I found myself riding a Triumph Street Twin in the Ozark National Forest in Northwest Arkansas in July. A friend texted me "why are you in Arkansas?" So I wrote down some thoughts, which were the basis for the words in this video.
Arkansas is place I had ridden in initially during 2017 on a motorcycle trip from the east coast to Denver on my Triumph Bonneville, but wanted to explore a bit more when I found myself passing through in July 2021.
On this trip, I was able to visit towns I had never been to - Bentonville, Rogers, and Eureka Springs - with their unique characters. But also able to explore some excellent roads in the Ozark National Forest such as AR-23 (Pig Trail Scenic Byway), parts of AR-7, and AR-21. The Ozark National Forest is one of those places you can choose any road and it will likely be a quiet, forested and scenic road.
I rode for ~600 miles over two days on a rented Triumph Street Twin. It was an excellent bike for the adventure - as it was super capable on the pavement, on twisted roads, and on any dirt that I came across.
