How would a top elite boxer like Deontay Wilder do in this? Even if they're not completely hardcore for bare knuckle, with a bit of bare-knuckle training wouldn't their boxing pedigree really overcompensate? They are fist boxing specialists and also would be able to punch very very hard, they have to punch hard enough to do damage with pillows on their hands, imagine the power a top elite boxing specialist would have in bare knuckle. And incredible skill to go with it. But we won't see them will we because any top elite boxer will be wanting to make the boxing money.

This is a great example of why bare knuckle boxing is actually safer for the athletes than traditional boxing. Traditional boxers wear gloves to protect the hands, not their opponent’s head. Although the gloves help prevent cuts like this, they allow for 12 rounds of concussive, brain-swelling head shots to take place. Meanwhile, McSweeney gets a cut and loses fair and square, buts walks away healthy instead of dropping into a coma and dying like too many traditional boxers do.
I'm not sure how I feel about this situation. Lavar Johnson has been arrested for assaulting his girlfriend/co-habitant on more than one occasion with the most recent incident resulting in a 5 year prison sentence. I recognize some folks would say he's "paid his dues to society" however assaulting women is highly offensive in my opinion.
Good grief, both of these guys look like the descended from the Halls of Olympus for this fight. I'm surprised there wasn't a clap of thunder after that punch from Lavar Johnson.
I don´t think people can withstand many punches from a 265 pound beast without a glove. I don´t blame them for the short fight. Those punches could take the soul out of the biggest of men.
Sweeney needs to chill with the fighting! Used to love watching him back in the day. What a beast! But seriously the last few fights he's had, he keeps getting mashed. I'd like to see Sweeney train people now rather than keep getting knocked out. Bring through the next UK fighters instead of keep getting hurt.
I hadn't seen McSweeney in a while and thought he was gonna dominate like I've seen him do in the past. Was not expecting this. Bare knuckle is a different animal than gloved fighting, for sure.
at 5:00 you can see a lady showing us that it 's gonna be round 1 , in 25 years i never really gave attention to that gimmick in fighting sport , the sexy useless girls , but that one not showing that much with a cool and clean outfit was very attractive and had my attention , enough to comment about it ....XD
Apparently bare knuckle fans don’t watch anything but bare knuckle because not one comment has mentioned the fact that the schmo was interviewing the fighters... and he’s one of the most widely loved out there

He is trying so hard to play some fake character and nothing about it is funny or authentic. I know Sheeple will follow anybody put in front of them but this is just way too much with the fake gimmick. If you are over 12, follow this guy, and find this guy entertaining then you really need to reevaluate everything in life or go watch WWE. The Pit does look great, you can't get any better than that as far as a clear view not only for the fans but for the cameras too , its truely sensational.
