I agree with Travis, the talent is on the rise, but I think one spot we are missing is a dominant 5. Omar was outstanding, but maybe a little undersized, USU has Osobor at 6'8" and also a 7 footer at the 5 and Sakho at 6'11" and Brown was outstanding at the point.
@1:06:50 Brandon et al. are very optimistic about Dirk, but I kinda wish we had gotten to see OC Hamdan's offense with no holds barred. I think we saw what was possible really start to emerge during the MWCCG vs UNLV. But yes, Dirk is a game changer, I just really hope Spencer really hits a follow-up home run next off season. Also, during his spring press conference, Dirk said he would only be involved in on-campus recruiting.
While I was bummed to see Bush leave, his history tells us he was leaving soon no matter what. To be able to have Dirk who has more experience by far than any other OC in the MW is huge tho and there’s no doubt gives us the upper hand schematically against anyone we play. There’s just no long term guarantees anymore, and to get him for a year (or two who knows) is huge imo.
Not sure I agree. Loved having Travis on and someone with his passion for BSU and who really is involved with the inter workings of the athletics at BSU.
