I have a Remington 700 257 Robers as well and used to shoot Nosler 100gr solid base bullets but they changed the olgive angle and my rifle wouod not group them any more. So I tried 100 gr Speer spitzer bullet with .010 from the lands with 40.grs of H4895 and a Fed 210 primer groups 5/16" with 5 shots. Shot many deer and bears out 250 yds with amazing bullet retention and chronographed 3100fps. Its amazing and I called Speer of my findings and got back alot of interest from other 257 Rbts owners!

As always Excellent! Willie has a m77 257 also. That trigger feels amazing. Can't wait to see this shoot! 👍👍 Satterlee Method is the best!

Great video. I love the old tang safety Rugers and the 257 is a great cartridge. Glad you were able to keep the gun in the family👍🏻🇺🇸

Great video. Glad your able to keep a special gun in the family. Hopefully you’ll be able to share your results. This is the first time I remember ever hearing of a 257 Roberts.

I had one of these rifles a while back but the only bullet I could get to shoot well was the 115g Nosler BT. Gunsmith polished the trigger sear and it was a nice improvement. Shot several deer with that rifle

That's a beautiful rifle. I'm looking for .257 Roberts myself. I have a 25.06, but would like the "other" 25. Went to a large place near Atlanta with supposedly 10,000 guns and they had one used M77 in the caliber (hard to believe for such an inventory), but it sure wasn't as nice as yours. May look into the Kimber select grade as a Cooper is WAY out there on price.

Does the Saterlee method work for cast boollets too?🤔🤔

Tim. The 500 yard cast bullet video I just posted a few weeks ago, when I hit five in a row for a sub 2 moa group. I never even shot that load at 100 yards. I went right from the test to 500 yards. I'm sold on it.

Is Nosler 257 Robert's brass the best you've found or have you tried several brands? I'm building my son a 257Rob AI. so it will see a bit of abuse forming to Ack. Imp.

which is more accurate the 22-250 or 257? any interest in shooting cast out of them?
@coatsbrothersfirearms8406
@coatsbrothersfirearms8406 5 лет назад
The .22-250 is very accurate with 55gr Nos BT's and Varget I have not really shot "Bob" yet. No real interest in cast with my .22-250 I have been looking at a 105gr NOE mold for the 1/4 bore.
