I knew he would snap…. Tim is not an Austin guy, he’s got LA all over him… he has the personality of a wealthy middle aged jewish woman from New York who wants to live on the pacific
Every year, Tim should live wherever his audience vote for. For democracy's sake, each vote would cost $1 and one could buy as much votes as one wants. Let's send Tim to places.
@@scottp.548 See, a world of opportunities opens with a simple proposal. It would be perfect for a social experiment: as NJ is almost the sema size of Israel, Tim's production team could arrange a scenario - real or fake in which the surrounding states vow to erase NJ from the map and we could see how Tim deal with a shower of rockets coming from CT during a month.
Please never sack Ben. Never ever. Promise that! He is an organic part of this podcast. Him laughing is so so important to this show. WE LOVE YOU BEN!!!
Okay I think we have our next NETFLIX pitch. 'The Hangover: 4'. Tim, Abby Martin and Bari Weiss all wake up in Palestine and they need to find what happened to Ben. Crazy antics ensue. Do we have a deal?
LA is great if you live in the right area of the county, if Timmy were smart he’d move to Pasadena area around the Ice House, quiet neighborhoods full of STUNNING estates. So awesome that he’s beginning to get the kind of fuck you money to move anywhere now
If they have our favorite podcasters advertising things in their own way because they kind of like the service I could get behind it. Tim has such a way of describing things tho so it might be unique. Not many advertisers ready to just say “yeah you can talk about dick and sweaty ballsacks in the segment”
Tim Dillon reminds me of Russel Brand...An American gritty and smarter version. I love when Tim riffs on his interactions with ppl working in the service industry.
Called it late Vinny. I’m 26 in CA but I knew for everyone else there wasn’t a move. What I will say that there is opportunities in Austin w/ folks who have boat loads of dough or were born into money. Joe Rogan and Elon Musk; one go a (low end) 100-300million (high end rumors that have been whispered) and the other trying to buy the stars. Nationalism bit at the end by Weis.. bizarre to be living during this time.
Tim’s hate for Austin is probably his best rant since he took apart LA, the place he is about to move back to. Time for the king to be back at Boa Steakhouse with the Nelk Boys.
Tim liked LA whilst he complained but celebrated how vapid and materialistic Los Angeles is, there doesn't seem to be the same bipolar revelry for Austin's faults with him.
You don't know what you got till it's gone. I moved from a great beach town in New England to Vegas and I was back within a year and tens of thousands of dollars I just let go down the toilet to reclaim my life and get back to civilization. Vegas is another town of losers that like Austin has had massive growth and fancy suburbs for failures to pretend they are in beverly hills.
The previous episodes guest was infinitely more convincing. This lady sounds like she wants us to feel bad for Israel and the last guest is like they’re literally squatting on families homes I mean . . . Idk from the outside looking in I’m not feeling this episodes side of the argument
@@Seriouspup u shouldn’t they r currently doing the same horrors to the Palestinians like the Europeans did to the native Americans when they colonized America. She justifies it by claiming the Israelis are morally superior n more deserving of the land because they r a good & tolerant people compared to all the other people in the Middle East. When u point out d atrocities they will call u a fascist & racist to smear ur reputation rather then engage in honest dialogue.
I'm glad he had Bari on because she spent the first portion of this interview bringing up peripheral facts to obfuscate the details of the current conflict, which only weakens her argument in my opinion.
Israel needs to stop expanding into Palestinian territory, stop overresponding to attacks/riots, among other things. But when “progressives” say things like Israelis have no ties to the land, Jews shouldn’t be there, etc. it starts to get into a territory I don’t feel comfortable with. Suspect.
Woulda been nice if they had flipped it on her and asked if she would be okay giving up half her land to the native Americans who also have historical ties to America.
@@303TAG303 right, because some of the hijackers were Saudi origin. That's like saying Tim McVeigh bombed OKC on behalf of the US govt. In other words, pure horseshit
Yep, in a classic Bari Weiss move she just implies that everything that Abby said was wrong and biased, then she goes on to not address ANYTHING that Abby specifically said. Instead Bari opts to spew talking points, and she doesn't even do a good job at that.
As a born and bred Texan who is definitely not an Austinite, as soon as I saw the title I knew what his announcement was going to be. I cackled alone in my kitchen for ten straight minutes.

@@jakesnacks1149 In order: Her artless ad hominem (sorry, "throwaway line") against Abby Martin. Her ad hominem against the audience that being disgusted by Jewish behavior makes us "far left". The Jews were colonized by the Ottoman and British empires (an absurd lie, she's counting on you to know zero about history). Palestinians are Jews' "mortal enemy". Occupying Palestinians' homeland is justified because Palestinians are incapable of "flourishing" on their own. "There's no Christians in Gaza" (you can easily disprove this by going to Gaza on google maps and searching for churches). Land theft is OK if it's on a small scale ("It was about six homes", "Israel is smaller than New Jersey").
As someone who just left Austin after 12 years of chasing my dream of being a fat drunk loser (and failing) this was exactly what i needed to hear today.
yep, she's a liar and a propagandist. The way she rolls her eyes at anything concerning the rights of Palestinians is a real turn off and super dead give a away that she doesn't believe what she says and is only serving an agenda that benefits her. Also the way she unprompted brought up 9/11 and the Isreali connection conspiracy immediately gave her away. It's like no one was even thinking about that until she brought it up.

@@cullenquint Yeah the guardian article says "forced contraception" which really does change the narrative, they didn't permanently sterilize them. Well it's true though if you ask most of the so-called Anti Zionists 2-3 more questions they'll will show their true face. Also, Palestine, like most Arab places is horrible if you lived there for a year you'd beg to live in Israel and wave the Israeli flag

Tim sides with Marxist anti semite terrorists and foreign agent spies like abby communist martin. Does he wants the Jewish people to be erased as the side he seems to favor or does he neglect the terrorists firing first into Israel after being guided by a foreign terrorist anti semetic state to do so? Tim needs to wake up. Hes allowing advocates for genocide on his show and endorsing bds is supporting nazi genocidal propaganda plain and simple. Perhaps he should think about what hes endorsing, in the 30s it would have been called nazism
This honestly may be Tim's greatest moment. Thank you again for being one step ahead and making me laugh. If you want any proof of how right Tim is, watch an episode of Kill Tony - these people are insane lol.
I've only driven up there a few times, and that was enough for me to start calling it The Texas Toilet. "The stench of human failure fills the air!" Yuuup!
Imagine people so dumb they think 'pull it' meant a controlled demo and not in reference to the search and rescue effort regarding Building 7. This is obvious if you watch more than a 3 second edit, for context, and more obvious when you read the FDNY communications transcript that shows they expected it to collapse hours before it did, and pulled the search effort and cleared a perimeter around the building.
@@russellm2555 Words matter, "pull it" is a term in demolition to take down the building, whereas, "pull them out" would be the correct phrase. That way people don't get confused and demo a building.
Tim: "What's up with this genocide?" Bari: (gives history of Israel) Tim: "Sooo that's why genocide is ok?" Bari: (shows videos of victims of genocide calling for the death of their oppressors) Also, the way Bari sniped Abby Martin with the "9/11 truther" smear was dirty. A confident person wouldn't feel the need to insult the person they are arguing against when it's not related to the topic at hand.
Coming from Bari "Tulsi Gabbard is an Assad toadie" Weiss, should we expect any standard or bar of decency? Absolutely not. Bari is as petty and petulant as it comes.
Went below the belt too making a hypothetical about gays getting thrown off roofs. Does that happen, I'm sure it does. Clearly, she was trying to influence him. Not proper journalism
It actually gives me hope to see people that have a good head on their shoulders and are able to spot things like this. Sometimes it seems like everybody has lost their sense... The world is insane lol. People love to defend lies and they hate the truth.
I’m Palestinian American. A good chunk of us do believe Israel has a right to exist. We also believe we have a right to not be pushed out of our homes at 4 am with rifle butts and have our property bulldozed. Also being able to move freely would be great too, Bari. 👍
The two state solution is a compromise. Having to say what Zionists want you to say, to attest that "Israel has a right to exist", is just another one of their tactics to move the conversation away from the actual issues of occupation and dispossession. "Israel has a right to exist" is a stupid distraction.
Somehow I think Bari's mind would explode if you were to point out the Transfer Agreement. Or that one of the precursors to a homeland in the middle east was a certain family funding farming settlements in the frontiers of the US in the mid-to-late 1800's. I'm not anti-Israel by the way, it's just funny how little some of it's supporters know about the history of setting up a homeland
the fact she tried to say the conflict, in terms of wars around the world, "hasn't been that long", and that she has no idea why there is an "absolute and utter fixation" by the media about what is going on now, proves your point, at least in this situation.
Yeah, unbelievable. Now tell them how Islamist were fighting with the Nazi's before there was even a thought of Israel. Wonder what in the world to 2 facists cults both using religion to justify their actions would join forces for........Hmmmmm
Yup. I grew up in it and it wasn't half of what the Israelis are doing to the Palestinians. Also let's remember this was the same chick who slandered Tulsi Gabard wholesale and then when Rogan asked her to explain she was like ...um...um..it's known. HACK!
I'm glad Tim pushed back a little but he should have fucking destroyed her when she started talking about the things Israel has had to do like bomb schools and hospitals in response to Tim asking about bombing the AP building.

Easy to prove that Hamas fires rockets from civilian areas, schools and hospitals. Nobody is disputing that. They fired 4000 rockets at Israeli civilians. Sad that is ok by you and the progressive left.

I love how often Bari uses anecdotes about people to imply large trends, like the story of a person who "Had to go to Tel Aviv to study in University" but Bari ONLY uses them selectively to support her side. Hey Bari, guess what, I've seen like 30 anecdotes from Palestinians who got kicked out of their homes in the last 2 weeks, like soldiers with guns barged in and forcibly removed people and took their houses. How about the anecdotes of Israelis destroying Palestinian olive trees all over Palestine? Anecdotes of Israelis attacking Palestinians? How about you use one of those? according to bari those people are scum who can't be trusted to manage their own land and israelites need to move in to make the area prosperous. 🙄 She has ZERO empathy with the Palestinians.
She made her career pressuring universities to kick out their Palestinian (mostly, there's probably an Arab or two in general in there) professors and staff for talking about the Gaza situation. Sucessfully I might add.

Yeah RU-vid automatically "shadow-bans" any comment that goes against Bari provided it has some "Key words". Most of my comments are nowhere to be found. But I agree, she basically just never answers any questions, she brings up distantly related issues as a kind of defensive stance. At one point she basically says that since Asian Muslims are also mistreated by China, then the ones in Gaza should be too. It is just like all this low-key defensive crap she throws at Tim. It is such a misguided conversation because she keeps moving the goal posts away from the real issue at hand which is the border/settlements issue.
Bari sounds like she knows what she is talking about to someone who doesnt know what they are talking about, but to anyone with more than half a brain, she comes off as totally insane.
A lot of modern communication seems to be learning how to convince people you are correct through tone, posture, body language, facial expression, clever wording and catchy slogans.
