs The Second who Came... How do we know who won? Its quite possible there was a Old Khaeni'ah that was destroyed around the time Enkonomiya and such were separated from the world, back when Phanes found the second. In which case, its possible that the people of Khaeni'ah remained loyal to the forgotten Phanes, while the second who came replaced them, and rather than trying to take over the world, they are trying to free theirself. Also, seeing as how the sibling was sealed in Khaeni'ah until the catacylsm, their release can very much be connected with what Khaeni'ah did. Something you didn’t mention, but seemed significant to me, was the fact that Paimon wasn’t with us. Granted, this is probably because the Traveler was experiencing the past via a dream affected by memories from the ley lines. Since everything happened inside the Traveler’s own mind, it would make sense that Paimon wasn’t there. On the other hand, Mihoyo rarely separates us from our little travel guide, and almost never without a reason. It makes me wonder if something different would have happened if Paimon had been with us… such as our encounter with the “Sinner.” It’s been widely speculated that Paimon has SOME sort of connection to Celestia, and it seems very likely that the “Sinner” has a history with Celestia as well, so who knows what might’ve happened if that had come face to face.

This but a crack theory of mine: - The seelie race in their prime (powerful fairy deities) is an ally of Phanes (1ts), Phanes create first human race, and the seelie guided them, teach them, skills, techniques to live, survive ( use fire, craft tools, hunting, plating etc....) . After the war between Phanes and the 2nd broke out , although we don't know who won, yet, but the result is the seelies got banished and cursed, strip of all powers and reduced to the form of little ghosts we see today, if Phanes won, why on earth he kill and curse all of them, his allies... After this, the sole survivor (as we know) was Nabu Malikata, some how she survived the purge, maintained her form and mind but also lost big parts of her powers. Later Nabu Malikata is the one who taught Amun about Forbidden Knowledge. The reason she knows about it is because she once served the one who wield it - Phanes. - The architecture of the first human age (Phanes's era) use the unique grey/gold architecture, very easy to distinct from any nation's architecture of Teyvat today. This structure can be spotted in the inverted city under the Chasm, underground ruins in Fontaine, Enkanomiya and of course the unknown sanctuary where we find the Sinner. - Talk about Enkanomiya, they are the peoples of the first age. Plunged deep down in the fight of their god Phanes and the 2nd. After an ammount of time, Ishtaroth (shade of time) one of four shades of Phanes came down to Enka and helped them build Dainichi Mikoshi. It helped them to live their and told them dont ever try to comeback to the surface before leaving them forever and never return. The people ASSUMED that since Ishtaroth still alive, Phanes must have win. My guess here is, Phanes lost to the 2nd, and Ishtaroth is the last surviving shade - since it's the only shade to answer their cries, all of Phanes human civilization were destroyed by the 2nd - now is Celestia and created anew. Ishtaroth tried to help the last surviving Phanes peoples to live under Enkanomiya and tell them to not return to surface to protect them from the new reign of Celestia, because if they comeback they will all be killed. It then go up and distract the 2nd-Celestia from the zone where Enkanomiya dwell and got killed, thats why it never return to Enka again.Thousands years later Orobashi discovered people of Enka, bring them back on Teyvat, it ask them to change their name to Teyvat's name (specifically Inazuma names) and stood up to take the death sentence for them (and because the knowledge of it about the Phanes's era a.k.a Be4 Sun&Moon) - in the form of waging war against Ei - Shogun. Edit: This all is heavily contrasted with what Apep told us, i know. Because Nibelung sought the Forbiden Knowled - Abyss to fight against Phanes then theres noway Phanes can be the Sinner. But its a crack theory, and who knows, perhaps after thousands and thousands of years, Apep might become a little deranged...?
