5:42 once you see the barrel smiling at you, you cannot unsee it. Just a tip with clay blocks: get some thin mechanic's wire and wrap a couple of dowel handles, using a piece of it to slice the block like a cheese cutter. You can slice through a wound lengthwise and observe the cavity.
I was looking into airguns a while back but ultimately went with the gemtech mist integrated suppressor barrel for my Ruger 10/22 because of the extra PCP expenses like compressors. Its super quiet with CCI segmented Subsonic ammo. I wonder how it would compare to these in your clay test???
Some interesting data for a dispatch gun for trapping. I use a .22 air gun for skunks. That soft projectile would never go through the far side- which is perfect.
I love my m3 .30 Cal. Let me know your slug settings. I can get sub-moa with the FX 45 grain pellets, but I can't group slugs smaller than 1.5" at 75 yards
Since these are used for small game I would like to see a comparison shooting skin on bone in chicken breasts to show how they perform on flesh and bone. It would be like a mini version of Paul Harrell's meat target.
That was s great video. P S. I bought many things from P.A. and their Airgun Depot company. Both are great. There's another place in Orem, Utah called Utah Airguns.
The windshield on the side by side moved a little when you used the.30 cal . A small shockwave gave it a little wiggle. I didn't see anything from the.25 cal. The barrel was at a different location for each . Air pressure does some interesting stuff at higher volume.
This is good, they did not come out the back, they dumped all their energy, I watch a few and a couple in S Africa (one in the EU) really put the whammies on the pigeons, flying rats.
Hate to say it but with the slug design exactly the same except for diameter, the speed should be equal, like 900-950 fps for these particular slugs, in order to assess equivalent expansion/energy dissipation. Airgun slugs are unlike firearm slugs and these in particular, made by the same manufacturer, are made of the same lead composition and the exact same design for maximum expansion and energy transfer, not penetration. Harder lead of the same design would penetrate more. MANY factors to consider.
I bought a Gammo..one of their best models Was very disappointed in this air gun .I guess the springer air guns are not .near as good as the PCP air guns. You can by a good 22 rifle for about the same price.. best.. Was very disappointed in this air gun.
